What do you think about this...A lot of people think LEDs are bad for you cause glaucoma & other health conditions... Will you stock up on incandescent lights while supplies last or have you already made the change?
Its ridiculous that OUR government is legislating these sorts of things and taking our choices away.
I have replaced all the bulbs in my house except for the ones in the bathroom and the kitchen. The florescent bulbs in the kitchen will be replace next, but that will require a replacement of the light fixture. I haven't replaced any of older bulbs--they have been in daily use for so long, I don't remember when I put the LED bulbs in. I think they have been in use for about five to seven years.
My sister and brother-in-law was very pleased to them in years ago. They have so many recessed lights in the ceiling, that they were tired of changing them and taking a chance of having an accident.
Those LED bulbs *do not last longer* , lots of them fail in less than a year, some 6 months. If I go find the super expensive ones that are supposed to last longer, that costs way more than any electricity I might save. They are even worse than CFLs.
I need incandescent lights to help me read my mail and things.
Leds cause more noise issues than anything other than generators. Govt sticking it to us again

It's actually a very good plan. After purchasing my latest home 5 years ago, I switched every bulb to an LED one. Prices were relatively high at first, but they have dropped significantly. Almost every single LED bulb is still working and have only replaced 2 outside bulbs due to a shorted fixture. Then throw in the savings with your electricity bill. Thoroughly believe in; if it's not broke, don't fix it. However, with electricity bill savings, I have more than made up my cost on the bulbs.
Lightbulbs, the true that to America....Now if only the corporation I work for would stop producing tons of plastic waste a day

I switched all of my bulbs to LED which resulted in a savings of $24 per month or $288 per year.
How many times have you had to replace them? Did that cost savings carry through when you factor in the replacements vs traditional bulbs?
@@CountryGeek-hr8tk I have LED bulbs in both the upstairs and downstairs hallway lamps. They have burned everyday from sunset to about midnight and in the morning during the winter for an hour or two. They have been in use so long, I don't remember how far it has been. Five years, seven?
Hmmm... LED is supposed to be so great, but I've had some of them bulbs not last any longer and even much shorter than what they are trying to get rid of.. 🫣
I had bought some LEDS from Walmart about 6 yrs. n about 3 yrs later they burnt out. Had to go to Lowe's or
Home Depot to get NEW LED bulbs n that so far has worked.
