IMPORTANT NOTE: As of the patch on April 3rd, 2023, the Chicken Racing exploit has been patched, making it a sub-optimal way to grind out money. You're better off either farming and selling ginseng or selling weapons and extraneous materials from grinding out the dungeon.
I found that to be the most effective way as well, plus you're knocking out two birds with one stone since you're going for materials on top of getting the money.
@@sexyninjagodking1909 Blessing can be gotten from the Divine Dragon Emblem. Purgatory, or War God Amulet. Sword Seal: Fierce Deity is from Murasame. Apparently you can also get the Blessing seal as a drop from 3-20 but I ran that dungeon so many times and never got one to drop. Had to get it from crafting.
@Smile of Bishamonten I wish I could get to that point but between a lack of Ryo and this tedious upgrade system ita gonna take much longer than it should
I want to thank you so much for your work with this. Having just now caught up with documenting the smithing/seals mechanics, I'll be sure to link directly to this video as a supplement, as you've done a great job here.
I really appreciate it, this is 100% one of those terrible mechanics that I struggled to figure out how to put into words to speak so I wish you luck in finding a way to phrase it in your text guide.
A year later and this is still probably the most important video ever made about an RGG game. Thank you, I'm almost done with the completion list and am never touching ishin kiwami again. I'm baffled they wasted money on a remake instead of a remaster just to make stuff like this worse. I hope a translation patch for the original can still happen.
Unfortunately, this guide is too late for me. I was one of the few who banged their heads against the RNG & got the platinum, pre March 16 update. Thank you for making this guide & helping others, so happy to see more people playing RGG games. :)
That's super unfortunate to hear, I was nearly in the same situation as all I needed to craft were the special weapons and the Amon sword. I grinded out all the seals as well in the process of getting footage for the video and the patch added the seal drops in the dungeon which was unfortunate (well, fortunate but I had spent a few hours getting them just hours before the patch dropped so it was essentially wasted time). I can't imagine getting all the seals without this knowledge, at that point it's just brute forcing. Thanks for the support!
I thought Yakuza 0 was bad for trophy/achievement completionists and then Kiwami ,then Kiwami 2 etc ....all the way to Yakuza like a dragon , diferent combat ,the grind is not going to be THAT bad i said .....oh boy the dungeon sewers ..... !!! and then ishin ....i have no words , they really hate completionists at this point.
As much as I live all of these games, I hate the completion process the most of any games I’ve ever played. They are insanely painful for no reason at all.
Thank you so much for the info! 🌞✨ I'm finally past 90% complete and almost half the seals. Can't believe the way they chose to go about this system, but I came this far already. Can't just give up now lol 😅
There is some more information that you might find interesting. You can actually get Bundle Blades for free from most street fights. In the Swordsman and Gunner trees, there are abilities that have a chance to disarm your opponent. If you manage to disarm them, you can go over to the sword on the ground and pick it up. For most enemies it'll be a Dull Bundle Blade, but you can get more advanced Elemental swords from sword-wielding Golden Sneaks (they'll still be Dull, though).
Yup! That's a useful way to get them if you're low on cash. I personally find it too tedious to disarm them and money is abundant through Chicken Racing and Dungeons (be it from doing the dungeons or selling equipment you get) and the weapons from Sneaks, like you said, are Dull quality so they aren't good. Definitely a decent source of money early game though, a Juzu-maru sells for around 5 ryo if I recall correctly. Thanks for the input!
Thank you. I took a break from the game for a bit and stumbled onto this video today. This'll definitely help when I come in handy when I return to it.
Thank you for this amazing guide! I was one of the people who got 100% close to launch so me and my friends had to suffer and figure all this stuff on our own. I am sure this will help a lot of people in the future.
Honestly, you probably saved me the frustration of even attempting this. I was on the fence, as I 100%ed the last two games I played (6 and LAD), but flat out saying "don't do this" is good enough for me to preserve my sanity. Maybe I'll come back to it at some point, but not now.
Thanks for this. I finished all the substories, Another Life, Buyo and almost all the friendships, currently stuck on Sensual Healing Asura - but now thanks to this video I can move on to another game because there's no way I'm getting 100% completion xD Love Ishin still tho!
I've platinumed every single Yakuza game that has a plat including the OG Ishin but this system was actually the thing that made me decide I'll get round to finishing it sometime later. Now here I am and this video is a godsend.
I wanted to make a seal guide from my own findings (based on Igni's too), but gave up halfway because of how hard it is to actually explain it, so kudos to you for actually putting it through. Also wth, the original had a cool minigame for it. It reminds me of Dragon Quest XI's forge system that's probably by far my favourite crafting system in all games I've played. Such a shame, truly...
Igni and I did a lot of work together on figuring this out, he had to brute force a lot of it though since he got an early copy and I got mine on the pre-order date. It took a while to figure out how to put it into words, but I'm glad it helped (wish I got some credit on the PowerPyx guide since they use some of my wording but whatever)
@@ItsAllstarBrose likewise, I preordered it so I could get my hands on it sooner, and if not for you two (especially Agni's google sheet), I'd have bruteforced it as well. I do find it fun to craft when you know how it works, but it's more grindy that it has any right to be (but I redid Judgment for my PS5 platinum and Ishin Kiwami's seal travesty is still less bad than the drone racing tbh.)
I'd rather do Drone Racing but I completely understand, it's one of the few things that makes me not love Judgment as much as the other games. The crafting system in Ishin is like one or two steps away from being an okay system, it almost feels like they want you to gradually build up your arsenal over time but with the focus on the dungeon for materials, it doesn't do it very well in my opinion. I feel they should have spread the materials out more or drastically lowered the amount needed for the system to feel better (the increase in drops as of the patch is an alright fix but it's a bandage to a self inflicted wound). I still feel they 100% should have kept the old seal system, so I don't think the way it is now could be recoverable other than maybe adding seals to the Shinto Priest's shop.
@@ItsAllstarBrose Yeah, honestly the grind is real for the materials, and redoing 1-1, 2-8 and 3-20 over and over for Sturdy Lumbers, Aquamarines and Dragon materials respectively (especially pre-1.04) was painful to say the least. While I understand the variety of weapons being a selling point, it is ultimately useless as the meta will be to use elemental weapons and gear with most free seals to be able to make the most of damage outputs, so it does feel dumb to have all these weapons that will go unused, especially the Last of the Dragons that ends up not being as good as Murasame/Okanehira. Also not gaining virtue while crafting is very annoying. I compare it to Drone Racing in the first Judgment because while getting the parts isn't as grindy, getting the time attacks require some RNG as well (the bystanders right at the turbo gates killed a lot of my runs.) Thankfully it got toned down in LJ.
