I have 3 Bridger #3 double long springs. Thanks for the tips. Into my 8th decade, I can't bend them to my will like you. I guess that's why God made C clamps. 🤠
@@cofieldcountryoutdoors4567That is the whole reason for night latch, to set by sound, NOT by sight. That setup you have will not meet that requirement.
Are there any tools to set these. I don't have the strength and I guess I don't weigh enough either. I have tried standing on both springs at the same time and they won't go down enough.
Why didn`t you just bend the frame back where the dog is wrapped around, like everyone else does? It is a lot faster and doesn`t deform the dog. I have never in all of my years, seen such an adjustment done like that. Now, I can`t say that anymore, although I wish I could.

Great job brother! Thank you very much for sharing!!
Thank you for watching, sir
Interesting way to do the dog. Thanks for sharing.
It really makes a crisp trigger. Especially on hooded pans. It works like a visual night latch.

Goodluck bud
Same to you sir
Great information thanks for sharing, best of luck this season
Much easier to file down the pan (how deep notch is) and then night latch it. I'd never tune a trap like this?

Well, sir, it works very well. I'm sorry if I've upset you, I'll be me. You be you.
They way you bend the dog make me think of a poormans nite latch for longsprings
It is a poor man's night latch works the same, but you use your eyes.
