Once they were no longer useful then White peoples’ racism set in. It’s like the US Chinese exclusion act that they passed, Chinese people suffered a lot of racism from white people in the past and still today. Stop racism, promote equality.

Islam has been in China for 1,400 years.
Islam is practiced by multiple ethnic groups all over China.
Thousand-year-old mosques are still standing in many places, still being used as a place of worship, not as a tourist attraction.
Many western media/govt have tried to paint a picture of religious prosecution in China, but failed. Chinese mentality is different from Western mentality; They never had a religious war. People of all faith live side-by-side in peace and harmony for thousands of years. This is a strange concept to the western mind. Those ignorant scheming western propagandists do not realize that. Only if they would go to China and see it for themselves.

During the World War Ⅰ,the Chinese army supported the European army, doing the dirtiest and most tiring work. After the end of World War I, the Chinese army returned to China, and the Chinese government and people demanded that European countries give up their aggression interests in China. But it was rejected, and instead, the German sphere of influence in China was divided into Japan. It's ridiculous...During the World War II, the Chinese army and people pinned down a large number of Japanese troops, countless men were slaughtered, countless women and children were raped or killed (some became comfort women, tools to vent their sexual desires, an estimated 200,000 women), countless air bombing and germ warfare. The Japanese war of aggression against China last counted about 35 million Chinese dead. Will the imperialist countries have any pity on the Chinese? If Japan does not attack Pearl Harbor, will the US continue to be a spectator who likes to make war money? The imperialist policy of appeasement is still playing out around the world. China's contribution to the world anti-fascist war is worthless in the eyes of some imperialist countries, because the Chinese are yellow people, and the notion that the Chinese in a disadvantaged position are not worth remembering and mentioning in their eyes is deeply rooted. I think Ms. Judy should not have too much hope for the local government, you can come and walk along the southeast coast of China and experience the places where your father once lived, such as Guangdong and Fujian province. I wish the two interviewees good health and all the best.

I am not British. The sad fact is this far more Chinese people have died at the hands of the Chinese communists than at the hands of the Japanese and other European imperialists. And 1.4 billion Chinese are still suffering great injustices, are still denied their basic human rights by the Chinese communists to this day. Chinese people living outside of China today, whether in the UK, the US, continental Europe, Japan are treated with much greater fairness and and enjoy far more human rights than they could in communist China.
I hope you and other Chinese will devote far more of your time and energy fighting against the communist dictatorship led by criminal thugs like Xi Jinping than against past injustices perpetrated by European colonial powers. One must fight against present injustices perpetrated by communist thugs like Xi Jinping whilst remembering past injustices to prevent future repetition of such injustices.
Furthermore, if the communist Chinese leadership condemns past invasion of China by Imperial Japan and other European colonial powers, then the communist leadership must also refrain from invading and stealing land and sea belonging to other Asian countries.

Judy is not the mixed blood child of a Caucasian mother and a Han Chinese father. The gene pool in China is so dominated by black hair and dark eyes that it's almost impossible for a mixed blood kid to not have those features. Her father was Caucasian. The only Caucasians in China are in Xinjiang, and it being a desert region doesn't produce too many sailors. I know that the CGTN viewership is a tad sensitive, to the point of being paranoid, and if you disagree with anything it's taken as being an insult to the 1.4 billion Chinese people ( you hurt their feelings), but that's not my aim here. I'm simply stating the obvious. That woman's father was not Han Chinese, so probably not from China.

I have seen in my extended family that a child looks Caucasian when the parentage is a mix of Han Chinese and white British.

@@bobsoutar6253 your “theory” is merely opinion. But I accept that you can have this, albeit I don’t agree with it. Siblings of mixed race can look vastly different wrt to the genetic traits and appearance from each parent.

Caucasian doesn’t exist, outdated term. We aren’t from the Caucasus. Only Americans use this term.

no chance.. unless she knows where's her father's ancestral village in China, just armed with a name and photo won't do her much help

She's 79...her father probably long gone, the one she probably can find is if her father has offspring there, but even so, the offspring would be at least 60 or 70 something, not everyone can live to that age or healthy enough to stay aware of her searching effort.
Her chances to meet with her father's family there is very slim, except there is grandkids that would aware of it.

also recording keeping back during wartime was next to nothing as most of China was occupied and people were fleeing from the invading Japanese... unless those super remote places not even Japanese would go there might have a chance but i really don't think so

my father had many brothers and sisters but most of them were given away to rich families so they could just stay alive.... after the war, all contacts were lost.... that's how messed up China was back then...
