I have a feeling that Angel Wings switches out her "two favorite ponies in all of Equestria" more often than Spitfire switches out her whistles, but that was a very cute and adorable episode that was certainly nothing to sneeze at (although it could have used a few more Vapor Trail sneezes).
I think that the 'wings falling off'-joke is a play on a story about Rainbow. Apparently she once wrote her name on her wings, in case they fell off from her flying so fast... Can't remember, who told me that, though

i love vapor trail because it sounds like the person who does her voice is the same person who voiced one of the dogs in the movie the secret life of pets and at a lot of moments she reminds me of myself and how i would act around rainbow but less shy considering rainbow dash is my favorite character.
Even though this episode wasn't focused on a location that we've never been to, this still turned out to be a great map episode. I kinda sensed a pattern with a few male ponies this season(Quibble Pants, Zephyr Breeze and Sky Stinger). These three were written as characters that we couldn't stand at the beginning and then they become more tolerable in(some of) our eyes near the end. Yeah, I kinda want Lightning Dust to return for a chance to be redeemed in some way, maybe in S7. Your story about "Make a Wish" was interesting, thanks for sharing that with us.

Hehe, yeah. I kinda wanted to see Rainbow Dash have a little race with Sky Stinger, but honestly, I think she would've crushed his spirit, because he wasn't anywhere near her level. Actually have to commend Dash for not doing that, because in the past, I suspect she totally would have, but now she's a bit more mature and recognized that it would ruin his confidence.
That's what I love about how much Rainbow has grown. Of course, there are a few episodes I hate that bring her back to the way she was in season one. For example, Rainbow Falls. Hate rage that whole episode. I really hope the writers keep up with the "new" Rainbow Dash.
By the way, since you watched not an episode from Discovery Family this time, it was a European version which had the scene of RD mentioning about catching up with cider cut in the very end of the episode (she mentions only Daring Do there in this version), because they think cider can be only alcoholic XD

When he mentioned the lego pirate ship I teared up a bit since in 2017 on saint Patrick's day my Great grandma died. And recently my grandma (GG's daughter) sent me some legos that GG would put together with my dad when he was little and among them was a pirate ship made of legos and it reminded me of her when he mentioned that. R.i.p GG and AG's brother let your souls be at peace for all eternity

