Timesplitters was life. Cortez practically raised me. The hours spent playing virus alone. Great memories. Just bought future perfect again just to try to get my sons to play it.
What we used to do is go into this level I made when I was a teenager in the level making creative mode. It was made up of long and connecting hallways, sometimes it would lead to doors, sometimes those doors were helpful, sometimes they would lead to death traps in the floor. And every light on every tile was changed to be the same color green as the person who had virus. You would put in the max amount of bots and you would all start in one big area that had six hallway entrances, and you would have to run. You can’t really tell who’s on fire until they’re up in your face, and there’s no guns in the level. So all you can do is keep running and try your best to avoid whoever is on fire. It was amazing, and super easy to make. If you still have the game you should try it
What other FPS allows you to have a gun battle in a 70's themed disco hall, with an anthropomorphic hand, a policewoman with abnormally large breasts, and a bear with a porter hat?
Shad Miles Cortez should've gone back in time over and over so the entire room would be filled with dancing Cortezes. Would've been epic. I mean he already did it several times during the game, what gives?
Timesplitters was easily one of the best FPS series ever created. I can't even start to explain all the amazing memories I've had with this game. Please God, bring this game back into to my life!

(UPDATE: Search for Phil Disco's Album "Disco Deluxe Vol. 1" The songs are "Hey DJ", "Rising to the Top", and "B-Flop". Not sure what song the last part is from, however) 2:34 is used in the Arthur episode "Buster the Lounge Lizard" when Buster's toy springs up to the ceiling and brings out a disco ball and "Through the Looking Glasses", when Arthur is imagining himself walking down the street with his new glasses getting compliments. Also in "Flaw and Order" when Arthur and Buster are playing a game similar to DDR, as well as "Strangers on a Train" when the flashback goes through the 1970's. Where did Graeme get these samples?
Mr. Ratburn and his new husband dance to that track at the end of "Mr. Ratburn and the Special Someone." I also like to think that with the photo of the Read parents disco-dancing in "Arthur's Eyes", they were dancing to that track, even though that episode was from the first season, well before that track was composed.

Yes we can all agree to the fact that timesplitters was a part of our early lifehood. It is just a amazing game which really never gets bored, even when playing it over and over. I remember playing this game on gamecube with friends. I was the duck character and would sit up in the dj station as "disco duck" while watching the continuous blood bath.
I remember playing the "Hold the Case" gamemode on this stage with a friend of mine and an entire team of hard AI bots and I ended up holding into the briefcase for a full hour and a half just running around the stage in circles and shooting everyone who got close. Good times man. Good times.

I thought TS 2 was the BEST FPS ever... Then I saw this game, in a glass case. I bought it on payday with a console to play it and a t.v. to play it on and was broke for 2 weeks...easily, the best FPS ever, no contest: This was early 2008.
5:09 onward is my favorite part, especially because it also sounds nearly identical to one of the disco modes in the original Eyetoy game for the PS2 as well. :)
To me, the best shooting area in the game. Loved being a DJ spinning the records & shooting everybody. Also, can't forget the rock band instrument area.
Dang! This is a mashup out of three different tracks. Never realized it until now. Funky Town by THomas Lewis King, Mojito Sounds Better by Megatrax and Jive Turkey by David Hilker.

