Even the engine sound is nostalgic
been on that bus NOE544R three times this year. oh the memories of a saturday morning going to town in worcester back in the late 70s and early 80s with my mom on the 34 then coming back on the 37.
Absolutely awesome sound reminds me of the Nationals Midland Red South had before they put Daf engines in some of them .

I grew up with those buses in the 70s & 80s as a kid. Going to town (Worcester) on one every weekend with my mom shopping (the 37 route). Had two uncles who drove them for midland red west for decades. Now i drive a bus everyday but i wish it was one of those even if its just once.

Used to take the X93 from Stourport to Worcester every day for about 5 years in the 1980's. These buses were the mainstay of the route.
The back of the busses then (the raised bit) was the smoking area ... but the whole bus stank of ciggies of anyone was smoking at the back.

Leyland National buses 🚌 are single deckers are still going strong 💪. The seats 💺💺💺💺💺 are leather. There are 2 passengers on board the bus 🚌. It is probably warm inside the bus 🚃. Leyland National single decker buses 🚌 were last in north Devon in June 2001. 😃😃😍😍👍👍
