Grew up in a very abusive home, both mentally and physically. The only time we got together as a family and shared our laughter was while watching her show. I don't think I would have made through my childhood without her. 🥰❤

What I respect most about her show was that she never competed with her co-stars. She understood that their success was her own success too, whoever was getting the biggest laughs. You can feel they were having a great time.

I study Epigenetic Aging and Bad mental Health, Anger, Depression, anxiety causes premature aging and shorter mortality. Happiness, calm REDUCE VERY little cortisol. Bad mental health releases to much cortisol and it shortened Telomeres and shortened life span. Japanese are famous for living over 100 years old due to Diet, Cadio Exercise, RESPECT of each other, and NO processed foods and no sugar!
It helps that she looks at the silver lining to everything. A very sweet woman.
She looks absolutely amazing for her age!

My mother would laugh so hard while watching the show, I was a child in bed listening to my usually depressed mother laugh for an hour. It taught me to use comedy with my mom to cheer her up. Comedy helps people, and Carol Burnett and the cast helped so many.

She is the Queen of T.V. and she made me tear up talking like she did. Because we all know there's an end and hers is a legend that will NEVER be taken over!!!! And the times were so much more simpler and slower than today!! In todays world time is flying because everything is instantaneous and now days if you are on tv, you are here one minute and gone the next, there's no lifeline to the entertainment business anymore, its quick and yer done. In a world of cynicism it’s wonderful to have a memory of growing up with a genuine heart of a very talented entertainer whose motivation was not egocentric. She just wanted everyone to be happy and have a laugh. It wasn’t about the fame or money . She understood life wasn’t easy and gave joy to all of us . We needed her then and it’s wonderful to know how much we always will . We love her because she loved us . There isn’t anything in life more important than that . Happy Birthday Carol .
My mother was ill when i was a kid and couldn't connect with me but we enjoyed watching CB together. She loved laughing at her. Deep respect for this lady. True icon

Lucille Ball passed away on Carol's birthday. Carol got the news that morning then flowers ordered by Lucille arrived later that day.

I have loved Carol since childhood.
I watched her on the Gary Moore Show and found her to be so funny I couldn't wait to see what she would do next. I was so glad when she had her own show and made history. Carol made us laugh at ourselves, not feel alone because we felt we were different but enjoyed bringing the 40s and 50s actresses who loved her. So she never hesitated to do things different and bring back what she admired from the old films. Thank God for her loyality to those actors/actresses which she enjoyed througout her life. Love her always. a huge fan- stay well and happy - Carol!

I LOVE Carol Burnett! I went through a very tough time in my life when I was in my late 20s, and her show was the ONLY thing that made me laugh during that time. She added some sunshine to my life once a week. I have always wanted to meet her in person, and thank her and give her a big hug! She has no idea what a difference that made in my life during that time. I am in my 70’s now and sadly, have never got to meet her in person.
Oh she must have a legion of fans who would dearly love to meet her in person and give her a heartfelt hug and kiss for all the joy and laughter she brought to their lives through rough times. She may never know how many she has helped this way.

I love Carol Burnett so much. I used to sneak out to the living room past my bedtime on Sunday night to watch the Carol Burnett Show. I'd get caught when my parents hear me laughing out loud at the sketches. I was so sorry to hear that Carrie died so young.

I was in elementary school when her last show aired. I remember being sad. I knew there would never be someone as lovable and talented as her. My best memories were when my mom and I would watch her show and laugh until we cried. When she was dying of cancer, I had turned the t.v. to a rerun episode of Carol Burnett. My mom could barely sit up but I heard her laugh at Carol. Mom has been gone ten years now. Miss her so much.
That’s a beautiful memory about your mom. ❤ I’m 60 years young. When I was growing up in Puerto Rico, a lot of the other kids I played with used to tell me that I looked like Carol Burnett. There’s no physical resemblance there. They were saying it because I’ve always loved to make faces and being silly and funny. I still do it now. I’d love to meet her someday. I remember watching her Gone with the Wind sketch when it first aired in 1976. It’s as funny now as it was then.

I was a child when I visited my grandparents and we would get a bowl of ice cream or a bowl of fruit and take it to the den and watch The Carol Burnett Show. What good memories of those times. When I see The Carol Burnett Show reruns it brings back some good memories.
