The 160 GB in iPod Classic came in two different thickness. The earlier model has a thicker, dual platter harddisk and the latter model has a thinner, single platter harddisk. The earlier model has thicker chasis so it could host a bit larger capacity battery. Some vendors provide info which model of iPod fits their battery. You should check that info if it's available.
