"The NeoTokyo level is heavily inspired by the movie Blade Runner. Most obviously, the flying police cars that hunt for the player are virtually identical to the police 'spinners' featured prominently in the film. The level features talking "cross now" pedestrian crossing signals similar to those heard in the movie, and the NeoTokyo music lifts sections from the Blade Runner's end title theme. Furthermore, the mission takes place in 2019, the year the movie is set." -From the Ts2 wiki
Did anyone else forget to get past the lasers when following the person at the beginning? I did. I would follow and keep my distance and then suddenly i would get "Failed" and once i closed the gap just enough, thats when i noticed the laser door i had get past
I really loved this stage and music; really reminded me of Blade Runner so much (was probably the point, and so many other people have already said that.) Such a good game. :D

And don't forget the Chicago mission in Perfect Dark - made by the same devs.
This is the only Timesplitter 2 Mission that I will be alive during the year it was set in.
both inspired by Akira and Blade Runner, this is a masterpiece among fans, even though the first objective is a pain in the arse.

Getting that Akira/Bladerunner vibe....
Whenever I hear this song... Ithink of Kazuma Kiryu
kyodai...
Yeah, oh god I know what you mean. I think that was Freakin' Krayola, following her at such a slow pace, one slip up and it's mission fail -.-.
Remake this game please
CROSS NOW!
Why is the song called neotokyo when the man singing is more mandrin?
There's also Arab singing. It's supposed to be a diverse metropolitan future, I guess.
Its an alternate timeline where the Japanese won WWII and established a "NeoTokyo" in Northeastern China.