I made a joke with my friend how I will not buy ishin Kiwami but holy hell I’m genuinely contemplating skipping it for real. I wasn’t necessarily the biggest fan of the original but I liked what I played. It was an ok novelty playthrough and it was a great stepping stone into learning how to obtain Japanese only games so it was special on that regard. Extra special for the fact I got on my birthday. I sincerely try not to skip any Yakuza entry if it’s within my power to avoid doing so, but this doesn’t seem worth it. I’m also not interested in gaming as I used so I think I’ll wind up waiting for a big sale or for it to come to game pass/ps extra, if that ever happens. Until then, I am more than happy just waiting for gaiden and Y8. Y7 Plat was immensely satisfying and got me excited for more.
Sure it improves on the material grinding, but other than the select seals they added to dungeons this entire system is mechanically identical and too complex and frustrating to be worth doing in my opinion. If seals worked like they did in the original, this would definitely be a lot more worth playing but as it stands, I agree with Yousef wholeheartedly.
Playing the catfight club in Yakuza 0 to get those achievements seems 100% more worth it than grinding this shit. Smh RGG strongest part is making excruciating RNG in your way to a platinum trophy
God, JCC is one of the worst trophies, up there with maxing out all Talismans in Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise. I think I'd definitely rather do either of those than this grind again. I'm really not a fan of all the super grindy achievements and completion metrics they added in after 5, I miss the simplicity of the Dead Souls and 4 plats. Thanks for watching, hope this video helped!
I’m still on the journey on getting the Blessing Seal. It’s the only seal I have left to obtain. Hopefully I get it because I had no luck on the seed method (over 2 hours) and the last dungeon is giving me more of the invitation hat and rouge mask than armor with seals.
It's a nightmare for sure. For whatever reason, Reversal and Fierce Deity treated me the same way. Took about 30 seed cycles to get each of them. You got this though! Just takes some persistence which you've already proven you have since you got this far.
@@ItsAllstarBrose I finally got it! Decided to keep crafting again for like an hour and a half, somehow I got it on a War God Amulet. That spreadsheet was really helpful. Now I can try crafting the rest of the equipment and finish up any remaining tasks to get the platinum trophy.
I'm playing on legendary difficulty on my first playthrough. I made it to the final chapter while struggling ALL THE WAY, I do pass poor damage while taking more than 600 damage. I ignored the blacksmithing because of the commitment I'd have to make. It's not fun.
It's definitely a struggle. What I'd recommend is just finding two easy to craft weapons that are really good. If highly recommend the Blade of the Shogun and the Vortex, the materials are easy to get from a few runs of the dungeon. Toss a gold pierce seal on both of them for that bonus armor damage (those are really easy and consistent to get from Stonecarvers) and you should be fine, anything else is extra. In terms of gear, a Purgatory with an Awakened seal is super useful since it means you won't get stunned a lot of the time. You definitely don't need to fully engage in this whole system to play through the game casually at least, but it can be super overwhelming to look at. Just look at the equipment one piece at a time and work from there and don't obsess over seals. With the increase in item drops as of the patch, they should be dropping relatively consistently.
You are a real one for doing making this video bro tysm! I do feel like the dungeon is the best way to get seals on top of that exp, items, money all that jazz, but damn man one thing for sure is the grind in this game is awful, but still a good game, once again thank you G big love :)
Everything would be a shit ton easier if we could get the inherent seals weapons possess when we disassemble them. I already wasted money and materials on the weapon, I want a return on my investment FFS.
Ooch, I can't imagine doing equipment completion without knowing how the system works. I feel you though, I had about 90% of crafting done when they released the patch
Thanks for the video! I literally learned that you can actually upgrade the quality of the attached seals and the game barely tells me anything of this. I'm doing platinum run and this is huge info for me. Also what's the absolute best seals combo you can get for strongest weapon? I see that for gun you just slap in gold Change of Heart, piercing and double shot up to max? what about sword?
Thanks for watching! It's quite unfortunate the game doesn't explain any of this on top of it being so complicated. Ishin's plat was already super time consuming so all these changes just add on to the time. For your pistol, either the Dragon Hawk (like in the video) or the Vortex works depending on what you value more between needing to apply fewer Double Shot seals or faster fire rate and sudden onset Fibromyalgia. The Pierce seal is near mandatory for pistols since it lets you damage armor much more efficiently. Other than that, yeah Double Shot and Change of Heart are super nice. For the sword, I recommend the Blade of the Shogun with (of course) Change of Heart at the very least. I personally have a Bewitched and an Elemental seal so I can heal for 20% of the damage I deal, effectively making my health near infinite (you could also apply those to your pistol if you want but it's not worth it in my opinion since the BotS has an innate Elemental seal). Other than that, it's up to you. Special Attack seals are nice to reduce heat usage on R2 attacks, Greed and Experience are solid for grinding, basically just don't apply more damage increases since damage caps out at 3000 for all weapons.
I tell you how I'm going to tackle this. For me is better to grind the dungeon, solely on three reasons. One, is that I can get a lot of things, second is that, I can rack up more experience points and third is that I can get more seals that way. My plan is to get enough experience, to go through the dungeon quickly.
@@ItsAllstarBroseupdate : I managed to farm 6 virtuous seals. This happened after I beat the last battle Dungeon level. I used the troop cards to finish off an enemy and Phoenix frenzy from wild dancer. The 2nd slot of my virtuous Hood had two engraved already. Had 49% of putting the third one in. It failed. How I got it to work was sealing the third slot 1st. Worked with 2. Then I added 2 more; one on top of the other. It was successful.
Update : since Saturday, I've managed to get 6 seals. 2 were from golden sneak and the rest from ruffians. I used greed seal for my odachi. I've only used the seeding method for 2 seals so far
FYI after some testing I discovered that the type of hammer doesn’t matter, what matters is the number of empty slots on the item you craft. I discovered this by crafting High Revolvers with silver hammers (1 empty slot) and Iron Grinders with iron hammers (1 empty slot). Both gave me the same result. However, when I used a blue High Revolver to craft an Iron Grinder with an iron hammer (2 empty slots), I got a different result. I was confused at first, so I did some more testing and that’s when I realised that the number of empty slots changes the seed rather than the type of hammer that is used.
thanks for this video, i started ishin like 3 days ago and oh my god seals are stupid especially sicne you cant check how to get seals, cant just pay for seals cant just remove seals you have to dismantle the weapon to get it and you dont even know how much certain seals stack
12:41 : I have few questions. If suppose I reload the game due to not getting seals and craft the Keen blade to reset the seed... 1) Do I need to save again after I craft the Keen blade? 2) If suppose I craft the keen blade and then my 3rd stonecraver has a seal, after reset will it come out on my third weapon or the 4th weapon due to keen blade?
