I love the outfits
I started out a few years ago with a 30-piece capsule wardrobe. Over the course of time, I have pared it down to 14 pieces that I found I was wearing over and over, so I think 14 is my magic number.

Both dresses are great for casual and being able to use it as a dressed up look. It’s a beautiful wardrobe. I’m on a journey to cutdown my wardrobe tremendously. It’s been years of accumulation.

I know this is an older video but I wanted to watch it as I start to think about my spring summer wardrobe. I also love where it’s very hot (Central CA) and I pretty much live in skirts and dresses because they are coolest to wear. I love Boden dresses because they are knee length and I love their 100% cotton ones. I have a casual jersey dress like yours. My favorite might be the phoebe dress; I have it in three prints.
Yes! I love those Boden jersey dresses! I have looked all around and always come back to those. I will have more in my Spring and Summer wardrobe this year. They really are the best in hot weather! I will have to check out the Phoebe dresses!

I love this concept and am working to get down to this amount also. I thought your denim skirt was very flattering. I have a similar from Talbots that I wear also. The Boden dresses were also nice. I think you will enjoy being more minimal.

So you won't be including the cute denim skirt you were wearing in the video? I've always thought 10 item wardrobe is somewhat misleading. It is really just a capsule wardrobe. By the time you add in workout clothes, sweaters, t-shirts, tank tops, cardigans, swimwear, accessories, special occasion dresses, coats, jackets, shoes .... It still adds up. Personally, I think the "10" is kind of silly. The overall concept of keeping only items that you wear and keeping your wardrobe simple are great. I personally think taking a year off from shopping is what has really helped open my eyes to the excess that many of us have. Not shopping, Forces you to reevaluate your clothing, take better care of it, and maximize mixing and matching. You put together a very professional and lovely video.
You are right - it is a capsule wardrobe. The 10 items refers to the core pieces. I agree that the main idea is to be more intentional about your wardrobe, keeping it simple and minimal. This is just a method that gets you going in that direction. You brought up some great points! Thank you!
I feel like I need enough tops to get through a week, wash day to wash day, plus a couple extra in case I spill something. So, ten tops.

I have been wanting to do this forever but my problem is giving myself parameters and sticking to them. Like color for instance. I have actually submitted photos for an online color analysis that should return to me Monday. Here's hoping that helps me narrow it down.
