Here in America our law is based on Common British Law. I was taught in 9th grade Civics Class sixty-four years ago that I live in a "free country" and that "freedom" can be summed up very simply: "freedom means that I have the right to do anything I wish so long as I do not infringe on the rights of others". The piano was assigned that place and could not be moved. You were filming your performance which included the shot of your hands, as was your right. Your actions were sanctioned by the rules in effect in a public place and you had the right to perform in that space filming at that angle. You had been speaking about some shifty activity that was happening in the area. You had been rightfully checking everyone out in case something untoward was about to happen. Suddenly the Chinese people approached you to demand you not film them. Could it be they had a case of paranoia, misinterpreting your actions? What was the big deal about their images being shown on UA-cam? What were they afraid of? Were they of the common belief of primitive people who believe taking a photograph or film of them steals their souls? Had they left China without permission? If they were suffering paranoia, their jumping to such a conclusion was very quick, leaving no time to sort that out and moved into the swampy weeds of their demands, an attack that took you by surprise as well as all the bystanders. At any rate, their presence standing in the shot was of their choosing and if they objected to being filmed, then the reasonable action was, as you said, for them to get out of the shot. The man's escalation to yelling at you, falsely accusing you of touching the woman when everyone standing around saw that you only touched the flag she was holding, attempting to dominate you by repeating the false accusation over and over, commanding you to not touch her was ridiculous. He was abusively committing the crime of verbal assault. Obviously he had been a debater in school. Using a loud voice yelling over another person, using obfuscation by false accusation, rapidly repeating his words in an urgent aggrieved tone of voice are tactics of rhetoric having Greek names used to describe these literary devices. These are dirty devices one falls back on when reasonable speech cannot win the game. I think I heard the young man who had been listening to the Chinese giving statements to the police officers say something about their intention to make money off the incident. O, brother. Bless you for remaining calm and civil.

Free speech in western? Can you say something true about the wars behind?
it's not "free" speech...... the piano is inside private property.
If they didn't want filmed they should never have approached you. They should have walked away. So glad you stood up for yourself. Your playing is wonderful!!!
exactly hahaha ,,
I am totally agree.
These were Chinese Xiao Fen Hongs (Little Pink Reds) who advocated CCP's agenda. They were longing for attention. They actually wanted to be in the video. They would take this video to their supervisor to show how they fought against the Imperialists. It is very unfortunate that the UK allowed these people in their country.
If you don’t want to be filmed it’s probably good idea not to walk anywhere in public in London!
Bit like when people would come right up into my personal space telling me to wear a mask to protect their health when they could have just kept away from me in the first place. People are idiots.
Big ups to Dr.K for standing up for his rights. If they don't like freedom, they can return to Winnie-the-Pooh land.

Proud of you, Dr. K... stand up for our rights... free speech!!!!
@@MyPronounIsGoddess free speech doesn’t automatically give a right to verbal abuse. Free speech, in principal exists to stop oppression. However, when the privileged lose their privilege it can feel like oppression to them.

