This is just two artists with an honest love and respect for each other and their work. Their joy performing with each other is both wholesome and electric.
One of the best things about Lin is how comfortable he is being the center of attention, but how willing he is to take a back seat and showcase those around him. He just has fun with everything, without developing a huge ego and becoming pretentious.

I was at this show. It was amazing
. Also Lin was a huge fan of regina as an artist before he even got as well known with Hamilton. Back then, she was bigger than him. Then it switched around. Thats why they are such good friends and she was able to make this happen. Regina was also asked to be on the mixtape with this song.

I love how Lin is standing there, modest and humble yet somehow still larger than life and looking more fatherly than ever. Then he lays this powerfully emotional gaze on Regina that just radiates immeasurable pride and awe. It seems his heart is filling and breaking all at once. Overwhelmed by the humbling pride of creating something real and special that will be adored for generations to come, and also struck by a touch of heartache and sadness for the realization that all the beautiful things and magical moments of transcendence cannot last. The beauty is so fleeting that you must fight with a furious passion to grasp these moments in time when you can and while can; wringing it for all it can yield. Waste not, want not. Life’s raw, unfettered beauty is this way by design of course; because it’s the very finite nature of experiences that makes them unique, stunning and magnificent moments in time.

he’s improved so much, he sounds so incredible and i’m so proud of him ❤️
He very much sang in his own, more naturalistic style in In The Heights and Hamilton, but has taken on a more trained style since Mary Poppins. His pitch has always been exquisite, but his actual singing has improved a lot in the last few years.
You can tell that he can sing but is not a singer if you know what I mean

Regina was one of my favorite singers when I was younger, and still is now. Hamilton is my favorite musical. Seeing these two sing one of my favorite songs in the musical together made me cry even more during this song. It’s so beautiful. I’m so glad I found this video. :,)

It makes me so happy to see them on stage together. Their voices sounded perfect in harmony. And I loved how Lin just watched her but in a way that wasn't intimidating, just admiring. And he ran off the stage before he could be aplauded.
But most of all I liked his little sigh at 2:57, he closed his eyes and it seemed to me he was so centered and confident on the stage, like this was something he was born to do. I imagined he thougt at that moment "I am happy to be here"
