Sorry to be so off topic but does anyone know a method to get back into an Instagram account? I somehow lost my login password. I appreciate any assistance you can give me!
@Anakin Terrance thanks for your reply. I found the site on google and im in the hacking process atm. Takes quite some time so I will get back to you later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
An early Family Guy episode where Meg gets a makeover and the family forms a band has them singing a song that is very similar in both melody and lyrics to the main theme from Sonic Adventure, Open Your Heart by Crush 40.
Remembered another Oddly Familiar find I have noticed. The 4 letter buttons on the right side of the SNES, Game Cube, Wii-Classic, Xbox, Xbox 360, and Xbox One controllers at least. All these controllers use the same 4 letters for each button on the right side: A, B, X, and Y.
I'd always wondered why they called the Nunchuck's button "Z" despite no X or Y buttons on the Wii Remote, and it's such a Nintendo thing to do, to recontextualize an old design idea like that
On the N64 controller similarity to the Wii Ninchuck, the Z Button on the N64 Controller was located extremely close to where it is located on the Wii Ninchuck.
I have a double whammy with 2 fonts and the game title for 2 Zelda games. The font used for "The Wind Waker" on the title graphic is Sherwood, and the Font used for "Twilight Princess" on the title graphic is Ravenna.
One song that I fins sounds so incredibly the same is Children by Robert Miles and Osaka Castle from Samurai Warriors. Right around the 50 second mark.
Actually just went through all the different versions out there and the Osaka Castle theme from Samurai Warriors 4 might be even more on the nose. It almost sounds like a remix of Children.
This is one Oddly Familiar story that I find too good to pass up. It involves the Street Fighter 4 Character Goken, a Street Fighter 2 prank, and a duffed original translation into English that took on a life of its own. In the original English translated Street Fighter 2, Ryu's Victory Quote was "You must defeat Shen Long to stand a chance." What Capcom meant to say and was fixed in later releases of the game was "You must defeat my Shoyruken to stand a chance. However, the Shen Long duff lived on and became even more popular when a prank article mentioned "Shen Long" as an unlockable hidden character and fight under certain conditions. It became such a popular fan legend that Capcom created Goken for SF4 based on this prank and fake legend to solve this fiasco.
It actually is. Dreams Come True did some of the music for Sonic 2, and their song was instrumentalized for Sonic 2. They're even listed in the credits.
As soon as you mentioned Peter "playing" Tecmo Super Bowl, I imagined Peter shouting "Corner 3!" while playing Double Dribble. 😄 I never knew Jack Black was in the Pitfall Harry commercial. I've never seen it since I didn't grow up with the Atari. 😯 But as soon as you mentioned it, I knew it was him because of his jawline and eyebrows - just younger. Was hard not to see it at that point. 😅
@@musingsofmessa My first console was the Game Boy Color, with the N64 shortly afterward. The N64 to this day remains the console that I had the most fun playing, and the most solid games. Never had Ocarina of Time for the N64, but it instantly became my all time favorite game after downloading it on the Wii Shop Channel a decade after it came out on the N64.
I wouldn't just assume people were ok with their footage being stolen and broadcast without permission and then having a copyright claim opened against them just because they received more views or attention afterwards.
Imagine you have a video with a few thousand views, maybe even 50,000 or 100,000 views.... and now all of a sudden a few million (it's at 2.5 million views now)... all of those $$ in your pocket i am sure helped ease the pain. You can also say in a way, you made it in a family guy episode. and it was only some gameplay, it's not like his voice, face, and hundreds of hours went into the video
btw ... i'm not defending Family Guy or Fox, I completely agree with your point. They should have asked permission, or credited the user and used it under the fair use act
@@goatbone The copyright claim is the only part that's reasonable to be even remotely upset about, and that one was revoked so who cares? Them using the footage in the first place is honestly not something any Let's Play (etc.) channel is in any position to complain about. I doubt the guy got an official go-ahead by Tecmo to use their game in his footage so why does he have to give his okay for someone else to use a small snippet of said footage?
@@Pandsu Honestly I don't know much about ownership when it comes to video game footage, especially because different countries have different laws but I see automated copyright claims as really problematic. Isn't this the same as falsely accusing someone of a crime? At the very least it is favouring a big corporation and penalising someone with little power.
You could do a whole Oddly Familiar with the character designs in the Metal Gear franchise alone.

@Anakin Terrance it did the trick and I finally got access to my account again. I am so happy!
Thank you so much you really help me out :D

Interesting, imma look that up!
#4 goes a tad deeper, as the Bomberman Art was created by the the Smashified team. (Now known as Curiomatic.)
nice additional info! thanks!
This is hilarious! I see more miscellaneous Oddly Familiar episodes in the future.
ok good, we will do some more lol
@@uncannyx :D How about some guy escape from prison using cardboard box

Doesn't battletoads pause music sound/use a similar beat to the beginning of Prince's Little Red Corvette (Dance Mix)
I can see that connection.

Oh god you put the Nintendo Quality Control video in lol. I'm working on a riff for this! How did you keep this one a secret from me?
The opening to the castle theme from Super Mario World sounds uncannily similar to Julian Robotnik’s theme from Sonic SatAM.
GameStop made a big fail with that one. Whoever made it didnt bother to check if all of those characters would even be in the game.

maybe I just need a font episode? lol
@@uncannyx I bet you can make one too. Some fonts are used a ton in games now.

9:30 is that a N64 third-party knockoff controller or did you modify it, cause the analog stick looks different?

Hey man, the metroid end theme sounds like the snes f-zero title theme.
Huh...it took me this long to figure out that Pitfall was what was referenced in the South Park episode Red Hot Catholic Love...
I'm slow

Dude, what is the music at the end of the video from? It's driving me crazy cuz I know it from somewhere. XD
I'm thinking the exact same thing.
Tecmo Bowl, NES. It's the 'offense' theme.

What is the transition music? Sounds kickass
