I think alot of P5's are technique specific, besides the Tequila Baccarac of course. But typically folks buying P5's aren't buying them to be "all around" rods. I've wanted to get a one ten stick, but they're almost impossible to find. I have an Orochi xx Jb.S, paired with an Aldebaren, which works nicely. Once there's some stock somewhere though, I'd like to grab a P5 1 10 sick.
I completely disagree, the dual action blanks bleed multipurpose. I am a person who buys rods for the technique. The megabass p5 lineup is not a lineup with a lot of one trick pony’s

I haven't been into Megabass for a real long time but managed to get a few P5's and a Destroyer Blackjack along with the Orochi xx JB special. I've been a pretty big Loomis fan to this point, but this year it's been all MB. Especially since I've dove head first into Big Baits. I'm usually technique specific with rods, but maybe I'll try mixing it up with those P5's. Thanks for the heads up on the One Ten stick...do you get much distance from that rod, since it's 6'5"..not that that's a deal breaker, I'd use it for close quarters accuracy if not, just curious?
I own that rod as well. Not my cup of tea. It’s still mint and just sits in my closet. I have switched to spinning for jerkbaits and have not looked back. I’ll give it another shot this winter. I owned the previous generation and got rid of it as well.

I find that the steez rods handle so much so well, they have great sensitivity, super parabolic and just has that magically feeling, everything when comparing to that doesn’t feel the same

It is a good jerkbait rod but i prefer the steez 6'9 ags rod more for jerkbait. And i do agree it is a great popper/ top water rod
The new steez universal light is sweet for jerkbaits. I just love how slow this blank is though