1. Yes, you should save after crafting the new Keen Blade. Saving after crafting it means your new seed is locked in so you're no longer getting the same results from the old seed. 2. In that scenario, if you've saved after crafting the Keen Blade the third Stonecarver will have the seal. What you should do is save after crafting the second Stonecarver after the Keen Blade so you can farm that one weapon for different seals.
Other thing is that, I had a seal available after enhancing 4-5 times. Didn't get the seal I wanted, so I went to battle Dungeon. Got back to the blacksmith, the seed reseted.
Thankfully, all you need to do for completion is apply one of each seal. Unfortunately, some seals are still a real hassle to get your hands on. I've seen near unanimous frustration toward getting Bewitched, sphere Drunken Craze, both Special Moves, both On the Brink, Elements, and Durable. You've come this far, you can definitely do it!
@@ItsAllstarBrose it seems I have a few of those difficult to obtain ones from your list, so hopefully once I get my head around the system in your video I should be able to get the rest I’m missing. I’ve only obtained my seals through dropped items and was hoping I’d be lucky enough that way haha. You’re right though, I’m nearly there, can’t give up now!
I really wanted to go for 100% on Ishin. Now watching this video I no longer want the 100%. I love the Yakuza games but with a hectic life, 3 kids and hardly any playing time, I’m going to pass. Seems way to random and it’s a shame because this game is amazing
For the plat? Absolutely, just focus on getting them. There are some that are really easy to get like Pierce (the Stonecarver gets it a lot) that are really nice to have as a silver/gold on your pistols, but otherwise just focus on getting one of each and applying them for that completion metric.
I only focused on obtaining the seals and placing them once just for the completion list. The only seals that I bothered to get gold were EXP (not trooper but Ryoma's) and Greed.
Very informative video! I have a question: I've been hearing conflicting opinions regarding the usefulness of loading greed seals on weapons for farming items, and I've just gotten around to crafting my weapon. Do I add greed seals to it so that I get better drops, or just focus on maximizing damage? If the gains from greed seal is minimal I might just go for more damage
I'd focus on maximizing damage so you can run through dungeons as fast as possible. If you were playing before the patch, I'd recommend half Greed, half damage ups but the patch improved the amount of drops by a comical amount.
How many runs did it take for you to get the blessing seal on 3-20? Been contemplating wether should i keep trying to get it through crafting or should i just farm 3-20 instead. Note: i'm on my 15th seed state and yet to get blessing seal.... i genuinely hated this awful seal system lol.
I want to say it was about 30 runs for the super lucky run where I got both of the Blessing seals. I'd definitely recommend farming 3-20 over crafting since you'll be getting necessary crafting materials for crafting the later weapons, plus crafting requires RNG manipulation which is super frustrating. I'd recommend a card setup of either three Utaboris (the tattoo artist from 1/3) or Shinada (from 5) as the corporal and two Utaboris with a pistol (either the Vortex or Dragon Hawk) that has the Pierce seal. I definitely feel your frustrations, thanks for watching!
@@ItsAllstarBrose thank you for the recommendations! Yeah i think i'll try farming 3-20 more. Update: after some attempts on 3-20, i tried out getting blessing through crafting again. Finally got it today on my 5th seal state. Thank you so much for this guide!
I'd like to add something on the hammers. It doesn't matter what hammer you use rather what grade you upgrade your weapon to. For example I used a bronze hammer to upgrade a weapon from dull-grade to fine-grade then used another bronze hammer to upgrade a fine-grade weapon to a good-grade and got a seal. Then I reloaded the game, used a bronze again to upgrade from dull to fine and then used a silver hammer on a dull to good grade weapon and still got a seal.
@@ItsAllstarBrose After testing for a bit, by crafting every grade through multiple save scumming cycles, I've come to the conclusion that this is only partially true. Through my first 6th cycles I didn't get any seals but on my 7th I've got a Seal, but only with a specific hammer order. On my 8th cycle I've seem to get a guaranteed Seal, since I've gotten a Seal with a Fine, Good and Great Grade Weapon with the order of hammers being irrelevant.
Ok first of all thanks for the video! So for whatever reason I got all the seals but one: Sphere Seal: On the brink While I was lucky getting all the others after a lot of attempts and reloads, with this one I really struggle. The chart and also other guides say that you can get it from Spirit of Japan, Sakura Storm, Morning Gale and Cherry Blossom. Now the only problem is that none of these weapons have empty seal slots with the exeption of Morning Gale. So if I want that Seal in question I have literally no choice but to craft that one single weapon all over again? Or what am I missing here? Why are these weapons listed if they don't have an empty seal slot? Were these weapons changed over the last few patches?
I had a similar experience, On the Brink took me ages. Those weapons *can* have seals on them so long as you craft them as a higher quality. I believe a blue one should have one empty seal slot and a gold should have two. As stated in the video, you can improve the quality of the weapons by using hammers above Iron quality, so simply craft up the lines (two Silver Hammers will turn a weapon from white to blue to gold after upgrading) and you'll be able to farm those weapons for the seal as well.
Either chicken racing or koi-koi are the two best ways to make tags. Chicken racing gets you a ton but it's time consuming and incredibly luck based (I have a video on it explaining all the mechanics) and now that the exploit to guarantee a win is patched, you're gonna be doing a lot of save-scumming. Koi-koi just requires knowledge on what cards you need but the AI can be brutal sometimes. Thankfully if you quit out of koi-koi, you keep the tags you bet so you don't have to worry about losing. Cho-han can possibly get you good tags if you bet on the difference of 6 (if i recall correctly) and continuing to bet against the dealer, but it's a base 1/20 chance for those two dice and then repeated coin flips as to you doubling your tags. Regardless, getting tags is a frustrating grind no matter how you do it.
I crafted 40 stonecutters 3 times with different hammer types each time. Not one single seal on any of them. I think something may be wrong :(. I only have 6 left. edit: I was also resetting seeds ;-;
Personally, I would just recommend only using Iron Hammers when seed resetting with Stonecarvers since you never have to worry about which ones you're using if you just use one type. Seal RNG can be a real jerk sometimes though, the longest I went without getting one was 30 seed resets with five swords per reset. It's a tough, frustrating experience but you got this!
I'm not totally sure, I grinded Sneaks for three or four hours in the process of making the video and there were a lot of seals I never managed to get. Don't forget Change of Heart too, since that's only available from dropped Yoshiyukis and Black Ship's Banes (if I recall correctly) from the Battle Dungeon.
@@ItsAllstarBrose how many hours in total did it take you to get all the seals? It's the only thing I'm missing (well, that and still farming legit chickens to get around 1k ryo) for the completion. I expect to take a little less time since the drop rates were patched, but I also fear it'll be 20 hours of just that
@@EdoloChannel Sorry for the delay in responding! My estimate unfortunately probably isn't super useful since I spent a lot of time testing all this information, so it took me a good 20-30 hours overall. A friend of mine who recently did the grind took a couple of hours to get most of the seals but also took another four to only get Reversal, Durable, Blessing, and Sphere Drunken Craze. The RNG is really screwy so it's hard to give a real estimate unfortunately.
