- Great run. Sub 18 should maybe be possible, but I think it would be quite ridiculous or difficult. I am satisfied with having this be my PB. All Challenges is a very tight category; each Challenge is like a sprint and there's not much room to improve anything anywhere. That being said, this IS a new PB by 43 seconds, mainly because my previous record wasn't too optimized.

Cool to see people still playing this game. I dug out my gamecube a few days ago and started playing this again. Forgot how fun it was

I just noticed that this game was made in 2002. Assuming Max’s birthday is what the license says, he is about 37 years old if the game takes place in 2002. If he is in highschool still during the time of this game the year would be between 1980-1984. It could also be between 1985-1990 assuming he is in college.
Something does not add up here.
The license says 1985, not 1965. It's kinda hard to tell, but yeah. Meaning when the game released he was 17, which makes sense with everything. In this year, he would be 35.

Would you say Vulture is overall the best car choice for this game? Or is it another? I've always chose Vulture myself. Fast, but also pretty balanced.
Vulture is one of the best, along with HW Prototype 12, if we’re talking about speedruns.
@@overdrive_srs Cool, thanks for the info. Also, when I was comparing stats, I think Jet Threat might also be a good choice since he's also very fast and actually has better grip and stunt than HW Prototype. And he's closer to the default window position in the vehicle select menu. Lastly, I think you should also take a look at Hot Wheels Stunt Track Challenge. It's a pretty fun game and basically no one speed runs it. The time to beat is 53:50:034. I think you can do it!
@@Ajz092 Jet Threat 3.0's info says it has good grip and stuff, but it's actually kinda difficult to control because it spins out a lot if you go fast and make a turn, etc. Also, the boost exploit that I do by mashing the boost button with Vulture doesn't work as well with Jet Threat 3.0, so Vulture manages to overall be the best choice. I have never played Stunt Track Challenge but it does actually interest me. Maybe I will at some point!
Are there many other people currently running this game or are you basically the only one? Also, your run was very good
Right now I'm really the only one. If you go to speedrun.com/hwvx, you'll see that many different people have done runs over the years, some better than others, but currently yeah I'm the only one. And thanks.
I wonder how your previous run saved 19 seconds on the final challenge. Am I missing something?
Honestly, I think the splits for All Challenges was just screwed up or something, because there’s no way to do that like 19 sec faster. So yeah, just splits being weird.

Also, just curious, how do I unlock the three cars that are locked that say Velocity X for the gameboy advance? I want to unlock them so I can feel like I truly unlocked everything. I play on gamecube so idk if that helps lol
You can turn on the Unlock all Cars Cheat and it will unlock them for the amount of time that the Cheat is turned on. But other than that, you'd have to link the GBA version to "legitimately" do it.
@@overdrive_srs Oh ok, I didn't think about the cheats. How do I link the gameboy game to the gamecube game, by using the gameboy game attatchment port thing on the bottom of the gamecube? Thanks for the advice!
@@rustbloodeclipse I know there's some sort of GBA link cable too, not sure how it works though. I don't have a GBA so I've never linked a GBA to a GameCube before though, so idk.

I have this on ps2.... No idea there were gba link cable unlocks.
Hey how i can download or buy velocity X on PC?
I plan on doing a video about it, nothing too difficult, but I want to do a tutorial so that people don't get the game from a site with viruses and so that they install it right. Could be up early next month or something.
Go to ebay, you can find almost *anything* on there. It's a nostalgic person's paradise.
