Thank You for your honesty in your videos, even when you make a mistake, you don’t edit it out😊 Thank you for being so REAL, instead of using 5-7 people “Lights, Camera, Action” BS on other recovery channels. I watch you because of You! Plus ok some Grumpy, Nate, Riley😊 Your Honesty, integrity, your expertise, your knowledge and explanations and you are funny as heck!😂 Keep up the great videos and stay safe out there! ❤️🙏
Casey to the rescue. Good job overall. Everybody went home. No injuries, no vehicle damage. Casey demonstrates repeatedly how important being well prepared is. I just got my new 12k badlands winch. Feels really good knowing I have another tool for self recovery, or helping others in need. Have a great day Casey! Be safe out there. God bless you.
Casey nothing gets your goat. As a 30 yr truck driver, I have to admit how easy it is to get off the path backing up in snow at night. One nice thing with a 53 ft box, as long as you don't sink your drives, you'll probably yank it out.
You take any non track vehicle into to deep rutted snow you absolutely got to assume you are gonna get stuck eventually. Wonderful job Casey…like always a pleasure to watch
Hey Casey it happens to the best of us but everybody got out with no harm and no damage so that still makes this a awesome recovery. I sure do love your system for airing up your tires. Keep up the awesome job and as always be safe 👍
Love your work. Its not something we see a lot off d o wn here in Australia. The bush and getting stuck yes but not in snow. Great work yet again. Thankyou
That is a cool setup for airing up your tires equally. Really enjoyed this journey. No one is immune to the slide off or getting stuck in snow covered ice. You are pretty freaking awesome Casey. Peace.
Cool set-up for airing your tires back up. You are staying on track with showing us recoveries and explaining them, and showing us the repairs of stuff that gets broken in the process. Some folks who have recovery YT channels have gone overboard with the family stuff and the recovery culture stuff. I like families and culture groups, but I watch for what you are sticking to. You do a tiny bit of other stuff with wife, daughter, grumpy, & Austin, and I like that, because it's... a tiny bit. Keep doing what you're doing, and thank you. If I sound grumpy it's because I'm stuck in an airplane factory in Everett WA and won't be able to escape for some time.
You seem to get the best and nicest people who find themselves in a bad spot. That lady in the Subaru sounded just tickled at the compliment and not at all dismayed at the minor delay. It's always nice to work with people with a positive attitude.
Casey I really enjoyed this video look on the bright side you getting stuck is why people should always stay in the tracks. I knew you would have no problem getting out there isn't anything you can't handle in my opinion. Keep up the great work
Casey, we so enjoy your being human when in a recovery, glad to watch your channel !!! --- makes my day in a terrible propagandized world, I'm smiling when I watch your Chanel, you need a camera person, :)
Good ole Road 40! One of my favorites. I used to use it to go to Bend every time. A couple of years ago I winched a boatload of people out of that little dip at Road 4240 where the snow stays later than everywhere else.
Yes everybody is safe so all is good! I noticed at the time of filming that your right side head lamp on the truck was dim. Not sure if you have fixed that yet, normally that is a sign of a bad ground wire connection.. Thanks Casey and thumbs UP to you, have an awesome day! 👍🌅
That tire inflator is genius. Thanks for the warning about the scam. I only gave my number and no other information. I got no response. I was skeptical.
i feel the same way about the red turd as you do about your truck. i love and only own 4x4's but i had a king ranch that was a 2 wd in great shape. so i bought a 4x4 that suppose to have a bad engine and rear end and planed on using it to turn my king ranch into a 4x4. long story short i got it cleaned up running good fixed the E brake and the A/C worked so i just started driving it. and 13 years later i'm still driving it. and all it needs is a new front seat.
I did the same the last time I went out to rescue someone stuck in the snow. I ran a strap from the rock slider on my truck to a stump and winched forward which pulled it back up onto the road. Same conditions. Went from mud to 2' of snow in about 50 yards.
Like your dual tire inflation system - nice setup! I, too, am driving a car that I love to drive, even though it's now 14 years old with 200K+ miles on it. I know part of the reason I like driving it is that I like its looks, it handles well, and has a reasonable amount of power to do what I need, and is a good road car, important in California, Land of Freeways. It's also a land of farm roads, back roads, and mountain roads, which this car also does well on. Good rescue, even if you did go off the road!
Hello from a flatlander up in Manitoba, Canada. Love the low drama attitude and straightforward approach. Snow always fascinates me with how many different behaviours it can have depending on temperature etc it can be really deceiving.
Great job Casey. Sometimes the best made plans develop a kink. Enjoy watching your videos, always great content and beautiful scenery. Stay safe and GOD bless
Don't sweat it Casey...you could have edited the part where you ditched the truck but you are man enough to show that it can happen to the best of the best...!!!! Just out of curiosity, how much will you charge yourself for pulling yourself out...!!!! Just kidding, I couldn't help myself...!!!! Keep up the great work and I admire your honesty and work ethics...!!!!