You can upgrade the quality of your equipment only when you're improving it into something new, so any weapons that can't be crafted further are stuck at whatever quality they're at.
I would assume that's a bug, which is unfortunate. It'd be nice to apply the seal on the Vortex pistol to any others for maximum fire rate like you could in the original release of Ishin. I do believe there's a mod on PC that let's you apply them but I believe they don't do anything.
You don't need Kiwami Hammers to make your equipment the Best quality (for most pieces of equipment). As I explain at 1:25, all the hammers past Iron increase the quality of the weapon, you can gradually increase the quality. For example, if you want to get a Best quality Dojigiri, you can use Bronze Hammers on each of the swords before it to increase the quality by one each time. Unfortunately, some pieces of equipment (like the swords with special circle moves, the two Wooden Gun paths, and all of the head gear you craft directly from the White Headband ) don't have enough items in that upgrade path to get to Best quality without using Kiwami hammers, so that's the one situation where you'd want to use those.
6:45 is the last dungeon the best way to get the blessing seal on ps5? I cant for the life of me get one, and its literally the last thing i need for 100% lol.
I personally found it to be the most effective way to get it. I think by the end of grinding out Dragon materials and getting footage for the video, I got around four pieces of gear with the seal on it. Unfortunately, as far as I know, the only other way to get it is through seal manipulation on the last breastplates in the upgrade tree.
The bewitched seal fails everytime I try to enhance a weapon with it. Does anyone know why? EDIT: found this on reddit, worked. 'I found a way to reset the seal failing that worked for me, have a weapon or accessory that has at least 2 empty slots and put any seals on them that have a 98% success rate. Save and then try the applying the seal again. If it fails, just apply 2 more seals onto a piece of equipment with 2 empty slots again. If you run out of seals to apply, then disassemble to get seals back. '
Yup, that's what I discuss around 8:50. Since you can't reset the enhancement seeding, you need to push the seed forward by using other seals. Unfortunately, you can't use other percentages (like that 98%) to aid in determining whether another percentage will succeed. Glad that Reddit post clarified it for you!
I think it's really cool that they Bothered to put a system like this into the Game but it's so complicated and The Game explains Nothing about it to the Player. I only started using it because I noticed Gear Made a pretty significant Difference. I don't know why they made getting Seals and putting them on weapons so time consuming. Sounds like the OG way it was handled was better. I'm just going to give up on improving my seals and finish the Game.
@@Kagetora- I would have preferred that Seals were more easily Transferable. I would have liked to Boost my item Drop Rate more so I didn't run Dungeons for hours and get so few weapons. That Drove me Nuts.
I'd have less issue with it if they explained anything about it, but at the same time I'm baffled as to why they changed the system from the original. The only thing I can think of is they wanted it to be more of a grind since the whole crafting system is generally more of a grind than the original when you factor in the money cost as well. The original way was way better and more satisfying since it's simplistic and the gamey aspect of applying seals was kinda fun. If you're not going for 100% completion, I would recommend doing what you're doing. No reason to spend hours on seals if you're not gonna get anything out of them.
@@ItsAllstarBrose This video helped me understand how to upgrade Seals. I had like 50 of the attack Plus ones so I just put those on my equipment instead of trying to get specific ones to get better items out of the Dungeons Because of the Seals Being Locked in I figure I really couldn't exploit the system like I really wanted to anyway.
Ansolutley fantastoc video! I honestly have to say though using manure to boost the plants in your house and just process and repeat sell makes a stupid amount of money WAAAAAAAAY faster than any other method. Just harvest loads and loads of crops by using manure, enter house, leave house, manure. Stick something on to watch. Start selling again.. and again... AND AGAIN. Spam that button and hustle keep sending Haruka you will have a stupid amount of money by the time you finish a simple youtube video let alone something longer than say 20 mins by using 0 attention.
It's definitely a great method of getting money, but since the game expects you to be grinding out the dungeon for materials, I personally find that to be the most efficient way to make money at this point. The weapons and gear that can drop sell for a pretty penny and give you some good virtue. The one thing I'll definitely say isn't worth it anymore though is Chicken Racing (fortunately) for both your and my reasons.
@@ItsAllstarBrose oh yeah that's a very good point! You do need to farm the Dungeons for materials I didn't really consider that!! You kind of HAVE to go through them anyway to stack those mats.
No, once you've used it you're unable to get another. The only other one you can get in your current playthrough is from collecting all memoirs and completing the Bacchus substories.
Thank you for the video, I learned a lot from this as far as how to go about upgrading my gear and getting seals. Would you happen to also have recommendations or more information on gear/seal setups or recommendations?
For your weapons, I'd recommend the Blade of the Shogun and either the Dragon Hawk or Vortex - Dragon Hawk if you want to apply fewer Double Shot seals and Vortex if you value faster fire rate and carpal tunnel. For seals, a Change of Heart seal on both and about 3.2 million virtue should max out their damage at 3000, at least one Pierce seal on your pistol so it can deal damage to armor is super useful, Bewitched and another Elemental seal on the BotS means it'll be healing for 20% of the damage dealt. Other than that, maybe just buffs to heat (particularly while drunk to maximize heat gain), Special Moves for reducing your R2 attack heat loss, and Experience or Greed seals for if you need those for grinding. For your gear, I'd recommend the Divine Dragon Emblem, Purgatory, and Violent Wind Gauntlets for the most empty seal slots possible. Obviously you want Blessed to max out defense at 2000 on each piece (I don't remember the virtue required but I'm guessing it should be around the same amount), at least one Awakened seal for the stun resist chance, Special Moves as I said before, Virtuous is nice for maxing out those virtue gains, and Experience again for more grinding. Basically, just ignore things that give you tiny buffs like flat attack or defense increases (not percentages), tiny resistances (all of the elemental resistances are basically useless), and the ones for buffing your cards (I think Corporal *could* be good, but it'd require a lot of them to make your corporals better). I personally don't recommend the low health ones since being at low health doesn't benefit you in this game, plus their buffs are overall marginal at best.
@@ItsAllstarBrose Thank you for the reply! I am still a bit lost with some of the game's systems and trying to find seals but you have helped me a lot!
@@ItsAllstarBrose I guess my next question would be if Golden Sneak farming would be more efficient or crafting the specific gear and hoping RNG will be on my side would be more efficient for a majority of these seals? Also how many of each seal can be stacked or is there a cap? For example am I able to stack multiple blessings on one armor piece or is one for each enough?
