Adam, your teaching is so refreshing and has totally inspired me, at 60 years old, to get back to my keyboard! Thanks for sharing your knowledge. Please keep putting the videos out there!!!
Brilliant Adam, thank you for the time you take to produce the visual, musical & pdf content. Fabulous. Ps, could you maybe do a JMJ Oxygen style video? Looking forward to your next content 😊
Oh wow! Thank-you so much. Your lessons are so well presented, concise, calm, full of really helpful tips. You are going to transform my playing on to another level. Yes, you're British too.
My favorite keyboard sound, pattern from Michael McDonald, Christopher Cross, Kenny Loggins, Pointer Sisters and all the great artists of the late 1970s to the 1980s. Thanks a million tons🎉🎉🎉
You deserve the growth Adam I love music but I'm not a musician. I often remind my Dad who tries to practice the guitar to listen for the rhythm in music he enjoys so that it's so familiar that he desires to stram in SYC with what he's hearing thus I'll encourage him to listen to THIS specific video since your examples make the point powerfully.
This really is gold - thanks so much for sharing - I'm neglecting my classical studies because I'm so excited to work on what you are presenting... and yeah, your channel is really blowing up - but well deserved, you are doing something different!
Great video as usual! Here's another video idea for you: I think it would actually be great if you could create at least 1 (probably more as it's quite a big topic) on usage and applications of chord extensions in pop/rock/R&B...I got inspired from your chord progression in this one.
Greetings Piano-King 👑 Tutorial is on Point 🎯 Up in this Here Joint 🏡 Omg! I'm so glad I found you! A Godsend!🙏 My Minister of Music Plays Praise & Worship with Jazz! He sounds like this! Another fanstastic lesson! I discovered your channel randomly some time ago and i've watched all of your video. Thank you so much for what you're doing. Greetings from Italy🇮🇹
Hi, Excellent instructional video! I clicked on the link a half-hour ago that you provided to receive the PDF you spoke of in this video, but have not yet receieved it.
The video is very good, thanks! Just an idea: Could you maybe create a video more on different ballad style rhythm patterns with a melody made up of chords / inversions and melody on top of those? What I mean by that is that you use chords as melody AND play single notes with finger 4/5 on top of the chords too - say you hit a chord on beat 1, then hold it (or at least the chord shell) and use finger 4/5 to play melodies on beats 2,3,4 as an example. Reason is that I still have difficulty with that...Hope I was able to explain it; if not let me know and I'll try to include a video to show you what I mean...
I actually play the accordion, but I apply piano techniques. Your videos are very well produced and the PDFs are greatly appreciated. Because of my vision, sometimes I can't tell what you're doing on the keyboard. The PDFs are essential.
I’m so glad you’re enjoying all the content Alan! And it’s great to hear that the lesson books are useful! Would love to hear some of these ideas on the accordion!! 🪗
Just started watching your videos. Wow, amazing teaching and great examples!I'm self taught by ear and your videos are going to help me play at church soon with more fullness and confidence.
Hey Adam, making a video today is really easy and there are tons of them on youtube, but your teaching skills are amazing and i love it. This lesson is actually really hard for my level on piano, but i try my best and hope there are a few lessons about slower rhythms also with syncopation in the future. So please keep going on your channel and your sympathetic aura. 😀 Greetings from Austria, Andy
Hi Andy! Thanks so much for your message - really glad you enjoyed the video! Will definitely do a video with some slower rhythms! Lots more content coming over the next few months so keep an eye out! Thanks for the support with the channel!
Someone that responds to the comments by making the videos people would like to see. Awesome. Thanks, man! ✊ P.S (Having watched the video) I was born in the late 60's and Grange Hill was on while I was at school, so your GH reference made me smile! Funny thing is, I went to school in South London but "The Grange Hill" I now call The Hill Street Blues!! 🤣🤣 Really good video, so much value and the free PDF is massively appreciated. Keep up the awesome work Adam, this is inspiring me to get back into keys playing after feeling jaded with both it and my lack of progress, so thanks for that! ☺
Really love your videos. Had a question referring to a previous video, "Don't Practice Scales" but could apply to any of the lessons. At what point do you recommend that someone move on to the next lesson. In that video would you say it's when you can play the exercise in all keys? Play in all keys at a certain tempo? Or something else? It's helpful to have a guideline for what is a general goal to achieve before moving on to another concept.
Hi! Good question! I wouldn't worry about doing everything in all keys necessarily, that's a lot to take on and I think it's better to get things secure in a couple of keys rather than all 12. Longer term we're looking at developing a course where you can get feedback on your playing as you go through the curriculum in the programme... so this might help you get an idea of what to work on and whether you should move on etc. This is coming further down the line! Thanks so much for your support with the channel!
Getting both hands to be independent of each other make most lessons like this impossible for beginners as myself. Waiting for the day someone solves this issue for beginners with simple lessons.😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Can i ask only one question. Why everyone teaching rhythm goes into crazy chords. Why can't you give simple chords Because we came here to learn rhythm so rhythm should be the first priority. Not some new chord progression and im saying this in a beginner perspective because I'm a beginner. Just take this as positive and if you feel something to say, you can and I'll take it positively. Anyways thank you for the tutorial 🎉❤
I am really trying to learn this rhythm. I am stuck understanding the Em 11 chord. E minor is E G B. The 7th is D, the 9th is F #. 11th is A. Why skip the F# in this chord?
Great question - as piano players you sometimes have to make a decision to omit notes in the chord. So here we took out the F#. A chord symbol is more there to be interpreted rather than a hard and fast rule. Hope that helps!
I would recommend downloading the PDF. Adam does a great job with that additional content and everything is explained in writing with musical notation that is very easy to follow.
Could I ask a massive favour? If you enjoyed this video, could you please hit the like button - it helps massively! Thank you!!
WHAT I BEEN LOOKIN' FOR - INSPIRATIONAL & MOTIVATING LESSON ....THANKS DAVID!

You deserve the growth Adam I love music but I'm not a musician. Good idea!

Another great classy lesson 👍🏻👍🏻👏

Thank you for making them! The feeling is mutual. Subscribed.
Rhythm is the reason I’m here. The five levels concept is perfect for me. Please keep doing more.

Do you show moving through chords for more soulful sound?
Hi, Excellent instructional video!

This video going to be my building blocks for my music journey after eight years of Play piano without musical sound.
Really great video! You really stimulate us

another expensive video
well done!

I’d love to watch a lesson on playing “superstition”. The funk rhythm is something I struggle with. Great channel..thanks
Great suggestion!

A brand new video has just dropped on the channel, which you might find useful! Particular in terms of finger independance!

Example #1 is the best 😅😅😅
Why does this sound like Kirk Franklin’s Love Theory
😂 just listened to that track! So true! It’s pretty much what I’m doing here! Great spot!
Exactly my thinking🤣
Just unsubscribed OTHER channels and made you the main one 🎉😮. 😊
😂 Thanks for the support!
Seems excessive and unnecessary but ok
I am really trying to learn this rhythm. I am stuck understanding the Em 11 chord. E minor is E G B. The 7th is D, the 9th is F #. 11th is A. Why skip the F# in this chord?

Very disappointed...every time your videos waste time, mostly useless 😡
