nah stelvio isnt that good for example passo gardena nockalm strase or grossglockner are way better or even roads around Mariazzel are way better than stelvio. In my opinion Stelvio is the the worst passo i have ever ridden

Not sure if you are still alive while I am writing these sentences.... No doubt you are a very skilled motorrider but your performance is better shown on a race track... Sorry to say but I personally think that this kind of videos should not be shared on UA-cam... Others might think different, at least this is my view.

OMG took me back to 2005, took my brand new R1 there. Shredded our rear tyres in 7 days, mental trip. 15 years older now, don't think I've got the balls any more 🤣🤣

Stelvio has to be done, because it has to be done at least once, But for riding just take any other road around it or around the Merano, Bolzano, Trento to enjoy your bike!!!

Nice ride. In 2014 after having watched lots of Alps Riding vidoes I contacted a guy down there named Derpanzer Bau. I went there for a month from the UK and rode (& drank) with them. I learned so much and it made me a better, faster rider. Love the Alps. wish I could live close to there. France & Italy have way more respect for 2 wheels than the British. In the UK everyone has Island mentality. They all own their little piece of road. And I agree, Italians are crazy but we love them!

Btw I'm just 21 (yes i think that's young), and I've ridden R1,CBR1000RRR-SP, ZH2, Ducati Panigale V4, Daytona 675r, R6, Ninja ZX 10, ninja Zx6, Ninja 300, RE 350,Himalayan,650s, t100, and speed triple, i had owned a R1, but sold it for other reasons and investments, and got a cycle instead of the bike, and now i am looking forward to getting a Trident 660 , or the Triumph Speed triple, cuz even after riding all i have ridden, ( even been to track a few times) is that no matter what, 200hp is not needed , and all these bikes are great, these 200hp r1s , Panigales, e.t.c, are pretty useless from ergonomics, useless low end, in the street what i suggest is the street triple, or the speed triple . Cuz : Such a beautiful sound , the exhaust sound changes as the rev increases , from sophisticated in the low to the roaring in the high , Mechanically (a mechanical engineer here) , and as a bike enthusiast, 3 Cyls are the best when it comes to power delivery, low end torque + top end rush , and due to triumphs T-plane crankshaft (perfect secondary balance) this thing revs very high for a engine that size , and reaches redline quicker than any I4... I've plenty experience, owned an R1 (sold last year and got a cycle), r6, zx 10r, the busa, Zh2, RSV4, panigale, cbr 1000, and z900 , daytona 675, street triple 675RS, RE bikes,and what not , but i find three cyls the best among inline 4s and 2s (Vs are better ). (Except some radicals i4s ).

A good point about go pro at 0:58. I was actually looking and thinking same. My little drift ghost s is really struggling to deliver anything close in terms of quality, especially in tunnels, with opening in walls, where you have very dark and light appearing.
I enjoyed this ride very much (in real) on a Hayabusa.. She is long and heavy for these tight corners, but when your on a sport touring bike, you just can't have it all! Looking forward to this run again on a 1200 bandit this summer.
You really are a threat to all of those who think they are better because they got bigger bikes. I saw those bikers shrinking for every turn you kept hanging on their tale. You are a calm rider. And that 500 Honda seems to be on the same pulse. While the other bikes are screaming the Honda is newer “stressed”. It seems so balanced. I like that David vs Goliat “theme”.

Schaaf, you have no idea how lucky you are. These roads are AMAZING! Here in Perth, Western Australia, the roads are flat, straight and very boring (not to mention there aren't many roads here to explore). You not only ride amazing, twisty roads but look at that view! Wow! Please can you tell me, if I were to visit Italy, how much would it cost to hire a motorcycle? Do you know if tourists can buy motorcycles from the locals? I really want to go to this very road and explore this amazing country by motorcycle.
Schaaf I guessed it might have been a mobile speed camera, but I’ve never seen them, and was shocked at how small they might be. Thought they only were inside of vans
The one thing I really hated about riding in Italy was that its very common for cars and bikes cut the corners so you end up having to slam on brakes because some idiot is in your lane, scary as hell.
I can live with that since they don't complain when I ride a bit more 'enthusiastic' than I would do in Austria. I love the Italian mentality actually.
As I fellow Cb500 owner only us can understand keeping the motorcycle at those Rpms, peak power at those rpms making the bike quick in and out of corners. it surprises many people. I love mine even owning a superduke too.
I drove the stelvio this summer aswell. I ride a Honda Africa Twin, about 50-55HP, and i had to keep up with my mates. A BMW 1200GS 125HP, A ducati racer 140HP and a ducati multistrada with 160HP. For me it was a victory just to keep up.
Stelvio pass was mentioned in top dangerous roads video and I started searching for bike on-board videos. Found this and enjoyed your riding style and the exhaust.
You weren't kidding about the Tunnels !!! Especially near the end with all the Riders and the car oncoming through that tunnel section, WoW !!! U did well to keep up and still scrapping pegs, lol !!! Fun Ride & Share Schaaf, thx !!!

I am sure you are correct, but I you can get a Hero 3 or 4 for just 1/3 of Hero 5 price. Yet the quality is still great, as I can see.

I film at 60fps, with 1/120th shutter speed, going same or faster speeds but it doesn't feel so fast as in your videos.. How come
60 fps destroys the motion blur
@@Schaaf dammit. I had such thoughts in my mind as well, would I see difference if I move to 50fps? I also enjoy stabilization finally, but I guess it also takes a way some emotions
I like your "live and let live" attitude, I do that also when I ride my motorcycle, which program do you use to add captions to your video? I would also like to do this type of editing, thanks and subscribed ;)

Das kenne ich noch zu gut mit der Wegbeschreibung auf dem Trankrucksack. Und dann ist genau der eine Ort ausgeschildert für meine Richtung, den ich nicht aufgeschrieben habe. Mit Navi fahre ich heute Strecken, Nebensträßchen, die ich mit karte gemieden hätte, weil zu nervig zu finden.

Schaaf, you have no idea how lucky you are. These roads are AMAZING! Here in Perth, Western Australia, the roads are flat, straight and very boring (not to mention there aren't many roads here to explore). You not only ride amazing, twisty roads but look at that view! Wow!
Please can you tell me, if I were to visit Italy, how much would it cost to hire a motorcycle? Do you know if tourists can buy motorcycles from the locals? I really want to go to this very road and explore this amazing country by motorcycle.
you can rent motorcycles in most big cities. No idea about the costs though.

Schaaf I guessed it might have been a mobile speed camera, but I’ve never seen them, and was shocked at how small they might be. Thought they only were inside of vans
The one thing I really hated about riding in Italy was that its very common for cars and bikes cut the corners so you end up having to slam on brakes because some idiot is in your lane, scary as hell.
I can live with that since they don't complain when I ride a bit more 'enthusiastic' than I would do in Austria. I love the Italian mentality actually.

As I fellow Cb500 owner only us can understand keeping the motorcycle at those Rpms, peak power at those rpms making the bike quick in and out of corners. it surprises many people. I love mine even owning a superduke too.

it's just the disc and pads getting too hot. It's no high performance stuff ;)
I drove the stelvio this summer aswell. I ride a Honda Africa Twin, about 50-55HP, and i had to keep up with my mates. A BMW 1200GS 125HP, A ducati racer 140HP and a ducati multistrada with 160HP. For me it was a victory just to keep up.

huh thought that was a bigger bike something like a 900 or so :D But I would also take a light bike for a pass. Much less stress.