Golden Sneak farming is a pretty decent way to farm seals but it's not consistent, since they have a pretty big loot table. I'd definitely recommend it if you don't want to bother with RNG manipulation but as far as I know, you can't get every seal from them. I grinded a few hundred of them and off the top of my head I never got Reversal, Durable, Change of Heart, Blessing, Madness, Fierce Deity, and the sphere Special Moves seals. I very much could have been unlucky but without looking through the code I can't give a definitive answer on what they drop. In terms of stacking seals, anything that has a percentage chance like Double Shot, Reversal, and Awakened should be able to be maxed out at 100% so they're always in effect. All seal percentages are additive, so having two maxed out Elements seals means you're getting 150% extra elemental effects (since each give an extra 75% when gold, this one is effectively potent when combined with Bewitched). Blessing is another good example of it being additive, each seal stacks so you'll get an extra 400% virtue from praying with each gold seal applied. Combine this with multiple Virtuous seals to get some massive virtue gains from prayer (I'd still recommend selling hammers from chicken racing or weapons from the battle dungeon for virtue though).
I still don't understand how you got 3k damage on the sword and 1.3k on the pistol. I'm using the last phase of the fire element weapon (Okanehira) best grade and only has 1.2k damage. Not even one weapon on the smithing diagram goes above 1.3-1.4k damage. How do you achieve 3k?
I used the Repentance Seal a.k.a. "Change of Heart" which increases your damage based on the virtue you currently have. You only need a single Seal applied for 1% of your virtue to be added to your damage, so I have a metric ton of virtue from selling plates and weapons. It's incredibly useful and downright breaks the game but it has an immensely low chance of being slotted onto a weapon when crafted as well as from weapons dropped in the dungeon. I believe the spreadsheet in the description shows some weapons that have it but I don't remember.
@@ItsAllstarBrose oh I see now, but I didn't know it reflected on the weapons attack value. Thought it only showed on the damage pop ups when you struck a enemy. Thanks for the reply btw.
It worked as of the patch stated in the video, so if there have been more patches since I can't be certain. It's worth trying anyway since it's easy to do. Sometimes the sneaks won't spawn so I would recommend zoning out of the area by heading to somewhere like the Shinsengumi HQ or Ryoma's house, then returning to the farm spot to try again. Hope this helps, I'm a little rusty on Ishin since I haven't played it since I got the platinum trophy and I don't plan on playing it again.
I think it’s a cool system for an mmo or pve game like say monster hunter, I think that’s the type of system they tried, but since there’s no need to balance and multiplayer element it is tedious. I guess the main point was to prevent people from just cheezing the entire game with endgame weapons and unlocking all dojo moves in the highest difficulty but Idk, I’m barely in chapter 2 or 3 I think in my first play through, so far I don’t hate it but I guess completing the game 100% including weapons would be extremely difficult, good thing it’s not my focus. As miyamoto musashi said in dokkodo: never collect weapons beyond what is useful 😂
The only reason the game is as grindy as it is is because they want to keep players playing as long as possible. This is the first game in the series with such an immense grind so I feel it's inexcusable. You can easily cheese the game by putting a single Pierce seal on a decent pistol anyway, plus the vast majority of moves taught by trainers aren't particularly useful and/or are super deep into their respective skill trees. I can't see any justifiable reason for the game to waste the player's time like this, especially because the content within isn't engaging at all.
Hey man I have a question about upgrading the weapon I’m currently got the golden sword and golden gun but since they’re the lowest quality now can I like upgrade them to the best quality?
Unfortunately no, the only way to get a higher quality version of those two weapons is to get them to drop at a higher level on the specific Battle Dungeons where they can drop.
@@ItsAllstarBrose I see ok thanks man anyway can you recomended one seal it’s best for sword? I’m currently using the golden sword its default already had two seals but I need 2 more for suitable seals any recomended seals?
Change of Heart from the Yoshiyukis dropped in the dungeon stated in the video are the best for increasing your damage. Otherwise the Pierce seal is nice for the armor damage, Elemental is great for furthering the damage/effects of elemental innate seals on your weapons, and any heat related seals are useful due to heat gain being so bad in this game.
Hello, I am crafting many stone carvers but I had no seals at all during the crafting I am using the basic hammer, one slot is creating during the crafting but always empty (after more than 30 trys Am I doing in the wrong way ? Cause I am being desespered now … only 6 seals left and I don’t know how to get it
From information other people have come up with, it seems the type of hammer you use doesn't matter and instead it's the total slots you get from the hammers. An efficient way to get two slots would be to upgrade the Bundle Blade with Silver Hammers twice so your Stonecarver has two slots. You might try this but unfortunately there's no sure-fire way to get seals other than using this method or getting weapons from the Battle Dungeon that have them.
Indeed if I am going to the stonecarver using always silver hammer, I’ve had a seal !!! Thanks Only the square seal blessing and I have completed the game
I don't know what am I doing wrong... I make several weapons with silver hammers and, e.g. 8th has a seal. I load a game, make 7 weapons, and 8th doesn't have a seal... It looks all random to me, I dunno what to do and my frustration grows bigger and bigger.
I wish I could give you an exact answer as to how to fix your problem, but it's completely valid to be frustrated by everything. Here are a few potential clarifications, hopefully one will help you. 1. Are you loading directly before the weapon that should have a seal? If so, are you using the same hammer that you used to initially get the seal when manipulating the seed? I know I said in the video the hammer shouldn't matter but the system is super funky and can be inconsistent so that might be part of the problem. 2. Are you resetting the seed by crafting something without a seal slot? When you don't, the seed just continues on so you can't manipulate it. 3. Are you crafting something with an open slot? If the item you're crafting has an inherent spot (one with the seal locked in with pins) it can't get a new seal. I'm not sure if crafting these progresses the seed or makes a new one however, so if you're crafting these in the process of trying to manipulate the seed, I'd recommend doing what I said and crafting the line of Bundle Blade -> Keen Blade -> Stonecarver. I hope one of these potentially helps! If not, please comment again and I can try to help you out. If you do, it would be nice if you added more detail as to what you are doing so I can maybe tell you what you can change to fix it.
@@ItsAllstarBrose Okay, I clearly am missing something. If you can't get the new seal if the new sword has an inherent seal, what about that list of equipement and their seals? There are those swords listed with some seals, how that works if you can't get a new seal there?
In the description is a spreadsheet of a lot of the seals you can get from all equipment, so you can use that as a reference for finding the seals you want. In terms of seals on equipment you specifically *can't* get the inherent seal off, as they're specific to that piece of equipment. What can happen instead is if the equipment has an inherent seal like Pierce, Raging Flame, On the Brink, Reversal, etc, it has a chance to be slotted into one of the empty seal slots when you craft it. When a seal is in one of those open slots, you'll obtain it as a material when you disassemble the equipment. The complete list of seals you can get and apply/enhance on your gear is shown at 3:03.
