My beautiful niece at 2:30 mins in :( She was so pretty, Heart breaking her heart gave out at 40 years old and they could not restart it. I come here to see her beautiful face :( Richfofo that you for reposting this. My niece is next to the girl that is saying how tough she is,
Sorry for your loss.
💔😢
Your niece was absolutely strikingly beautiful. I am so sorry for ur loss.
Sorry .
So Sorry for your loss! She’s a beautiful girl!
Legend has it they're still waiting for Dave to pick up the phone.
Hello? Hello?
If Dave don't pick up the phone she gonna put him in the hospital...
Dave's not here
Dave had better pick up that damn phone before she puts him in the hospital.
Weird to wait next to a pay phone
Paddy Jay12 that’s all they had to communicate back then lol. We had beepers and pay phones
The memories of my childhood in wildwood. The WONDER of everything. From borrowing 5 dollars from my mom to go play ddr or play in the arcade and just SO HAPPY IN THAT MOMENT. met a girl that changed my life. Spent time with my family. LOVED eating pizza and hanging out at the waterpark. Going on the rides. staying out on the boardwalk with just my sister while our parents went back to the room and we met so many new friends. playing the games on the boardwalk like ring toss, hoping to win a frikkan GAME SYSTEM! that was CRAZY back then. Back in the day when everyone wasnt addicted to their phone or computer. I think its time to go back in time. Goodnight all i love you!!!!!
In 1994, I was 24 years old. My family went to Wildwood for vacation. That's where all of Philadelphia went on vacation. Will always love going down the shore⛱🌊especially Wildwood,NJ🎪🎢🎡🎠🚌
In 94 I was 22! 😝
"I'm probably gonna be wit her for the rest of da summa."
Jersey Love, y'all!
Followed by her saying that they might be together for the rest of their lives.
You know what's so great about this clip? It's different. I don't know just different. Some clips are the same or different but this clip is different.
Every night it's different
I just watched this clip, but I'm probably gonna watch it for the rest of the summer.
@@GuyWithTheThingOnTheTable😂😂
THIS is Cinema.
HAHA! Payphone rings...."Hello?......Dave....Dave!....DAVE!!! *mumbles* motherfucker..." That girl is a classy one.
and shouldnt she be in jail for murder for beating all those girls to death... lol
Kristina Avis me thinks she's a bullshitter.
Ahhhh one of those
I like the part at 3:39 when she literally confesses to a murder.
I know her, she’s no badass.
I lived in NJ in the early '90's and I'll tell you, everyone still dressed like it was the late 80's. So this is funny to watch.
1994 is not part of the early 90s tho
90-92 is the early 90s
It's scary to see just how much mobile phone technology has changed the dynamic of how people interact and socialize with one another. I grew up in the 80s and vividly remember the prominence of phone booths in public areas, but even back then people of all ages weren't too inclined to hang around them as much as people with smartphones today ponder over their own phones. It was usually people choosing a place and time to do it and then move onto something else, whereas now people are on their devices 75% of the time it seems.
Very true
did the girl at 3:40 just admit to manslaughter on camera?
Yes, yes she did
Ey yo, it’s self defense!
A few from NJ, but knowing Wildwood, most of these folks probably from NE Philadelphia.
I'm pretty sure those payphones are still there, right next to the Hot Spot by the beach entrance... So it's not that different.
They were next to the Douglass fudge pavilion (in other scenes like at 1:52 she is sitting on the railing in the pavilion). The phones are long gone now, but if you still find the exact location next the the pavilion, because the bolt holes that held the payphones up are still in the boards of the boardwalk. Also at 2:31 mark you can see the marbles platform behind the phones.
No way those pay phones have been gone and most of this footage is nowhere near a hotspot.
i live in south jersey and work in wildwood every summer and there are no payphones there anymore, they took them out 10 years ago.
The beach section this was filmed is opposite Douglass Fudge between the Pavillion and... a Hot Spot.
