I don’t like the arcane familiar, so I went with improved arcane explosion dmg on each cast (procs from the arcane missiles talent benefit it); and arcane harmony node with the chance for missiles to gain an arcane charge. This turns the rotation into a scenario where you basically never have to cast arcane blast - which feels great 😂
Did they nerf the visuals of the arcane splinters? They were so visual and sparkly before and now don’t look as impressive. Now they just look like purple darts
Keep the Arcane goodness coming. I initially thought the talent changes and the pathing on the tree were going to be problematic but after watching this video those worries are gone. Glad the spec is still thumping even with having to miss out on a few really solid talents. Should open up plenty of viable and fun builds
fire was over performing so i can see why the nerfs happened , but seeing the patch notes was kinda brutal.. and fire wasn't really that good in pvp either so hopefully they get some compensation there
Just going to get the warlock treatment. It's clearly waaay overturned at this point. So it'll get nerfed and end up in a weird state Something about warlock feels awkward now. I havnt been able to put my finger on why. And demonology is legit trashcan Either way, all my testing has been on mage and warlock and I can say with certainty that mage is better in every single way
Yes, same for me - the class tree on warlock is still pretty Bad, aff + Demo tyrant still super rampy and every spec seems to miss smth important. On the other side mage is so much better in every aspect.
A little adjustment to fire??? They basically killed the spec before release….. yet they are buffing every other class lol come on blizz don’t force me to play arcane
What does trash dog matter? It’s all about single target boss damage. Current state of Live and hunters,locks,shadow priest, ref do 4x the damage I do on mass pulls
Before release? It is still 2 months until then and they just started with balancing... so stop crying about numbers when next week everything can be changed already
@@jasonroman578 It's not "all about single target boss damage." That's a weird hill to die on. Plenty of specs have amazing ST dps and still miss invites or get guild pressure to play specs or classes with viable cleave or AoE because actual raid (and especially mythic) environments have a bit of everything that needs to be taken into account. Fire is in an amazing place. They nerfed it and it's *still* being pushed forward as the premier spec for Mages at the moment.

I really like the mechanics, BUT the splinters looks like made of cotton candy. 😭 Can't believe blizzard missing another oportunit to give some lightning flavour to arcane. Make the splinters solid and sharp purple crystals with blue lightning around. Blue crystals and purple lightning for Frost. In the same way, Arcane Missiles/Blast/Explosion can just have some crackling energy when hit the target. But Arcane Barrage was the first missing opportunit to give a Arcane Lightning spell, call down purple/blue lightning bolts instead of spyrals bolts. Arcane mage energize the target, and gain arcane charges, until make them a conduit to finish with Arcane Barrage. Even Chrono Shift makes more sense with it, cause if a lightning strikes you, at least you will be dazed. 🥲

Arcane does twice the dmg of fire now :) granted arcane is overtuned and fire undertuned but lol
I have never played mage in any wow expansion ever but OMG is Arcane the most fun caster I’ve ever played on the beta right now. I can’t get enough 😂

changes are not buffs, the latest changes to arcane are not buffs.

Have you played it tho? It was doing quadruple the dmg of all other classes in mass dungeon aoe
