[WR] Hot Wheels Velocity X NG+ Any% (Cheats) Speedrun -

Extremely good run! I beat my old time of 26:26. I was prompted to try again at this category because a fellow speedrunner and HWVX fan, Alaxend0l, challenged my 26:26 time by getting a 26:28, only two seconds behind my old run. I was happy to have some competition and did many attempts, resulting in this run.
This run has some differences compared to the old run, like how I use HW Prototype 12 for Mission 1 and 2 now. I used to use Jet Threat 3.0 and Power Rocket respectively because they made the skips easier. However, besides making the skips easier, they were slightly slower vehicles. Now, I use HW Prototype 12 for those skips because I've practiced them enough to where I can do it with that car, and it's a bit faster. Also, in Mission 4, there's a new cool ramp jump strat towards the end of the Mission discovered by Alaxend0l. This makes the Mission faster, and is easy to do with Jet Boosters, so I use Jet Boosters now in Mission 4 instead of the Quantum Annihilator. There's also a couple new strats in Mission 8... I tried to do the first one which involves riding an invisible wall to get to the disk early, but I screwed it up. I did manage to do the other new strat successfully, which is a ramp jump to get into the tiny upper entrance and is pretty difficult. I also did an extremely good Fastlane kill in Mission 9. I got the Mission 12 skip after a few tries, so it didn't go too bad. Lastly, the new fastest way to do Mission 14 is by starting out with Jet Boosters instead of the Quantum Annihilator. This is because you can get a Quantum Annihilator in the Rupert fight, and the Jet Boosters makes getting to the fight fast enough to save time. Yep, videos are 1080p and 60 fps now! I still use the lowest aspect ratio of the game since I'm used to it, but yeah.

i love this run and i love this game!! i want to do a run like this but my Capture Card records PS2 Gameplay in terrible quality for some reason (even though i literally have an HDMI Adapter for my PS2. i'm gonna try to get an Original Backwards Compatible PS3 from somewhere.

Do you ever think you could drop a tutorial on how to speed run the game?

Hmm... I could, but there's a lot of categories and a lot to cover. If I do it, I want to make it good. A speedrun tutorial has definitely been a video idea that I've always considered, but it will take some time to make. I want to do it, so I feel like it's more of a matter of "when". So yes, I think I'll eventually do some sort of tutorial. It may be one category per video... I'll have to figure that all out.

@@ceribralboy4468 there are some videos from him explaining various tricks and glitches! I speedrun the game when I have time (big emphasis on when- my most recent and only run on the leaderboard was almost two years ago- currently a college student :P)
But a lot of the tricks are easier than they look, most of them I was able to figure out how they’re done by just tinkering around in the game on my own. The only exception to this is the Rupert race soft lock, I still have never been able to get that one to work.
But if you want help figuring out any of the tricks I’d be happy to see what I can do!