This episode was amazing and definitely one of my favorites this season. I do think that the moral could easily be misunderstood though. Sky Stinger didn't practice when Vapor Trail was helping him since he thought he didn't need it. So we can only assume that the last time he actually practiced was when he was a colt and hadn't met Vapor yet. So when Vapor told Sky the truth, it would make sense for him to only be a little better than when he was a colt even with his confidence back. But then he goes from being only a little better than when he was a colt, to being a leader in the Wonderbolts Academy in one day. Vapor only needed to work on her confidence in front of other ponies, and while that might be almost impossible to do in a day with ponies as for example Fluttershy, Vapor's lack of confidence in front of other ponies seemed to be very little, so it makes sense that she could be confident enough to be a leader in the Wonderbolts Academy in one day (She would probably still lack a little confidence, but she would have enough to be a leader). But Sky, as I mentioned, wouldn't be able to get that good at flying in just one day. I can easily see the moral being misunderstood as "If you realize what you're doing wrong and have friends to help you get it right, you will get it right almost instantly" by younger viewers. It would have been better in my opinion to have Vapor be a leader and Sky a wingpony to show that you need to work hard to achieve your goal. Vapor did pay a lot of attention in class as Twilight also mentioned. She knew exactly where to blow wind at Sky so he would get a boost in the right direction. I don't doubt that she was one of the fillies/colts in her school who trained and studied the most to get better at flying, and she's been training and keeping her wings in good shape ever since she met Sky and started helping him. She had already trained and worked really hard to achieve her goal. Anyways, other than that, this episode was amazing :D Vapor is definitely one of, if not my favorite character introduced this season. She is just so adorable xD
Very interesting analysis of the characters. And yeah, she is adorable. Honestly, it's kind of deja vu, because in episode 24 of season 5, we got Coloratura, and now in episode 24 of season 6, we get Vapor Trail, both of which became instantly popular characters in the fandom. Like I said, I think it would be awesome to have an episode where we see an army of all the popular spotlighted secondary characters throughout the seasons. I can't imagine what it would cost to produce such an episode though, what with all the voice actors they'd have to pay...
Angel wings: You don't think rainbow dash was the one who's wings fell off...right? I don't know if that was supposed to be funny or if that was a reference to the fake wing on RD in the season 5 finale. XD
Rainbow also lost her wings in Return of Harmony thanks to Discord, and in an issue of the comics her wings were once stolen in her sleep by some unicorns trying (in vain) to brew an alicornification potion.
I think it's awesome that RD told the students to call her The "Dashienator". This may not be the case, but I feel like it's a shout out to the brony "Dashienator" who committed suicide back in July. R.I.P Dashienator, Applegeek's brother and Angel Wings.
This was a nice episode. I didn't even notice that the filly in Sky Stinger's family may have been Lightning Dust until you mentioned that. That's interesting. That would mean Sky is older than Rainbow Dash, since I think Lightning and her are the same age? So maybe he applied to join the Academy late? I dunno. Just interesting observation. And I did sense a little bit of a romantic undertone with Vapor Trail and Sky. She seems really smitten with him. And Angel Wings, that was cool to learn. I did sense that something was a little of about her, her design and voice was not smooth as the other characters, but learning that this was Make-a-Wish Foundation character answers that and it's nice that the young girl got to have her pony on the show. I do want Lightning Dust to come back. She wasn't really a villain. She was an antagonist, very reckless and careless, but she wasn't evil. She was driven to the point of disregard to others, which is by no means good or acceptable. But she has so much potential I'd like to see her compensate for her misdeeds and mistakes and achieve her dream of being in the Bolts like Rainbow Dash, but we'll see. Maybe Season 7? I dunno. Hey Apple, seeing as the finale is next, you might actually want to take a listen to the intro song for once. It's actually different then any other in the show. (I had to listen multiple times to get what exactly the song was.)
Wow. I wasn't aware Angel Wings was an OC from someone in MAWF. I guess looking carefully, both cases appear to have a different look to most ponies in the show. Color schemes and combination appear unique. Considering what MA Larson and the VA for Rara said, they have to wait a year for the entire process to complete from start to finish to see an episode. But I would like to believe both kids got to see these episodes long before any of us do. Looking at both episodes, you can see one noticeable thing about them, though both are good episodes, they have no progress to the story in the season each are currently in. Basically, they are awesome episodes, with little to no spoilers to any episodes in that current season. That can be stated, they are watchable as solo episodes, considering you see all the previous seasons. I guess someone will bring up newbie dash, but not the amount of weeks difference, likely the episode was done by the time newbie dash was out. Also, considering all the rainbow wonder bolt episodes in earlier seasons, anyone can clearly call out Rainbow was bound to be a member already. Whatever the case would be, I'm glad to see the show when the ones behind it do things like this from time to time. Cheers to Angel Wing.

Even though this episode wasn't focused on a location that we've never been to, this still turned out to be a great map episode. I kinda sensed a pattern with a few male ponies this season(Quibble Pants, Zephyr Breeze and Sky Stinger). These three were written as characters that we couldn't stand at the beginning and then they become more tolerable in(some of) our eyes near the end. Yeah, I kinda want Lightning Dust to return for a chance to be redeemed in some way, maybe in S7. Your story about "Make a Wish" was interesting, thanks for sharing that with us.

I dunno. I swear I've heard that voice before, from some other character on some other show, but I just can't place it. Sounds a little bit like Brenda Song, but I doubt that's who it was, too high-profile for us to not hear about it ahead of time.

Top Gun reference at a few places
I can already feel the onset of the after season blues. happens everytime the season nears its end. Im just glad we have such an active fan community to keep us entertained with videos, reactions, fan animations. art and fanfics. even if my own writing enthusiasm drops to a low during the blues >_> Well, next time the finale. looking forward to your reaction on that.
I'm actually looking forward to a bit of a break, because it's a lot of hard work to put out these videos. ^_^ I still have plenty of things to do for content though, so it won't be much of a break.

Hehe, yeah. I kinda wanted to see Rainbow Dash have a little race with Sky Stinger, but honestly, I think she would've crushed his spirit, because he wasn't anywhere near her level. Actually have to commend Dash for not doing that, because in the past, I suspect she totally would have, but now she's a bit more mature and recognized that it would ruin his confidence.
That's what I love about how much Rainbow has grown. Of course, there are a few episodes I hate that bring her back to the way she was in season one. For example, Rainbow Falls. Hate rage that whole episode. I really hope the writers keep up with the "new" Rainbow Dash.

