Same here. Fell madly in love with her the first time I saw her on Standup Spotlight. Cute as a bug and she mentioned the Replacements and my heart grew three sizes. And STILL so smart and funny.
@@Bdigi2012 is that ‘he’ comment supposed to be cute? I’m going to assume you meant to say ‘she’ & yes, she’s been doing stand up for nearly 40 years. Huge fan of hers. I’ll never forget back in 1997 getting on an elevator in a recording studio in NY and she was on it. As soon as I saw her, I just involuntarily yelled out “Janeane Garofalo!”. 😂 She was startled for a second at a 6’3” Black guy yelling her name while she’s all of 5’1”, then she said hi and I said I love your stuff and she said thank you. I wonder if she ever used this encounter in a bit? 😊
If I remember correctly, she rubbed a lot of higher ups the wrong way, which is totally her character. It’s funny because she’d probably thrive if she broke out today. Life is weird like that

She ROCKED in her moments in "Cable Guy". They didn't have streaming in 1991, much like the lack of eating utinsis in Medeviel Times. There IS Pepsi, though.
Seriously. She's so on point and expressive as hell. This is a master at work. Where people like Louis CK (god rest his soul) would be shouting and screaming in steady outrage at this point, she brings the energy up, and settles it down in perfect crescendos like a rollercoaster.
To be fair, it is used to catch them lying. Make removing them, charging them easier and faster. Sometime they don't made it out of custom, and get send back same day return flight.

Finally her voice has gotten lower again. For years I thought her voice got way to high pitched but now she sounds almost like how she was back in the 90's.
The last time I saw her, she spent 10 minutes talking about the as-seen-on-TV Jeaneez she had bought in the last city she performed in. Then she spent the next 20 minutes roaming amongst the audience, all five-foot-one of her, trying to tame her 50-foot mic cord.
The description below the vid says "Original airdate: January 22, 2010". So, no, it's a decade old. I loved this a lot but I'm kinda desperate for new stuff from her. Like someone else said above, I hope she has a great 2021.

You must like oily skin cuz she shines bright like a Diamond.

Love everything she does. No cheap shots or mocking others. Just pure gold.
Clearly you must haven't of watched it.. you quote "no mocking others," yet she tells young people to hate themselves
Multiple citations from Gil Scott Heron AND implying that we people born in 1989 are still young?
Favourite set ever.
This aired in 2010
This holds up so well
As someone born in '89, I feel the same way about kids born after 2000. Im always mind blown how they're adults now...
@ I'd take her out for a spin lol and I appreciated her Gil Scott-Heron joke that the crowd was obviously too young or too uninformed to understand
I was born in 2000 and I feel strange about people born in 2010 being almost done with middle school

I agree, 100%. I wish we were able to find more content, I miss being able to see her regularly.
Fun Fact: Janeane Garofalo was the original voice actress for Fiona in the movie "Shrek"
