All I wanted was a easy and quick way to cook my frozen ravioli. You did not fail me, I can always count on you to make my life in the kitchen easy and straight to the point. You are best!
I never thought of pre-cooking the Ravioli before the sauce ; I usually stir chopped onion, chopped garlic, olive oil, Italian spice w/ frozen Ravioli, then top with half jar of sauce and cup of water; then set for 15min (I live in high altitude).
The reason why I like to precook the ravioli before the sauce is because adding a cup of water for pressure cooking (together with sauce) makes the sauce watery. So I drain the water and then add the sauce
I love ravioli and have a Big bag of frozen cheese & spinach ravioli that i was considering for supper tonight 😊 But I dread the production of boiling the water and trying not to overcook them till they explode or fall apart 🙄 then the clean up……. SO delighted to stumble upon you ❤ and I am going to make cheese and spinach ravioli in my Instant Pot tonight 😀. So looking forward to it !!!!! ❤❤❤❤
Seems like every other instapot person has to give a background of the meal You are so good, you do the recipe and show us how to cook. I’m learning to cook after being divorced and I like cooking ( may have stayed married if I cooked instead of my wife lol ) anyway I appreciate your help
@@MelanieCooksRecipes madam than you so very much!!! This is the recipe that keeps on giving!!! I made an entire bag of ravioli that was sitting in my freezer for I don't remember how long yet not expired. I made the entire bag one jar of tomato sauce and my husband, mother and I enjoyed it very very much. I didn't tell them how long it took me haha 🥰🥰🥰🥰 You're a life saver. Anyways, thanks to the left overs I got all my laundry done as well. 🥰🥰🥰 Thank you thank you!!!!!!
I don't use an instant pot but just boil the ravioli directly from frozen for 12 mins. Then I add either pasta sauce or pesto sauce. And always serve by sprinkling grated cheese on top, preferably parmesan.
The cook of the pasta is interesting but as a rule you NEVER EVER dump cold sauce onto hot pasta all you have to do is heat it up for 5 mins it's not hard and it wakes up the spices and adds sweetness through caramalization.

I really like your channel. Aloha! 🌺
Thank you so much!
Add sauce and tomato paste to pot instead of water the flavor is so much better
Yes, but unfortunately many models of Instant Pot give a “Burn” error when tomato sauce is used instead of water
Super Easy!
Yes it is! 🤗

Yummm I love Parmesan on top as well 😋😋
Hi Melanie. There's another one I must try. Have you cooked potato gnocchi using the pressure method?
I wonder how it would go...
Cheers 👍😀🤤🇦🇺
I haven't tried the gnocchi in the Instant Pot, thanks for the idea, I'll try it soon and will make a video :)
@@MelanieCooksRecipes Ok thanks. I couldn't see it taking any longer than a minute. I'll leave that up to you to determine the cooking time. 😀
I'm learning a new way of cooking.
That's great, Irene!
How many ounces was the bag of ravioli?
How much water do you put in if you’re using 48 ounces of ravioli?
If you had a ninja foodie you would of been able to put cheese on top of the ravioli and air crisp it altogether. 🤣
That would be great! 😋😋

Hello. You can put the ravioli and sauce in the the pot pressure cook for 2 minutes. 1Pot meal.
Great idea, thank you! 🤗
Do you add water or just the sauce?