@@ItsAllstarBrose Yeah, I got that part about inherent seals being unremovable. But maybe I'll use some more clear example. I save the game. I craft four Keen Blades with silver hammer and a fourth one has an additional seal. I load the game, craft three Keen Blades and, since I'm looking for Double Shot seal, as a fourth weapon I craft Quickfire (according to spreadsheet). That new slot (not the inherent one), made with silver hammer, is free. No seal appears there. I know I'm doing something wrong, I just don't know at which part.
@@ItsAllstarBrose Damnn, now it worked, I got Double Shot at the first attempt after that response in which I explained that I cannot get Double Shot. Murphy's Law at it's finest.
For a casual playthrough? It's not integral to the game above normal. You might want to do a little bit of crafting if you do normal or easy just for convenience's sake but the game gives you new equipment every chapter so you shouldn't need to struggle with all these crazy systems.
So if i want to get alot of virtue and use virtuous i need about 300 of that seal to make em all maxed at 30% how do i farm that and kiwami hammers are so rare how u meant to get max slots on something with them hammers being so rare
You don't need that many seals maxed out, filling out the slots on a headpiece with max slots is fine enough. You get more slots by improving the quality of the weapon through the hammers you use, as explained at 1:34. You only need a Kiwami Hammer if the item has one point of upgrade, like the Wooden Gun tree since the final weapons require enchantment instead of crafting.
Understandable. If you're just doing a casual playthrough, I'd recommend crafting one or two specific weapons and getting maybe a few seals on them. I'd highly recommend the Blade of the Shogun and the Vortex (or the Dragon Hawk but that one requires a few extra steps). You should also get a Pierce seal on your pistol to be able to damage armor, which are really easy to get through seed manipulating and crafting Stonecarvers.
@@ItsAllstarBrose is there a dungeon where pierce seal can drop? I have had a bad time with armored enemies using my gun also need another fast fire seal for vortex that I'm trying to craft. Need more mechanical parts and crystal
@@kerrynaruto Not as far as I know, hence me saying you should use seed manipulation to get it. Enemies can drop it as well, so you could alternatively grind out street battles and Golden Sneaks to try it if you're not wanting to use seed manipulation.
For the overall 100%? My playtime on Steam sits at 145 hours, but about 20 of those hours were probably spent idling as I edited the video. For figuring out all of these mechanics? Probably a good 30 or so hours on my own, with another 20 or so from some personal friends and god knows how long some I know with a review copy spent since he mostly brute forced it.
It's not particularly hard, it's one of the grindiest games in the series with little to no reward for doing the 100% (the only one that's worse is Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise). Between unsatisfying substories, boring minigames, tedious friendships, unrefined combat, and the second worst grind in an RGG game, there is very little to enjoy about the 100% process. I'd recommend 3, 4, 5, or Dead Souls if you want a fun, rewarding Yakuza 100%.
@@ItsAllstarBrose wholeheartedly agreed. I underestimated the completion process of 3-5 at first, thinking it’d be a mix of tedium and above average content like in 0, JE or LJ (or outright bad like in K1-2, 6 and LP’s case) but I was immensely satisfied with the game within a game I kept uncovering and how rich substories were. They really kept on giving and if more people invested in them, it’d be a lot easier to explain part of the real appeal of this series.
You do need to collect and apply at least one of every seal in the game, on top of crafting all weapons. Some seals are very frustrating to get as well (such as the Reversal seal) since from my experience, the only way to get them is through seed manipulation. The recent patch alleviated some of the harder to get ones like Greed, Experience, and the Square Special Weapon seals, but the vast majority of others took ages to get through seed manipulation. Off the top of my head, Reversal, Crush, Awakened, both "On the Brink"s, Madness, and Bewitched were a nightmare to get from my experience.
You're the MLG gamer here. I'm currently about to finish up almost all the other things that count towards 100 percent compilation. I just have to sit down and learn the god forsaken mahjong minigame. Last thing I gotta do before equipment. Any suggestions on what floors to grind for seals? Or is Blacksmith manipulation the way to fill out the seal list.
Check the spreadsheet in the description, any weapons that have Double Shot listed have the potential to have the seal when crafted/found in a Battle Dungeon. You can then dismantle it at the blacksmith and use the seal on a different pistol.
The spreadsheet in the description should have the weapons that can have it listed, just press control+F and type in Adamantine and you should see them. As far as I know, the Indestructible Truth pistol and the Kotetsu, Kiku Ichimonji, and Ujishige swords should be able to have them.
@ItsAllstarBrose Thank you so much for responding! Yeah, I've been crafting said weapons over and over actually, but the seals I keep getting are either madness, greed, and crush. Maybe I'm doing something wrong? Or perhaps I just need to keep crafting until eventually adamantine pops up?
You've just got some really bad luck unfortunately. One thing I might suggest is letting the seed progress *without* savescumming, I'm still not totally sure how seals work within groups but I noticed a pattern where certain pieces of equipment get the same seal every time I try for it so progressing the seed should stop that from happening.
@ItsAllstarBrose Thank you so much for your response! It just so happens that since making my initial post in this thread, I eventually managed to finally obtain the adamantine seal. I got it through scoring an indestructible truth pistol with an extra adamantine seal on it through a dungeon run. Yet now I'm having a hard time getting the antidote seal, lol. In the meantime, I'm just going to keep grinding. With enough patience, I should get it... eventually, lol.
I start to think that maybe I either missunderstand the system or it got patched out. Here is my basic way of trying: I load save with 5 keen blades crafted I craft additional keen blade to change the seed each time the seed that I get to is the one that places the seal on 4th weapon Each time the seal placed on Stonecarver/Missilecutter is "Mighty strike" while I want seal "pierce" I reload the save with 5 keen blades and restart the cycle According to guides it should create a new seed with different outcome however I always end up with the same.
Were you reloading the same save over and over or were you making a seal before each save? If you were, then all I can say is you got intensely bad luck because as far as I know none of this has been affected by any sort of patch or fix.
@@ItsAllstarBrose I'm just not getting any seals unlocked I even went to the barracks and got weapons with seals and made a new gun next to it and never unlocked like for example I get the iron grinder with armor piercing and I make reinforced warrior and it shows I got the armor piercing and another seal like fire and it doesn't show in the seal in equipment of completion list
Are you attempting to get the seals at the top of the list? As stated at 3:09 the top-most seals aren't transferable which is denoted by the pins keeping them in place. If not, are you simply not getting seals on your weapons or are you just repeatedly failing when attempting to apply the seals? If it's the latter it's just incredibly bad luck, at the worst I've got almost forty cycles without getting one.