Where exactly is that location? Block number or East-West road name?@@adamv2
My people! God bless New Jersey.
I grew up in Wildwood in this time period
Yea it was nutts
Especially the philly girls
Walk down the street past the big rooming houses people would invite you for a beer
Bars closed at 5am
So did I, graduated WIldwood High School in 1994.
This video screams very late 80s/early 90s.
It A 80s video
This is about 92-93.
No shit Sherlock 🤣
This video made me laugh. I grew up in Ocean County, NJ. I was in high school from 1989-1993, so this is about my era. Seaside, Wildwood, and Pt. Pleasant were all pretty much the same. More Philly people in Wildwood though. They should do a "Where are they now?" Video. That would be interesting. 😄
Lots of Canadians to...
I met a Canadian girl one summer in Wildwood when I was probably no older than 13. At the time of writing this, I'm 42. Obviously, she was memorable. Any reason in particular that you know of that Wildwood, NJ would have attracted Canadians? Is it just a matter of traveling just far enough south to get a 'hot summer' experience, or is there more to it?
@@BlackAbe007
Best summers there. Every summer from 1969 through 2002. The 70’s we had a blast. Haven’t been back. Heard a lot has changed
This is really neat! I was 30 years old when this was filmed and my wife and I used to go here all the time and hang out on the boardwalk on all the weekends, from 1989 to 1995.
Damn. That would make you 70 now
@@JustinLodes I’m 58.
IRON RAILS AND PIPE DREAMS oh right. My bad. My math was a bit off lol
us new jersey people always had swag, even back in the day
HaHA! I lived down in Wildwood 1982-1996 and graduated down there this brings back memories! I worked at morey's pier for a couple summers and the memories I had growing up and working in Wildwood are priceless! Wildwood was CRAZY when i was in highschool 1992-96 especially on memorial day weekends. I'll never forget all the cars and millions of people flocking to Wildwood on memorial day weekend.
I worked at Morey's summer 1989❤
@Anglynn74 Yeah I'd say 92 at the latest. People still are still rockin the puff mullet. By 94 that trend stayed well below the mason dixon line.
1994...a lot of them still have 80's hair lol...
was there as a teenager 10 years ago. insanely overcrowded at summers peak but also good because u can REALLY enjoy yourself without limit
I want to know if Dave ever came to the phone!!!
I remember pay phones especially the ones with call back numbers... Now they're obsolete!
The thirst is real.
26 years ago! Wonder whatcha doing now!
Wishing you all the best on your illustrious and lucrative photography career. You're going to make some community college very proud.
lol nah i was in wildwood for my first time in 1995 and i can tell u this looks pretty accurate...the way they speak, their sense of humor, its outdated. and a bit naive...its lovely. even though with the thinking process of people today they might dislike this, its unfortunate if you werent a philly native and looked forward to spending your summers in wildwood in the 90's cuz shit was poppin man...ill always miss it
This is GOLD, baby! Gold! Bravo.
We need a followup - Where Are They Today.
Wildwood has really changed. I like how the hair and clothes changed over the years. I remember the clothes
The lady with the shoulder sleeves is bad ass
This is the most New Jersey video I've ever seen.
This one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen.
I never do this, but I ordered the DVD right away and it just arrived.
Can't wait to see the whole thing!
So, was the dvd worth it?
I go to Wildwood every summer for vacation with my family, and have done so since 2007. This will make my 4th straight year going there and my family loves it. I find it to be much nicer than Ocean City, MD.
"We're probably gonna be together for the rest of the summer."
Not longer than that though, she's crampin' my style.
It's different, every night it's different. Brilliant.
the one with the shoulderless blouse is hilarious - she managed to hospitalise someone after being blinded by mace. & she also managed to kill someone who stuck a gun in her back...LOL!
we all went to school with someone like that-everything was extreme. You had a headache, they had a suspected brain tumour; you had cramps, they needed a hysterectomy; you slapped someone, they murdered someone. RIGHT! The really dangerous girls were the ones that didn't brag much, they just went for you.
