As an INFJ I agree with this mostly, as a male INFJ, I did have to learn how to control my emotions and only show them to my most trusted people and that is all. Too many people see emotions as a weakness and felt I was weak so I needed to not show them to others. Also, we INFJs and INTJs get along so well and we INFJs are the ones that love hearing an INTJs blunt and direct approach. We can even become the INTJ's translator so that other people can understand better what an INTJ is saying to them. We have just as many similarities to each other as we do differences. No other type understands an INTJ like an INFJ does, and vice versa.
Hm.. INTJ here with an INFJ boss and almost all of the points in the vid are very true and it very much shows in our interaction and work styles. Boss`s almost stereotypical (at least from my perspective of working together) - quiet, people oriented and coldly logical/theoretical behind the facade. I might be a more odd specimen of an INTJ (eliminated every possible mistype at this point of course), or more realized/evolved as I am nearing 50, I have learned to use small talk and even enjoy it (goldmine of information and a launchpad to get things done), I don`t mind being touched at all (pretty developed Se, worked on the physical all my life) and I will show emotion and what drives me (though I was very closed off when younger). Would it be right to assume the Ni doms might be the ones that most diverge from what is expected as they grow into and past middle age? I keep evolving like a phoenix year after year and so many of those around me seem to stagnate and even devolve.. what a life 🐦❤🔥
Management assigned an INTP over me for the summer. It's been a storm ever since. She send me a good morning email every day and I hate it. I communicate via email, HATE meetings. Why do they keep having them if they know I find their policy inept, outdated and incompetent? I have one friend. I used to have another but he died. However Im OK wit being touched if I really know someone. My Ex was an INFJ lol.
I am InFJ, my partner is INTJ. We are very similar in many aspects. However, INTJ is very fixed in His opinions and doesn't allow for other perspectives. INTJ appears to have no empathy in strained situations, his social intelligence seems minimal. I don't mind debates but not with people who enjoys conflict. INTJ appears to be fuelled by opposing views. Rather than appreciating another's perspective and agree to disagree, they Persue and initiate conflict. INFJ wants to be of service to others, INTJ wants others to be of service to them. INFJ always want to progress and compete with self. Whereas INTJ seems to feel no need to progress and only competes with others.
That sounds like unhealthy INTJ territory. I’ve tried so many times to disprove that T in my INTJ-ness, but at the end of the day, I can relate to the extraverted thinking 100% and the extraverted feeling maybe a 25%. I do notice other people’s emotions but only act to help especially in the feelings department if they are close to me, but to people I’m not close with I tend to have this brick wall. I do care about how other people think and make sense of the world so I’m up for a healthy debate just to see a different aspect from someone else’s perspective, but I know when to step down or if that person is not the type that wants to participate I won’t initiate or engage a discussion. and I will agree to disagree. I’m more open minded if they bring something up from their perspective that I had not thought about before and it makes more sense than what I had thought.
INTJ as far as I know is more logical, if they knew there is a different perspective that is better or they are wrong, they will not shy away to admit their mistake and l change their perspective. It's my first time hearing an InTJ that is not logical and rational and we know that it is their core. Reason INTJ is not emotional because they rely on facts, stats, so I guess you're husband is different or maybe not an InTJ. Your husband is just stubborn, you need to re-evaluate his personality because that's against the INTJ's main principle

Male INFJ here, taken every mbti test possible and keep getting INFJ but I feel like an INTJ. This video just made my problem worse because I relate to both INFJ and INTJ.
I'm right on the cusp of T & F, so can identify with both to some degree.

So what if a person is coming up mid-range on the F & T scale?
It means you're both, and the binary is meaningless.

Yes, exactly!

@@interesting-psychology Mostly wrong.