@@ItsAllstarBrose I have obtained all weapons and armor and not one seal done. I have tried to transfer seal to another didn't work.i have made 100 of the same weapon not one seal
I'm gonna be honest, I think you're missing a step then because everything in this video is as accurate as we currently know. I have yet to see anyone else have the same issues so I would rewatch the video closely to make sure you understand everything.
No wonder this game has the most negative reviews in the whole Yakuza video game category...!! Every Yakuza game that I've seen are mostly just 5/5's and saw the reviews who are saying "Play this game now!!" until i saw Like A Dragon Ishin has the lowest score and i was wondering why...
I can agree if the grind is varied and satisfying at the end. If you haven't done the grinds for maxing out talismans in Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise or maxing out every character, job, and weapon in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, you might enjoy doing those too.
IMPORTANT NOTE: As of the patch on April 3rd, 2023, the Chicken Racing exploit has been patched, making it a sub-optimal way to grind out money. You're better off either farming and selling ginseng or selling weapons and extraneous materials from grinding out the dungeon.
Honestly, after it was patched, I just farmed 3-20 for the 20 ryo clear reward and selling the weapons/equipment you get from that dungeon.
I found that to be the most effective way as well, plus you're knocking out two birds with one stone since you're going for materials on top of getting the money.
Bro I just need one more seal, and it's the last one at the bottom of the list(blessing). Please, it's all I need
The legend CyricZ! Thanks for the GameFAQ guides man.
I really appreciate it, this is 100% one of those terrible mechanics that I struggled to figure out how to put into words to speak so I wish you luck in finding a way to phrase it in your text guide.
Two goats coexisting, love to see it 🫡
The man, the legend himself
Wtf this is Monster Hunter levels of weapon crafting I was not prepared for how complex this system is 😂. Thank you for breaking this down
A year later and this is still probably the most important video ever made about an RGG game.
Man this was insane that people were able to figure this out. I thank you and anyone else that figured this out in their own and sharing the findings
So. It's a grind, in a grind, in a grind...
Grindception.
This is absolutely stellar work, I have been banging my head against this system for weeks now 😬
There is some more information that you might find interesting.
Happy it helped! If something comes up that I didn't fully clarify in the video, feel free to ask about it and I can hopefully give you ananswer
Thank you for this amazing guide! I was one of the people who got 100% close to launch so me and my friends had to suffer and figure all this stuff on our own. I am sure this will help a lot of people in the future.
thanks to this video, i was finally able to obtain platinum for ishin. Keep up the great work!
Yeah, you should spend your time doing something actually fun instead. Glad you enjoyed the rest of the game!
I've platinumed every single Yakuza game that has a plat including the OG Ishin but this system was actually the thing that made me decide I'll get round to finishing it sometime later. Now here I am and this video is a godsend.
Great explanation. This will help all the poor souls that are going for this awful platinum
I am getting repetitive strain from grinding dungeons 👌
Wonderful editing, super informative and really easy to follow along with! Great video!
Y7 Plat was immensely satisfying and got me excited for more.
same, i’m gonna be skipping this one too
@@C2190 With patch 1.04 the grind to get everything is a lot easier and I mean night and day easier.
Dude thank you so much for this and specialy the google doc, thats so helpful, thank you so much kyodai
Thanks man for the guide it helped me a lot , i got all the seals
The ending rant convinced me to install those mods, I intended to get the platinum in a traditional way but it's not worth all that grind
Yeah, I didn't even know about the existence of most of those seals until now
Thank you for helping to explain the most cancer grind I’ve ever seen
@@ItsAllstarBrose
I finally got it! Decided to keep crafting again for like an hour and a half, somehow I got it on a War God Amulet. That spreadsheet was really helpful. Now I can try crafting the rest of the equipment and finish up any remaining tasks to get the platinum trophy.
@@Eric_Cartman1 Great to hear! That's definitely one of the biggest hurdles so you can knock this out nice and easy.
Good shit ik u been working on this for a while
Grinding in this game is such ridiculous, I'm gonna straight to story😢
Thank you so much man, this is gonna help a ton
Bro I was so unprepared for how ridiculous the seal system is
Everything would be a shit ton easier if we could get the inherent seals weapons possess when we disassemble them. I already wasted money and materials on the weapon, I want a return on my investment FFS.
Great vid. Wish I saw it before I got my plat so I could reset the seed…
Ooch, I can't imagine doing equipment completion without knowing how the system works. I feel you though, I had about 90% of crafting done when they released the patch
Awesome guide! What a mess of a system for newbies
Have 45 now. Was pissed because I couldn't get antidote nor blessings. Forgot about reverance, so I went to the battle ground and got it.
That's a solid plan, you're gonna need the materials anyway for the crafting process so you're knocking out multiple birds with one stone.
That completely makes sense, thank you for the testing!
10:41 how did you enhance that weapon dude it's hilarious how sodachi dies so fast lol
thanks for this video, i started ishin like 3 days ago and oh my god seals are stupid
especially sicne you cant check how to get seals,
cant just pay for seals
cant just remove seals you have to dismantle the weapon to get it
and you dont even know how much certain seals stack
All I have left to get plat is crafting 3 more swords and finding all seals, and holy shit I am too fucking dumb to be dealing with this seal hunt.
Great vid man. Question, is it more tolerable is you just focus on obtaining the seals and NOT try to upgrade them? You know, just for the plat.

Hi, I'm having trouble finding the sphere seal special moves. How do I get it in the seals glich? All she needs is to get the platinum.
You can look at the weapon spreadsheet in the description for which weapons are able to have that seal on it.
Yeah, I'll skip the grind on this one 😂
I'd like to add something on the hammers. It doesn't matter what hammer you use rather what grade you upgrade your weapon to. For example I used a bronze hammer to upgrade a weapon from dull-grade to fine-grade then used another bronze hammer to upgrade a fine-grade weapon to a good-grade and got a seal. Then I reloaded the game, used a bronze again to upgrade from dull to fine and then used a silver hammer on a dull to good grade weapon and still got a seal.
Interesting to know! Thanks for the tip!
So for whatever reason I got all the seals but one: Sphere Seal: On the brink
While I was lucky getting all the others after a lot of attempts and reloads, with this one I really struggle.
As stated in the video, you can improve the quality of the weapons by using hammers above Iron quality, so simply craft up the lines (two Silver Hammers will turn a weapon from white to blue to gold after upgrading) and you'll be able to farm those weapons for the seal as well.
oh wow that’s complicated now
Is there another way to get silver hammers aside from gambling den?
I believe you can get them rarely from pots or the Battle Dungeon, but there isn't a consistent way other than the Gambling Hall if I recall correctly
@@ItsAllstarBrose do you have any suggestions on farming the gambling hall
I can only enhance seals on weapons, not the weapons themselves
You can improve the quality of your equipment when you upgrade them through using non-Iron Hammers, as explained at 1:25
Thank you
I crafted 40 stonecutters 3 times with different hammer types each time.
