Art is about creating outstanding music with simple means. I like this way of playing much more than endless high-speed orgies. Brian's creativity has once again produced a wonderful and instructive piece.
i could lissen to brian pick that guitar alllll day .. this is what i like the most country twangeee is difficult but this brings a new Level of lessons ..thank you Brian... just lov-in this ..
Thank you Brian. Excellent stuff and excellent tutor! IMO, you never 'screw it up' Brian. You try as best you could in a difficult - to-explain situation. I always leave with great 'take-aways'. Warm regards. Profoundly grateful AS ALWAYS. PS:I'M loathe to resort to this but cannot resist a comment : those who complain about your style of tutoring, should simply not watch your channel, done and dusted! Also glad you do not dignify 'salty comments with a response.
Awesome lesson. I agree with everyone here. I learn so much by watching your videos. This is a great blues sound, that beginners like me can practice on. Thank you for breaking this down for us.
This looks like a blast. This a total " let your fingers dance!" composition. I gotta say, you come up with great stuff that sounds sophisticated but when you break it down it"s for an advanced intermediate ( or whatever I am ) like me, it's so simple but brilliant. You always have a great sound and great technique which I enjoy trying to emulate as I follow whatever you put out every as well as finding great stuff through in your back catologue. I always look forward to Fridays and what fun piece your going to come up with. Premium Membership is the best value for my money. Anyways, just wanted to share my appreciation for what you do. Sincerely, your tutorials are cool!
Many thanks Brian. Not my usual cup of tea.....but with your linkage to the the blues licks I can't wait to have a go. And perhaps you've changed my mind. Here in the UK we had the Shadows as well your Ventures and Duane Eddy.
Jack from Ohio , Something new out of 5 notes , I have played for years . This is a cool , driving and snappy riff , that's ready for take off. 10 9 8 7 .................
For the beginner: Would this be a good simple path? 1. How to Hold a Guitar - Parallel to your shoulders or at an angle. 2. Basic music theory - Musical Alphabet, Whole steps, Half steps, Sharps and Flats 3. What Chords can you play? Can't play? Strengths and weaknesses? 4. 24 Chords is all you need 5. 24 Chords in the Circle of Fifths, what chords sound good together. 6. Fret Board memorization skills, 4 to 5 frets at a time? 7. Left Pattern Practice - Finger walk patterns for every finger (4 fingers * 6 strings = 24 patterns) 8. Left Pattern Practice - Two chord on time changes, how to use metronomes and tempos. 9. Left Pattern Practice - Around the wheel, Circle of Fifths Chord Workout, two and three chord patterns 10. Musical Practice - Songs based on Previous lessons 11. Right Hand Patterns - Different Strokes for Songs based on Previous Lessons
Love that guitar! And the lesson, and your playing as always! Was actually just listening to some Rory Gallagher right before I saw this video posted, and it kinda gives me that same vibe (think "Crest of a Wave") Awesome music

How is this melody for putting everybody in a good mood in a live situation using a guitar. Beautiful.😀 I am adding this my list.

Very nice Brian, your teaching method is spot on.
I love that rhythm🎸🙂
Worth it just for that one blues lick if nothing else!
Another great lesson, loving the twang and some techniques I definitely needed to work on.
Who else watches the first part to hear him play as soon as the video drops
People with no life
Ah shucks....now that's real pretty one and something I can almost play right out of the box! Sweet!
