Hey I just remembered ,I did cohabit when I was 21 , because I was running away from sexual and physical abuse at home ,,my then bf became controlling and physically abusive , luckily I had gotten a learnership at the time so I was able to share a flat and be independent

No but I’m in the same situation the difference with me is that I visit home once in a while especially when I can feel that now things are a bit too much now the tension between us, he’d never rush for me to leave but I could tell man🥺and when I’d leave it would be for a few days then I’m back this time I decided to stay longer at least 2 weeks away from him honestly.
I relate to this whole cohabiting story I won’t lie, and I’m 20 and I’m still with him so this was really helpful.

Quite an interesting topic this one of cohabitation. Even more so that you experienced it at such a tender age.
I like the advice you gave based on what you were asked, that's your truth.
I just hope that those who go for it make sure it is a joint decision and like you said, have a back up plan in terms of space where you can go should you decide to leave or have a break.
It is very important to hold on to your independence. Never forget who you are and during the discussion prior the moving in, agree on certain things that are ok and those not to both sides.
