  • On this episode of Ben's Worx i take a piece of scrap merbau and some casting resin and make a beautiful secret wood pendant necklace, i used a piece of leather to make the strap and a brass eyelet to hang it from,

    Nice piece but I was hoping you would have had the other broken piece as the top part.... would have looked cool as if it had been pulled apart

    Abolutly awesome, when you like break something off and put resin on it, and make it in a symmetrical shape. Its so satisfying.

    Very Nice and great inspiration. I do a bit of pen turning and will try this with a fountain pen so you can see the ink

    Great work brother, real classy little piece!
    I can't wait to re set back up my work shop! I had to move and still waiting to find a new space in this new city, but excited as i started playing with epoxy resin not all too long before I had to move, so i'm looking forward to a few of the smaller projects like this instead of jumping right into bigger forms like i was! Larger scale pours aren't cheap and take a lot more time then I had myself believing haha

    Its very beautiful! Well done! I know that resin has the tendency to become soft when exposed to high temperatures. Is there any possibility to peel off the wood?

    But i was wondering if there was any special reason why you didn't just drill a whole horizontally through the top piece?
