I just purchased a 2018 Chevy Explorer van about 2 weeks ago from a Chevrolet dealer and was impressed by the van's interior and the amenities that was done by Explorer Vans. The van has everything and more... But after watching this video, I have a new respect for the people who manufactured my van and absolutely love it. Thank you for your skills and hard work.
Explorer has been my favorite conversion van customizer of all time. They are total bad ass. So much so, a friend of mine had one in the 90's and he ended up being my ride for my ex's prom. When he rolled up with it to pick us up and he opened the van, everyone's mouth dropped. It made every limo look like a second class vehicle. And my boy dressed up in a black suit for me to fit the limo driver look. My ex was the talk of her school when it came to best ride. I can't wait to own my own Explorer van. Keep up what you guys are doing Explorer. You guys are number one.
Explorer van did our 2018 Mercedes Metris conversion, and it's absolutely beautiful. It's the perfect roadtrip vehicle for us, and fits in our garage! These guys are wonderful to work with. And we felt the pricing was very fair. Thank you!
Had a 2005 GMC with the Explorer Limited SE package. Most comfortable cruising vehicle ever. I had a small 400 watt inverter as well as a 48 quart Coleman 12 volt cooler for it. Mine had a 27 inch screen with a DVD & VCR with surround sound. Let you kids bring their blankets & pillows, don't let them eat or drink for the first 2 hours. After that a 4 hour gas & bathroom stop and back out on the road for comfortable cruising. Can't say enough good things about it.
Ryan Shaffer sold me a 2006 Conversion Van from the late Lemay auto in Kenosha WI. I have a 1500 AWD GMC where I customized it to have all bucket seats to be able to be removed. It can still be used to hall something if necessary. It comes in handy when the van gets older and need it to haul things. It's still going strong today. From my experience and learning about my van in all these years of owning this conversion van is that the door hinges that swing out tend to rust and hard to open if not used continuously. The large tires cause the tie rods to wear quickly which Ii replace 3 sets since owning the van. The thin wall tires look good but hard to keep clean and rides hard. I purchased a set of winter tires which ended up staying on the van which gave it a better ride when traveling. The thin wall tires kept leaking air from our terrible roads and I needed service over four times to fix the flat. Plus the cost of just one tire was over 300 dollars. Getting at the spare tire can not be done safely on your own when the tires are flat. Because of the fiberglass surround, I needed a tow truck to lift the van high enough in order to get the clearance needed to get the tire out from underneath the van. The interior still is in great shape and weathered well all these years. All that was added from Explorer had no issues. I am glad to see a 4x4 and 2500 versions available. The suspension on the 1500 AWD was not equipped well enough in towing a small camper over the years and to safely travel the mountains in Colorado. The Van sat low which caused a variety of problems from the fiberglass surround. I did not get the high top because it does not fit in most car structures/garage and you are left out on the street to park. With the large TV, it is a magnet for people breaking into your van and added coverage with insurance. Traveling with the van was nice and kept the kids spaced out and with the removable seats in the back allowed me to have plenty of room for luggage and storage. A wall plug in the back would be ideal to add an electric cooler. Overall great vans.
love my 2004 gmc savana explorer se conv, can't be any better. leather everywhere, nice chairs, good comfort for sleeping in the van (in summer). My decals are falling of, thats a bummer, but it's an old van.
I have another question, why you guys didn't upgrade the Rotors and Brakes to compensate for the extra added to the vehicle? Because I purchased my Conversion Van with 23 driving miles then needed new Rotors and Brakes at 10k miles. The dealership Mechanic stated, the Van Rotors and Breaks should have been upgraded.
Is it possible to get a 9 passenger length van with only 7 seats? Additionally, to have the couch move forward where the two extra seats would have been? Since I am a disabled veteran with a service dog, I will have the space behind the couch for his crate.

@@MoeMoe-nu7vt Its great on gas for being a Conversion Van with a 6.0 V8 Engine, much better than driving a Class B RV. I just wish you guys didn't installed equipment such as the TV, Navigation Radio system and DVD Player that are five years old in a 2019 Conversion Van.

Looking to purchase an explorer van used- if I ever have to fix anything conversion related, can I bring the van out to you guys to make sure it gets done right?
Hi I have a 2018 9 passenger, two tone, I've had a few problems since buying it brand new. One of the problems I have is the 20" wheels keep loosing air, the lights keep coming on, so the H2 is seepking out somewhere. started about 2 weeks after the purchase. The monitor in the dash says the psi should be at 36. I can't find anywhere in all the information from the dealership. Did Explorer consersions leave it out?. Do you know what the problem could be? I know this is a lot, but the dealership hasn't been too much of a help. They don't know how to find the color of the touch up paints. sorry if it's a bother, but I'm getting a little frustrating.

I am looking at buying a New GMC Cutaway Van with an 17 Foot Aerocell Unicell Van Body. How would I go about getting your company dress up the front cab of this van? Would it be through the dealer when I order it or after I take possession from GM with the Unicell body on it?
Do you guys do replacement parts? For instance some of my hydro dipped parts are now cracking or broke, can the center console be updated to the Blu ray player and such, updated TV ect. ?

Great video, even though it is already 4 years old. I do not know if you guys from Explorer Conversions are still listening. I just bought a 2013 Chevy 7 Passenger High Top Explorer Van Conversion with 41000 miles. This van has been in Southern California all its life. The paint (silver) on the top is flaking off. Since one can not park these vans in a regular garage one can blame the California sun for this. Interestingly, though, all other paint surfaces of the van are fine. It’s only the roof that you guys painted. However, what disappoints more, is the fact that the seat upholstery and also the trims at the bottom of the windows show extreme flaking. What is going on here with this leather? I realize that I am complaining about a 9-year old vehicle, but where is the quality you are claiming in your presentation about?
