Thankyou
That’s a nice box brother
Thankyou
What length barrel are you chootin
28in full
Nice! Congrats to your son! Did he shoot it, too? It is great that he is interested in trapping, too. Be proud of him! Will he have this coyote turned into a trophy? Mount, wall hanger? Thanks and best wishes to both of you for the coming trapping season!
Thanks
@@cofieldcountryoutdoors4567 And have you kept the pelt for a mount or trophy?
Naw we didn't shipped it off with everything else
@@cofieldcountryoutdoors4567 That´s a pity. It is good that your soon is so reasonable to understand that removing coyote itself is a benefitial act even though the animal is not directly used. But I hope he catches an animal that could give him a nice trophy next season!
Thanks for sharing
any specific rasp?
I use a flat mill file
What’s the egg shells added for ?
Filler and visual appeal
More please😊 good stuff I like your style
Thankyou
50 years ago in NY trapping on a dam was illegal. I believe it should be unless you're trapping a nuisance beaver. In the wild a beaver and its dam are beneficial.
I personally don't believe it should be illegal. Beaver dams can be beneficial, but whether you catch the animal at their damn or the den is irrelevant in my eyes. I do appreciate your comment and hope you continue to watch in the future. 😊
Couldn't agree more.. I've made this same decision not too long ago.. And with the 308 versatility in bullet selection it is really hard to beat.. the 243 is pretty much maxed out at 100gr and the 308 at can be hand loaded as low as 110gr but factoring ammo at 125gr and it's just getting started.. those Hornady Custom Lite SST in 125gr are very similar in recoil and have a edge ballistically on the 100gr 243.. So I myself also went with a 308 for my wife and my kids and just started them on the Hornady Custom Lites and they work perfect and it's something they can grow into and bump up bullet weights as they get more comfortable.. Great Video Thank you!
Thanks for watching, sir. 308 is an outstanding round.
Congrats to your son and some great catches.
Thank you for watching, sir
Great job! Thank you for sharing my friends! Never forget the first one!
Thanks he was excited
Congrats
Thanks 😊 he is happy
That is awesome. I know he will remember that one for the rest of his life. Great job, and congratulations!
I'm just glad he is finally getting interested in trapping. Thanks for watching sir good luck. 👍
ive got everything pulled to
I just started back today
Good day on the line!
Thankyou sir
Great job buddy!!
Thanks for watching
Man at least you’re having some good luck while pulling them. I do know how you feel, we got over a foot of snow on top of the traps….with temp below zero. Makes things a little slow for me on my trapline. Looked like a good check day for you though!
Yeah, I've been picking up a couple here and there. All the ponds are freezing over. I understand why people in colder climates beaver trap in the spring. I will put a line back out in a couple of days. I guess it's a good time to scrape a few. Thanks for watching. Good luck, sir.
I appreciate you making this video. I bought my son his first hunting rifle today. I came across a really great deal on a used .308 with scope. I had the intention to buy him a 6.5 or a .243. I was a bit worried driving home that i made a wrong purchase until i just watched your video. This Savage Axis .308 does have a spacer that i can take down to fit him better. I really appreciate you making this video. I feel a ton better, about my purchase!
Great!!! I'm glad I could help with the reassurance.

😁
Man, that looks like a great day. Looks like some time in the fur shed lol
Not to bad. The fur shed is kicking my butt. I told myself I'm gonna scrape everything as I caught it this year. Well, the freezer is full, lol. Thanks for watching, sir.
great catches brother
Thankyou sir
Solid advice! Guy definitely knows his way around the squirrel woods...
Thankyou sir
Nice Beaver!
Thanks 👍 good luck sir
CCI standard velocity for head shots only. .22 remington subsonic hp if you got em or can find them. I never use high velocity rimfire to hunt squirrels.
Like you i use 4 5 6 size shot would rather have 4 or 5 but will use 6 but that's small as i go got 9 boxes of 12ga 6shot now couldn't get bigger shot 16 and 20ga the same hope find 4 or 5shot soon
4s and 5s knock them out for sure thanks for watching.
Thank you for sharing my friend!
Thanks for watching

Thankyou sir
Nice catch
Thankyou sir
Here in Kentucky we have drainage retention ponds in all the hollers they’re stripped the mountain tops of coal. Beavers find their way in them and they become instant bobcat attraction locations.
Yessir I agree. Even around bodies of water that don't have beaver, I use castor for lure at my cat sets. Thanks for the comment.
Cool catches buddy!
Thankyou sir
I'll tell you a secret not to get sprayed talk nice to the skunk
That's right it works most of the time.
Awesome brother
Thankyou sir

Nice catches! 5….That would be a limit for me in my area.
Oh wow, I wonder why
@@cofieldcountryoutdoors4567 not a lot of them around. Different areas of PA have higher limits
Consider that a blessing of sorts they can flat out destroy some property
Nice catches brother