Not one single seal on any of them.
I think something may be wrong :(. I only have 6 left.
edit: I was also resetting seeds ;-;
Yeah, the RNG is tough in this game
Personally, I would just recommend only using Iron Hammers when seed resetting with Stonecarvers since you never have to worry about which ones you're using if you just use one type. Seal RNG can be a real jerk sometimes though, the longest I went without getting one was 30 seed resets with five swords per reset. It's a tough, frustrating experience but you got this!
@@ItsAllstarBrose yea, I got it just now.
I was doing 5 with resets. Took me to 40 lol. Was terrible but I got it done.
thanks!
I have a question; expect for repentance, can I get every other seals by farming Golden sneaks?
Can someone please tell me where I can find the enchanted blacksmith
You can find him in Mukurogai (the small slum area), he's sitting down next to the shrine just north of Cannonball training.
You can upgrade the quality of your equipment only when you're improving it into something new, so any weapons that can't be crafted further are stuck at whatever quality they're at.
Do u have to put seals on a weapon for them to be put in vompletion list?
Yes, you need to apply at least one of every apply-able seal to equipment for it to be marked on the completion list.
I have exclusive seals in my inventory but can't use them
I would assume that's a bug, which is unfortunate. It'd be nice to apply the seal on the Vortex pistol to any others for maximum fire rate like you could in the original release of Ishin. I do believe there's a mod on PC that let's you apply them but I believe they don't do anything.
cool vid
How did you equip the 4th card?
Certain corporals will be able to have a third trooper slot, which should be listed on the card under Corporal Effects if I recall correctly
How did you get all gold gear? I only have two kiwami hammers for that
You don't need Kiwami Hammers to make your equipment the Best quality (for most pieces of equipment).
@@ItsAllstarBrose I really wish the game made this stuff more clear, I was stuck on a shit weapon this whole time
6:45 is the last dungeon the best way to get the blessing seal on ps5? I cant for the life of me get one, and its literally the last thing i need for 100% lol.
I personally found it to be the most effective way to get it. I think by the end of grinding out Dragon materials and getting footage for the video, I got around four pieces of gear with the seal on it. Unfortunately, as far as I know, the only other way to get it is through seal manipulation on the last breastplates in the upgrade tree.
@@ItsAllstarBrose grinded for like 5-6 hours to get dragon parts..... guess another 6 is underway 🤣
That's a good idea. You don't need to worry too much if you're not a trophy hunter. The grind is pretty insane in this game
The game throws a lot of those at you so I understand why, it's a big shame they don't explain anything at all about the system.
Have kiwami hammer after completing the dungeon. Can I get another it from bob ?
No, once you've used it you're unable to get another. The only other one you can get in your current playthrough is from collecting all memoirs and completing the Bacchus substories.
@@ItsAllstarBrose OK thanks
Happy to help! If you need further clarification feel free to ask here and hopefully I or someone else can help you.
Hi, does the golden sneak spawn work as of now with the taxi ?

Ok update I am now struggling to beat the first of the three dungeon boss and trying to get better weapons but it’s been hard ;(
The only reason the game is as grindy as it is is because they want to keep players playing as long as possible.
@@ItsAllstarBrose ok thanks man I have another question as well would you mind?
Go ahead and ask!
Hello,
I am crafting many stone carvers but I had no seals at all during the crafting
I am using the basic hammer, one slot is creating during the crafting but always empty (after more than 30 trys
Am I doing in the wrong way ?
Thanks
Only the square seal blessing and I have completed the game
How necessary is the crafting in this game? I really don't want to interact with such a bad crafting system
Very informative but. Idk if I have the patience for this process 😕
I just finished the equipment section on the completion list and it took me a while so it'll take some patience
......how many hours...?
For the overall 100%? My playtime on Steam sits at 145 hours, but about 20 of those hours were probably spent idling as I edited the video. For figuring out all of these mechanics? Probably a good 30 or so hours on my own, with another 20 or so from some personal friends and god knows how long some I know with a review copy spent since he mostly brute forced it.
@@ItsAllstarBrose I deeply thank you for you and your friends' sacrifice
@@ItsAllstarBrose I just got done with the completion list and it took me 146 hours
Someone telling me to not platinum it. I must ask why is it hard? Is it just the equipment crafting side of the 100 percent is what kills it?
It's not particularly hard, it's one of the grindiest games in the series with little to no reward for doing the 100% (the only one that's worse is Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise). Between unsatisfying substories, boring minigames, tedious friendships, unrefined combat, and the second worst grind in an RGG game, there is very little to enjoy about the 100% process. I'd recommend 3, 4, 5, or Dead Souls if you want a fun, rewarding Yakuza 100%.
Quick question do we need to collect all the seals for one hundred percent? Or just craft all the weapons.
Or is Blacksmith manipulation the way to fill out the seal list.
how to get gun steal Double shot
Check the spreadsheet in the description, any weapons that have Double Shot listed have the potential to have the seal when crafted/found in a Battle Dungeon. You can then dismantle it at the blacksmith and use the seal on a different pistol.
I'm sorry, I'm Spanish, that's why I'm talking to you via comment.
Would anyone be so kind as to inform me on how to obtain the adamantine seal? I'm having a really hard time getting that one. Thank you!
The spreadsheet in the description should have the weapons that can have it listed, just press control+F and type in Adamantine and you should see them. As far as I know, the Indestructible Truth pistol and the Kotetsu, Kiku Ichimonji,
and Ujishige swords should be able to have them.
Sorry for the delay, congrats though! You've got this in the bag if you've come so far already.
thank you for the wake up call to not keep grinding the game, it was getting so tiresome and boring
I start to think that maybe I either missunderstand the system or it got patched out. Here is my basic way of trying:
I load save with 5 keen blades crafted
I craft additional keen blade to change the seed
each time the seed that I get to is the one that places the seal on 4th weapon
Each time the seal placed on Stonecarver/Missilecutter is "Mighty strike" while I want seal "pierce"
I reload the save with 5 keen blades and restart the cycle
According to guides it should create a new seed with different outcome however I always end up with the same.
Tried this and never got any seals by making the same sword 10 times i got none of them at all
Were you reloading the same save over and over or were you making a seal before each save?
I have play yakuza gaiden
And that game is the most easy to grind money unlike this idiot game to make suffer the player
This is too much for my autistic brain lol
Love the game but I'm not doing any of that crap
I'm not gonna lie, yakuza ishin made me realise how dumb I am. I love grinding crap for hours on end
I can agree if the grind is varied and satisfying at the end. If you haven't done the grinds for maxing out talismans in Fist of the North Star: Lost Paradise or maxing out every character, job, and weapon in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, you might enjoy doing those too.
