Battery life is terrible since iOS 17 released and it gets worse with each beta release
17.3 Was the worst for me on my 11 it went from 98 to 89 in less than a week
yeah this is no joke… like i got 100% capacity and it feels like it is 60%
iphone battery hasn’t been consistent since ever
Battery life has been poor since 17.4. Dropped 10% as well.
No joke. My iPad has been on 10% for like the last three days between charging and needing to use it 😩
I am having this keyboard lag on 17.4.1 with a 14 Pro. Don’t know if it is a continuation or something different.
Just updated my 15 and series 8.
Also my mom’s 14 and her series 8. Everything smooth so far. And yes I started noticing a lot of convenient details added since beta 3.

Hi Aaron, here in France (don’t know if it is the case all over the EU) the News widget disappeared from all Apple devices suddenly. And it is not anymore present in the widgets list.
I haven’t updated my 15 Pro Max still running 17.4 …it got used to my charging cycles my iPhone has been working like a fine wine 😊
I did the update 2 17.5 beta 4 and so far the battery is draining faster than 17.5 beta 3 and my iPhone 15 Pro Max is struggling 2 open apps
On beta 3, UA-cam videos seemed like they were dimming. It seems to have been fixed

I can’t answer calls with my AirPods Pro if they are connected with an iPhoneXS. It’s a known issue can you please report about it.
I'm on iOS 17.4.1 and the bug with notifications/alarm sound being quiet is caused by the Attention Aware features being turned on. Could it be that with the feature being turned on, iPhone thinks that when either notification or alarm goes off, you're looking at the screen and then proceeds to lower the volume.
With that turned off, all my notifications, alarm/timer, etc are working fine again 🤔

Hi Aaron. Not sure if you seeing a text bug where messages go green then blue a few times and may send a iMessage as green texts. Weird.
suddenly, in my shortcuts app on iphone, the menu list and open app on Apple TV actions have completely disappeared. it was also giving an error while trying to add it back. this got fixed with beta 4. my previous actions didn't come back, but i can now add them again. the same issues happen with apple watch. shortcuts as complications keep disappearing!
The wallpaper problem I have is that the shadows behind the name of the app on light color wallpaper.
The standby color mode has been locked for me in only one of the clocks for a while then all of the sudden I can only change 1 of them; ive been reporting it since iOS beta 2 or so... it even happens in stable,
But does it fix the Wi-Fi and cellular connection issues?!?!

Ooooh I thought that was only my iPhone 13 Pro Max, now I can’t play anymore, the overheating is sooooo bad playing war thunder mobile, cannot maintain 60fps anymore, charging is a nightmare and yeah I live in a place where is constant 30c even 35c temperature and yes I do not live in the US.
@@clone701 yes there is overheating when charging on iOS 17.4.1 and also it heats up quite fast when using regular apps and games. Battery drain also common problem with this update. I am waiting to see if iOS 17.5 fixes it!
Useful video Aaron! If Apple is going to fix the alarm bug in the clock app, it would be nice if they'd fix the clock timer sound bug as well. It's been there since the start of ios 17 and I know that besides myself, many other users have been experiencing this bug.
I’d like to know why it comes in at 6.49gb for me and I’m on the developer beta. Its weird.
After installing beta four, my hotspot sharing toggled on. I turn it off and it keeps toggling back on automatically. Apple tried to help. But after talking with the second person, and restating I was on beta, said I can't help you and report it to apple beta. So I'm stuck in that mode wasting more battery power on my 15 pro max

I am curious about something- how are you able to release these videos in as little as fove minutes after the update, do you keep some parts of the video prerecorded to save time or are you just extremely quick? ❤
No, I recorded this a couple hours after the update was out, edited it and then uploaded then after I had all the details.
Battery life so far seems way better on the new beta than beta 3.
my 15 pro max was not turned on until December 2023 while yours is September however I have 175 Charge cycles and my batt health is still @ 100. I use the "charge to 80%" feature. This is the healthiest an iPhone battery has ever been for me.. Kind of interesting to compare! Thank you for the otherwise super informative video. This latest beta seems promising on my iPhone 15 Pro Max. Performance definitely is on pair with 17.4.1 while the battery life feels a lot improved compared to it. Thanks for your videos Aaron, watching them weekly.

I wish they would make and auto start on the fitness app. It will stop automatically, but not restart automatically if you start running/cycling again unless you tap “restart”.