I know her, she’s full of shit. Just stuntin for the camera.
I so wish I could go back in time to New Jersey!!! That place is totally rad!!!
I was 17 years old in Brooklyn when this was filmed. I finally settled down being a crazy kid by then
John rambo u was always crazy
I always take off after Labor Day to hit up the Jersey seaboard. I do it because the rates are cheaper and things not so crowded. The weather & ocean temps are still great, so it's the best of both worlds. It may be the abyss, but it has a lot of nostalgia for me, plus I have friends there and we have great times.
The good old days of the boardwalk where you can win a candy bar or a pack of cigarettes
Wish I could definitely go back to them days I have a lot of great memories and meet a lot of great girls and a lot of great night on the boardwalk
I have fantasies - not those kind, head out the guttah! - but seriously, about going back thirty years to this time as a travelling DJ, and watching the looks on their faces when I drop "Bad Habits" from 2021 Ed Sheeran on 'em! Or some recent Dua Lipa
The Maya Angelou's of south jersey.
These people are now adults. Living amongst us. You can't tell by looking at them. But they're there nonetheless.
“I put some girl in the hospital. She was in a tank and shot at me. So I beat her up. She’s a ghost now. And the ghost is still at the hospital.”
Funniest comment ever!!!! :D Thanks for this!!!!!!
Can anyone tell me if wildwood is different? Is it the same or different every night...Can you meet new people; every night but, the real question is; Is it different? :)...Going there tomorrow with a buddy...Oggle some bikini's like we been doing for decades...~ sigh~ Wildwood is like a flash back to the 50's...If the 50's were filled with 3rd worlders and PR's from the Bronx and Brooklyn sporting tattoos and looking like they'll kill you...:)...Good times!
godbluffvdgg lol yeah
Depends on where you are overall wildwood isnt very nice as a whole but there is worse spots than others like north is definitely not by any means nice but it's worse than Crest which is probably the nicest part but still alot of crime in the whole city
@@Empty_Eeyore So sad to see it...AC is like a fuckin Zombie Apocalypse zone now...45 years ago, those parts of the shore were like little paradise's ..I have people in N. Wildwood, it still seems okay...
@@Empty_Eeyore wildwood is perfect shut your mouth
It's different. The same... but, different.
0:37 is that kenneth keith kallenbach from the stern show before he was Famous
sooooo much better times this makes me sad..
Good job! Added this one to my fascinatingvideo site
Dave got the hell outta dodge .
Does anybody else remember that one ride that used to be there? The one for kids, where they sit inside of a seal of something, and go around in a circle on water, and has a really tiny hill? Does anyone remember what it was called? lol. I remember going on it all the time, many years ago.
Wow! This is fucking classic! Old time captured!
Need some help, friends! ...Can anyone recognize exactly where along the boardwalk the payphones shown in this clip were? Block number, or East-West road name, or in comparison to something on the boardwalk still existing today (2024)?
What are those things behind the two girls at 2:31???
+Mike smith Telephones. Public telephones, Junior.
this is why i love living in new jersey
The girl in the black and white tube top used to work at Hooters in franklin mills. I think her name was Joanna
@caprisonne47 Apparently the homicide rate in Wildwood went thru the roof in the summer of 94. They went from 1 every few years to I think she mentioned 3 just in this teaser vid.
filmed in 92, released in 94
Dave had better pick up the god damn phone or she's going to beat him up.
That girl that had a fight her story was changing by the minute, first she was just in the hospital then she had died.
She’s full of crap that’s why.
If you watch the whole documentary, you'll see that in truth they were different stories... different girls. In all, I counted that she put at least three different girls in the hospital, and killed one. Thus... her credibility becomes much more believable.
