The last real Green Day performance, they were a different band when they came back 15 months later. Slower, less angry, less passionate. Billie never played/attacked the guitar like that again. Fucking great band
thats called giving up the drugs, and even though their style was different, they were still energetic, passionate and shit like that, just in a different way. insomniac was meant to be angry and paced like they did it.

You're right. They played so fast and aggressive in 96', and you can clearly tell the difference watching even some of the best gigs from 97' and 98'.