The female police officer is so far out of her depth, and so unprofessional. Imagine telling someone you can’t say that. What? That they are Chinese? Ridiculous! Britain needs to retrain its police. Stand your ground Dr. k. The world loves you 👍🇦🇺🇬🇧🙏
Blair's regime started the politicisation of the police, his party even took the Police off the beat in the late 60's , it's been downhill ever since, our way of life has been seriously damaged.
English police, and even worse a woman police, what do you spect from that cuck state?
There will be police in plainclothes walking through watching etc all the time.
Sad to see power-hungry jackboots are universal...
The UK has undergone a BIG change in the last decade or longer. Personal rights, like FREEDOM OF SPEECH, no longer exist in the UK. You best keep your mouth shut or youll be arrested. They arent kidding.
I’m ex plod and that BTP
Officer didn’t have a clue on law, what you can and can’t say, or how to defuse a situation. Absolute disgraceful
Me too and ditto. Her accusing and aggressive tone was very difficult for Brendan to stand up to, but he did and all credit to him. She was dying to arrest him - for what - her accusations 1) having a You Tube channel 2) that he should stop filming 3) he said Chinese Communism 4) he touched a flag. Thank goodness it is all on film because the police and the Chinese were gunning for Brendan and would have destroyed him if they could.
We all saw what happened and he is 100% the innocent party, just trying to bring pleasure to the world with his magnificent piano playing.
I hate to see our police behaving in this way. She should have listened to the Chinese then politely explained our law to them and advised them to go on their way with the new awareness that probably every inch of every UK town is on film plus individuals filming things of interest, such as a pianist in a tube station.
She was so pc she might as well be the chinese security guard
One thing he said that is blatantly incorrect, was "You are not their private security...". He's a straight white English man, in England, he is enemy of the state #1.
As for the copper immediately saying what the commies said, "Put your camera away!", that tells you all you need to know about modern policing and their unwritten lefty rules.
Karen the kop
The british police have gone right down the pan , they employ anyone now aslong as they are woke or a box ticker , most of them are as thick as mince
Maybe I'm just a typical American - but if he had screamed at me like that he'd be picking his self up off the floor wondering what hit him. Cheers Mate for sticking up for your Freedom of Speech rights - I totally support you. Its crazy that communists can come to a free country like the UK and try to dictate what "Free People" can do in their home soverign country.
Can you imagine going to another country and treating a public performer so disgracefully?
It happens in Canada all the time. My African neighbours next door blast there cultural music all day and invite 15 friends to sleepover every weekend. Canadian communities are destroying themselves with ill-mannered foreigners. At least the Chinese foreigners aren't violent like my neighbours.
No I cannot! What an entitled bunch of pratts.

How absolutely ridiculous. These people chose to to come in front of the camera to argue & cause disruption. I’ve never seen anything more pathetic. If they don’t want to be filmed, they shouldn’t have stopped to listen to the music. If they can’t accept that we have freedom of choice here in the U.K. why are they here? Thank you Brendan for standing up for our rights. 😡
Chinese people in mainland China have the mentality of being a slave to the CCP. They will do whatever their master Xi Jing Ping ordered them.
Coz the only way to protect their rights is when they're abroad, outside of China😂
That group of chinese people are hilarious lol... they ask not to be filmed but that one chinese dude was holding out his phone the entire time

If you don’t want others to capture you, go to a private space. Demanding the entire world’s compliance in causing a scene in public - is it the behavior of oversized infants with fragile egos? Initially, other countries didn’t dislike China, but with these Chinese individuals engaging in unpleasant activities everywhere, it’s unlikely any country would still have a favorable view of China. Well, except maybe Russia…
These people think they can rule wherever they are! , in a free country! Thank goodness, you stood your ground.

Ironic how she stated she had her camera on, but he cant have his on.
Can someone inform this delegation that we have freedom of expression in this country they can go back and enjoy their social credit scores.
They werent even in the camera's view until they intentionally disrupted the performance to appear on camera. Calling them clowns would be an insult to clowns. As an Asain, you have my full support.
In Ontario, Canada we had Chinese who established law enforcing agencies and were intimidating Chinese Canadians for supposed crimes that they had on their record. They went so far as to threaten a Canadian Chinese member of our parliament. This appears to be a possible imitation of that behaviour? Brendan, you are absolutely right with your statements and if they don't want to be filmed, it's up to them to avoid the camera. You are not breaking the law in a public place, as you are well aware. This watering down of our rights is being attempted everywhere and we must stand fast and protect our human rights.
I'm from US NYState and this concerns me. There's enough political crap going on , but ... the Chinese guy started screaming like Brendon was going to rape her or something.. he touched her flag. Wow! What a bunch of crap! So this is obviously one way China is trying to take over. Hummm. Tucker Carlson needs to do a show about this, if he hasn't already.
China will influence your political leadership if you are not careful…. Our US president definitely influenced by the CCP
Those rogue chinese police departments have been found in several countries in Europe. We had this in Belgium too. Harassing the Chinese communities and behaving as if they had some kind of authoriry here.

Because they are already involved in disputes. What these people want is occasional, brief, informal photography, and that's fine. Photograph others formally, frontally, and for a long time. When others are not engaged in illegal activities, they have the right to refuse to be photographed! It is obvious that the pianist has grasped the loopholes in language, logic, and culture, and he does have certain biases.