Hey what issue youre facing?
Hi Aaron, iOS 17.5 beta 4 on 15PM here. Still facing the standby bug as well as poor performance in the weather app. Animations stutter and VISIBLE Promotion refresh rate issues. I placed an iPhone XS running the same version and my 15 PM next to it. I opened weather app and chose a city where it was raining, so I could trigger the rain animated background. I filmed both of them in slowmotion and the XS had the smoothest animations. So that confirms that iPhone 15 Pro does still have some issues regarding ProMotion and/or weather app problems. Unfortunately, most people won’t notice the problem and will think that their devices are working fine, as normal. But this is not the case and Apple should be aware of this.

Anybody having a problem with the white bar at the bottom not fading like it’s supposed to if so how I fix and I don’t mean getting rid of it but returning it to normal
I have a lag issue, when typing a message, in iMessage. I had a text I was typing lock up so badly that I had to force close iMessage and then re-open it.
My phone app keeps using up my memory it’s now at 552 mb and I’ve deleted contacts and the memory keeps going up .

Great video Aaron! Just wish somebody could help me with UA-cam notifications. Have searched and searched with no help, I never get no alert tone notification when a new UA-cam video has been released. I have all my notification sounds on including the one for UA-cam but I've not got a notification sound for years. Is this typical can anybody help. I have to keep my Samsung s23 ultra close to give me an alert tone when a UA-cam video has been released, all other notifications work perfect I am using iPhone 12 pro with the latest iOS. Big thanks and keep up the great work
First make sure you’re not in a focus mode that is silencing the phone. Secondly, you need to have the phone off of mute then to be notified of a video you have to be subscribed to the channel and make sure you click on the bell icon and select how you want to be notified, also go into your iOS settings for notifications and make sure those are on on
@@zollotech thanks Aaron for replying. All you mentioned is done. 0 I do get notifications from FB, FB messenger, eBay,Amazon,local news & weather etc except UA-cam. I get the banner pop up but no sound and all sound notifications as far as UA-cam is turned on. Driving me up the wall because I don't get to see Staples UA-cam videos but I'm subscribe to till later. But thanks for responding to me, I keep up with everything you post when glance to see if I've got a new UA-cam video to watch

I have a 15 pro and "Home and Lock Screen" draining more battery than my old iPhones. I'm not using any widgets on the home screen or lock screen. Also use a solid black color as wallpaper and lock screen. iOS also has the latest version 14.4.1. 33 minutes on Screen and 12% consumed by "Home and Lock Screen". I checked few other 15 pros they consume only 3-4% for 30 minutes screen on time.

Background App Refresh - OFF

I must admit I started downloading the 17 betas at the beginning and it wasn’t the smoothest roll out in the world. I’m nervous that 18 will be just as rough of a launch. Hope not tho! My IPhone 12 Pro Max seems to work well on 17.4.1 so I’m not going to update for a while.
I’m running the TV OS beta on the latest Apple TV. My Apple TV has been freezing up lagging and everything lately. Maybe it’s the beta. I’m not sure. I don’t think I’m gonna install it on my iPhone or iPad anymore. I just don’t have the patience for it all the stupid Little annoying bugs you think after 17 versions you wouldn’t have very many of these anymore, but maybe I’m wrong
You really shouldn’t be running betas on daily devices that you rely on. They are often very unfinished.
My 15 pro is still 100% health at 207 cycles.. I’m on the new beta
I find the keyboard is very laggy too
The iPhone doesn't process anything in the background after install. Everything is happening during the installation. Otherwise its just idle and apps which are running.
That is not correct. While it does do the install in realtime, after that it then indexes everything all over again and has other processes it runs. Sometimes Apple has even changed the whole file system and put it back in the background. This happened prior to APFS being the main file system type and they did it without us knowing and then told us later. They do all sorts of things to test processes, apps and more.

Some people have experienced some sort of Battery Health virus thing on iOS 17.5 Beta 3 or something and alot have lost between to 1 to 3% Battery Health on iPhone 15 and 15 Pro's is that what happened to you that got to 98%?

Got also 172 cycles. I'm still at 100% pretty impressive
122 charge cycles down to 92% on 15 pro max
I have 244 Cycle Counts with still 100% maximum capacity on my 15 Pro Max.

It’s too soon to tell honestly. You have to give it a couple days because it’s going to do a lot of different things in the background.