XD np My brother made me think this came out before the others, somehow. I was so stupid back then.
Shad Miles
Lol. I seriously hope a part 4 comes out soon. But I only have one worry... what if it's not as fun as FP? :o
xtra prinny I worry about that all the time
best OST ending for one (if not) of the most ans best trilogy of FPS game ever made :D
Literally every map I used to make had this jam in it haha.
OMFG
I just remembered these games all had awesome challanges you could do that each could have easily been their own games.
The best parts are 2:50 and 5:30. So damn nostalgic. Those were some very innocent times, my friends - with some truly spectacular games.
I'm here after microsoft added timesplitters 2 & 3 via backwards compatibility
Same. I wonder if it'll be possible to find enough people for a System Link session
even in 2022 this game's fantastic music brings back good memories. Also in player-created levels.
Now in 2023
I remember playing this game on gamecube with friends.
Good times.
I still play this game occasionally. I got it randomly along with 20 other ps2 games like 15 years ago, and this one is still my all time favorite fps
there is nothing more depressing than trying to enjoy this game on my own, after sucking every last drop of happiness out of it... im just left with the bitter memory of some damn amazing times with my brothers :(
Played this as an adult in my 20's when my life was pretty shit. It cheered me up. It made me want to dance.
how old are u now
@@lumia_dayZ 42. Life is a more subtle kind of shit but not as bad as in my twenties
@@CBfrmcardiff aw thats so cute
cool part 2:04 - 2:19 BEST Part 2:20 - 2:50
best game of ps2.... the custom games are wonderfull i Love a lot ,Love challenges, Love story and I need a mapmaker again...... I never forgot you Ts3
my favorite song of timespliters
Man I was just reminiscing on this game....... I had to check some videos to read other peoples sentiments as well.... makes me feel warm inside.
I thought TS 2 was the BEST FPS ever...
Then I saw this game, in a glass case. I bought it on payday with a console to play it and
a t.v. to play it on and was broke for 2 weeks...easily, the best FPS ever, no contest: This was early 2008.
The clapping is too infectious! :D Must...boogie!
5:09 onward is my favorite part, especially because it also sounds nearly identical to one of the disco modes in the original Eyetoy game for the PS2 as well. :)
i signed!
this game rocks in everyway. Design,humor,gameplay,etc.... and disco music!!!
2:50 i love this part so much
To me, the best shooting area in the game. Loved being a DJ spinning the records & shooting everybody. Also, can't forget the rock band instrument area.
The best song in the -game- series, period.
One of my favorite tracks from the game, used to play it a lot growing up from time to time, fighting against the A.I. on Siberia. Crazy, stupid fun.
It's back
It's over
A small bit of this song just got featured in the Arthur episode "Mr Ratburn And The Special Someone".
Thank you, PBS and Free Radical Design
This song plays in the fourth episode of Rick & Morty! I couldn't believe when I heard it!
no way which part?
Harrotte Right at the end, when the alien voiced by David Cross is celebrating his _victory_ over Rick
how have I never noticed this
Don't harsh out dude (spaceman)!! .. Time to Split. .. The humour in Future Perfect is what made it the best of the series in my opinion. :)
screw cod bf4.. bring this back for next gen consoles!
use an imulator LOL
On it!
I really miss this game. It was just so damn good. Really wish that I could go back in time to play this again with my cousins. Such good memories.
*Adults* : - What memories when I played Timesplitters 😢
*Children of today* : - THE FORTNITEEEE!! THE FORTNITEEE!! :V
Im 15 and timesplitters 2 was the first video game i ever played. Wish mire people my age could experience the great games of the past
Dont play timesplitters 1 is only ctf missions
thankfully i grew up with games like these on the gamecube
yeah i always notice his time splitters references but he hasnt ever made a full video on it and it makes me sad
@@ms_musicarchive same man. I'm just turned 15 and me and my bro would play timesplitters all day
it's past now......but will never forget it
Dang! This is a mashup out of three different tracks. Never realized it until now. Funky Town by THomas Lewis King, Mojito Sounds Better by Megatrax and Jive Turkey by David Hilker.
I remember me, my brothers and my cousin playing this game, every summer.
It was so much fun always playing as the monkey (with banana ofc ^^). Aswell as getting traumatised by the zombie deer.
What i'd give to go back to those times.
God what a good game
One of my favourite games on the PlayStation.
2019... still brings a smile to my face 👍🏻👍🏻
No matter what multiplier level I was playing, I made it this soundtrack.
They played this song on my favourite kids show Genie in the House whenever they had a party or disco and oh boy it brings back so many good childhood memories
Oh yeah jammin'
Yes sir!
Watching Cortez dance was the Perfect ending to this game. No pun intended.
You have great taste. - Kitten Celeste
timesplitters
an fps
where you can fight in a disco hall
with anything you can possibly think of being either your weapons or opponents
fucking love it
On a scale of 1-10 I give this FPS a 2401 lol. My all time favorite right here, FUCK a COD
If you agree UA-camrs
let's boogie to this groover
cause ain't no first person shooter
got a song quite like this soother, ya dig?
TS series - underrated and endearing cult classic.
CoD series - one disposable "epic" after another. (key word: *Disposable* )
Matt M watch my videos timesplitters
Word Matt M it's like Call of Downplay
Matt M Call of Duty objectives one: make the same game, two make sure everyone being shot is not American, three: America is always the best side, four: terrible multiplayer.
they should've quit with MW3, ... or Back ops 1
So many memories of playing multiplayer at the Disco with my friends, still remember "Labodomie" 😂
I think you mean 'lobotomy'
But yeah it was pretty cool how whenever you got a headshot the announcer would either say that or "Open head surgery!"
Anyone else loved to create pyramid shemed mazes in editor and played virus in it?
Me!! xD
I tried to make a Egypt maze...
Ah! Has been years since last time i played that games. I miss them . . . is the best crazy FPS of all
I have no idea what this game is. Or the story behind the song. I admit I came from Fortnite.
But this song is the best thing I've heard in a while. I've had it on loop forever. It's _that_ good.
It's probably one of the funnest FPS games ever made, imo.
Go and play it. This shooter series is one of the greatest you will ever experience.
U will need a emulater though
@@magicalCommander not if you have a gamecube, wii, or ps2 lying around. idk about xbox though
Definitely play this if you can, one of the best shooters ever 🙂