Having been on both ends of that kind of recovery, I have generally turned off my headlights when I am going backwards. I think it helps people to where they are going if their headlights are. I miss the NW a bunch.
I understand liking the old truck and not knowing why. My favorite of all of my trucks was my 99 Dodge 2500, I had two of them and really liked them both. I had one for 13 years and would still have it but when it started to nickel and dime me, I let it go. I wish I would have just kept them both and fixed them.
Man.. I absolutely love that all you guys are running Harbor Freight wenches these days. Honestly I'd say 80% of their tools and equipment is amazing. I'll even take their hurricane line of drills over dewalt or craftsman. Their Pittsburg line of tools isn't the best, but ya know... it got me through a clutch replacement on the side of the road 2000 miles from home once. Granted I did break most of the ratchets in the set, it still got my through.
Great recovery as usual!! if its only a bit of hurt pride compared to damage from sliding off the road, thats still a success. Just a 2 for 1 recovery job is all, keep up the awesome work
Man I want to come there and meet you and get you to show me around that area so bad because it is gorgeous my wife and I was so so love to go somewhere like that and see the sights up in the mountains
Two things you need. Gooder lights on the back of that truck. A bowling ball with an eyebolt stuck through it. Use the bowling ball to maintain some tension on the line when reeling it back in.
Admire your channel Casey. Looking at your tires in this one I honestly think that a set of old fashioned Firestone or BFG's or their equal in the same size as you are running in the Mud and Snow pattern would serve you better . Just a thought from down here in Australia.
Thank you for another view of the life of an offroad recovery expert (well, except for the part where you got stuck, lol). Nice video and good content. Later!
Really glad it all worked out. I know you are tired though. That is a really good setup to reinflate your tires. I actually meant to ask you about that a few videos ago and forgot. I was wondering if you used one of the small air compressors that you plug into your vehicle. I know from experience that those take forever to do the job on just one tire. Can’t imagine for all four tires. I’m glad you showed how you do that. Thank you. Stay safe and God Bless
47 years ago I cleverly slid my 72 Power Wagon with chains on all 4 tires off a patch of ice and over a 50 foot snow covered embankment sideways into a small creek. The Dodge did not have a winch. It was near dark and I was 3 miles past the gate on a fire road in the Colorado Roosevelt National forest on a Sunday evening and it was getting dark. So I started walking. A half hour into my walk of shame I was overjoyed to meet a guy from a Jeep club tooling up the same road, and he had a winch. He hooked to a tree and dragged the Power Wagon sideways up the bank and back onto the road. I took back all the insults I had been entertaining about Jeepers going out on a weekend in the National forest to see how totally they could get stuck and then spending the rest of the afternoon getting their buddies out of the muck. By the way one of the most dangerous times to be operating a heavy tracked vehicle is on a sloped patch of ice. They can slide sideways like they are on ice skates.
Casey, nice recovery, but when you are driving at night, I believe it would be good for us (viewers) if you turn on your fog light, high beam or any additional off road light, we can see where you are driving. Same principal when you wlak out of your truck and the camera light is NOT enough... a Head Light/Flashlight would also help us see where you are going or doing... Just my two cents... / Thank you
@@CaseyLaDelle I hate to make comparisons, but since Matt added those under body lights and also the additional light they have with the camera on, made a world of difference... once again, my two cents, from a viewer point of view...
I have to agree w/ you I have a 2008 Ram 1500 lifted truck on 37’s I get 11ish miles to the gallon and love it. It has almost 42,0000 miles on it original engine & tranny. And it is gas.
You did not lose this one it just got a little complicated when you had to winch yourself out. It happens to the best of them. Maybe someone needs to leave a message with Google Maps to warn people that road is only good to drive on from May to September maybe October!
I chuckled at the "pretty simple" part. Paul at Fab Rats keeps saying things will take xyz amount of time, in my group that would earn a smack upside the head for jinxing us.
I wonder if you had hooked the rope to the passenger side of your truck, if it would have kept you in the ruts. Also I like your air up system. Similar to mine, very functional
Love the setup you use to air up your tires, looks like simple and works well. Couple questions tho, is the CO2 tank filled with co2? or just regular compressed air? Also, how is it from a cost standpoint (up here in Vancouver B.C. a 20 lb tank like you have is close to $50 a fill with taxes etc...) is a tank good for many fills or are you basically done after 4 tires? .....Thanks.... btw.. keep up the content.. Love your channel :)
Good showcase of how capable the Subaru AWD is when clearance isn’t an issue.

That road is really scenic and heavily shaded in spots. When it's not covered with snow, watch out for deer and elk! Double tire air is genius 😊👍

That road even sounded sloppy. Happy everything came out okay.
The thing I like about the van is the pto and charge controller to run the winch. Yes I have a parking brake bypass if I need it.
Yep: weather is fun at this time of year. We had 60 degrees and all snow melted Tuesday, 30 degrees and four new inches of snow Wednesday morning.