I think that the voice actress that did Vapor Trail was also the voice of Bon Bon in the first seasons...
This episode was amazing and definitely one of my favorites this season. I do think that the moral could easily be misunderstood though. Sky Stinger didn't practice when Vapor Trail was helping him since he thought he didn't need it. So we can only assume that the last time he actually practiced was when he was a colt and hadn't met Vapor yet. So when Vapor told Sky the truth, it would make sense for him to only be a little better than when he was a colt even with his confidence back. But then he goes from being only a little better than when he was a colt, to being a leader in the Wonderbolts Academy in one day.
Vapor only needed to work on her confidence in front of other ponies, and while that might be almost impossible to do in a day with ponies as for example Fluttershy, Vapor's lack of confidence in front of other ponies seemed to be very little, so it makes sense that she could be confident enough to be a leader in the Wonderbolts Academy in one day (She would probably still lack a little confidence, but she would have enough to be a leader). But Sky, as I mentioned, wouldn't be able to get that good at flying in just one day. I can easily see the moral being misunderstood as "If you realize what you're doing wrong and have friends to help you get it right, you will get it right almost instantly" by younger viewers. It would have been better in my opinion to have Vapor be a leader and Sky a wingpony to show that you need to work hard to achieve your goal. Vapor did pay a lot of attention in class as Twilight also mentioned. She knew exactly where to blow wind at Sky so he would get a boost in the right direction. I don't doubt that she was one of the fillies/colts in her school who trained and studied the most to get better at flying, and she's been training and keeping her wings in good shape ever since she met Sky and started helping him. She had already trained and worked really hard to achieve her goal. Anyways, other than that, this episode was amazing :D Vapor is definitely one of, if not my favorite character introduced this season. She is just so adorable xD
Very interesting analysis of the characters. And yeah, she is adorable. Honestly, it's kind of deja vu, because in episode 24 of season 5, we got Coloratura, and now in episode 24 of season 6, we get Vapor Trail, both of which became instantly popular characters in the fandom. Like I said, I think it would be awesome to have an episode where we see an army of all the popular spotlighted secondary characters throughout the seasons. I can't imagine what it would cost to produce such an episode though, what with all the voice actors they'd have to pay...

Rainbow also lost her wings in Return of Harmony thanks to Discord, and in an issue of the comics her wings were once stolen in her sleep by some unicorns trying (in vain) to brew an alicornification potion.

I think it's awesome that RD told the students to call her The "Dashienator". This may not be the case, but I feel like it's a shout out to the brony "Dashienator" who committed suicide back in July. R.I.P Dashienator, Applegeek's brother and Angel Wings.
It seems a great thing for those young bronies who suffer the terrible internal illness to put there oc in episodes. I'm kinda touched.

I didn't even notice that the filly in Sky Stinger's family may have been Lightning Dust until you mentioned that. That's interesting. That would mean Sky is older than Rainbow Dash, since I think Lightning and her are the same age? So maybe he applied to join the Academy late? I dunno. Just interesting observation.
And I did sense a little bit of a romantic undertone with Vapor Trail and Sky. She seems really smitten with him. And Angel Wings, that was cool to learn. I did sense that something was a little of about her, her design and voice was not smooth as the other characters, but learning that this was Make-a-Wish Foundation character answers that and it's nice that the young girl got to have her pony on the show.
I do want Lightning Dust to come back. She wasn't really a villain. She was an antagonist, very reckless and careless, but she wasn't evil. She was driven to the point of disregard to others, which is by no means good or acceptable. But she has so much potential I'd like to see her compensate for her misdeeds and mistakes and achieve her dream of being in the Bolts like Rainbow Dash, but we'll see. Maybe Season 7? I dunno.

Regarding the number of map episodes, I never even thought about it in terms of each of the Mane 6 getting a chance at a map adventure this season. I honestly can't explain why I had it in my head that there were only going to be two, because by any measure of logic, that doesn't make any sense. Oh well though, made for a funny (albeit confusing) reaction on my part. XD

Hey Apple, seeing as the finale is next, you might actually want to take a listen to the intro song for once. It's actually different then any other in the show. (I had to listen multiple times to get what exactly the song was.)

Wow. I wasn't aware Angel Wings was an OC from someone in MAWF. I guess looking carefully, both cases appear to have a different look to most ponies in the show. Color schemes and combination appear unique. Considering what MA Larson and the VA for Rara said, they have to wait a year for the entire process to complete from start to finish to see an episode. But I would like to believe both kids got to see these episodes long before any of us do. Looking at both episodes, you can see one noticeable thing about them, though both are good episodes, they have no progress to the story in the season each are currently in. Basically, they are awesome episodes, with little to no spoilers to any episodes in that current season. That can be stated, they are watchable as solo episodes, considering you see all the previous seasons. I guess someone will bring up newbie dash, but not the amount of weeks difference, likely the episode was done by the time newbie dash was out. Also, considering all the rainbow wonder bolt episodes in earlier seasons, anyone can clearly call out Rainbow was bound to be a member already. Whatever the case would be, I'm glad to see the show when the ones behind it do things like this from time to time. Cheers to Angel Wing.