I am the same age as these girls , used to go to Wildwood every summer from Toronto .. have very fond memories was there again in 2019 but its not the same …
So, I've heard other's say that Wildwood was popular among many Canadians. I remember meeting a Canadian girl one summer in Wildwood when I was probably no older than 13. At the time of writing this, I'm 42. Obviously, she was memorable. Any reason in particular that you know of that Wildwood, NJ would have attracted Canadians? Is it just a matter of traveling just far enough south to get a 'hot summer' experience, or is there more to it?
so amazing!! Thank you!
I worked there for 2 summers 1998 and 99, most of my pay went on booze and phone cards lol. I remember even then mobile phone technology still hadn't fully taken over and these type pay phones were in constant use. There were still cameras everywhere but only because people were recording their holiday. I had the ability to remember multipile phone numbers, codes, and extention numbers while quite drunk to phone home to Ireland lol. Not a chance I could do that now, Smart phones have changed everything.
I wish the rest of this was online. Haha...god damn.
Lots of despair in the interstices of this video. Somehow I prefer Wildwood in the off season, but then the emptiness merely takes on a different quality. Either way, we have a glimpse of the abyss here.
It's different...it's different every night...and every night it's different. You can stay together forever or it's different. And...whatever happens happens but it's different every night and you meet new people and it's the summer and...
Wow, you could actually call pay phones?
LOL this is pretty amazing.
yeah bro. newark representing
yep!
but teresa and jackie is from NJ and danielle, dina and caroline is from brooklyn,ny
3:15 - NORMAL teen interacting I missed out on around that time do to all the growing issues I experienced in the previous decade! 😟
Oh my God, this video made me laugh so hard. I mean, it's different. It's different than the other videos, you know? It's different.
And that's how people looked in '94? Wow, that's very different than how people look now. It doesn't look that bad, but it's different.
This was in Lana Del Rey's music video for Mountain Dew!!
i love the shore now but this hits different.
"Ya always got the check to cash" LOL!!
I'll never look at those "Check Into Cash" commercials the same way again.
I feel like I've met these people at some point in my stays at the Jersey shore.
I was born in this area but moved when I was a little kid. I graduated in '94 and this video freaks me out because who would I even be if we'd stayed in South Jersey? Not in a bad/good way, it's just that it's like a whole different world there.
@xxcjpxx What are you talking about? Video cameras existed in the 80's and before that. Camcorders were from the 90's. This video clearly says 1994.
"Dave...DAVE!"
"Yeah, what?"
"The phones for you"
"Who is it?
"It's that girl you met last night while we were filming for that documentary."
"Oh her...Can you tell her things are different now...better yet, can you beat her up for me?"
Could the blond who killed someone now be overweight and named Janice Bacalieri-Soprano?
lmao!
Yes
It's different.
@phillyguy95 Big hair was around until around the time this video was made. Kurt Kobain, then BAM, no more big hair. (Cept on TV news adults, etc)
I think the girl with the blue shirt is from Philly..
im from jersey. always lived there too. in texas now, and i must say, that Jersey has tons more to offer so far. if you go looking you will find it in new jersey. good and bad.
i hate when people say its the armpit of the US. have you ever been the San Bernardino Valley?
"It's different. You can stay fergether forever or it's different."
ahhhh its so cold her ein philly, which led me to pull up some wildwood vids to cheer me up:) i go there every summer and im counting the days til july!
This is GOLD Jerry Gold !
It's different every night, and different every night it is, because nights are different and every night is just like not every other night. Because different.
im dying laughing at this right now, this is freakin awesome
this is like a bakshi cartoon come to life, absolutley fantastic
Most of them are definitely Delco
is that Hayden Christiansen?
I can smell Wildwood from here! It smells like Philadelphia!!
I seriously need to purchase this movie. I want it so badly I can taste it.
That's older then ten years
Ago I see phone booths and I seen that same girl
In a 80 video this is Bullshit
surreal until I saw the year - 1994 -
Wildwood is really da bomb - like Blackpool, England, but right here in my home state of New Jersey!
