Almost the exact same color scheme! Found your 2 videos this morning. It looks like we are doing almost the EXACT same project! We are converting half of a garage into a hair salon (10×20). Replacing the 8×7garage door with a single full lite and two large vented sidelites. I've got a lot of work left.... I would love a review of the final floor, what you liked about the laydown of your colors, and what you would do differently next time. I'm not afraid to tackle this as my first job, but I'm nervous about making the marbling look right. We would also like it if Jason's wife could give a tour of her finished space, tell how it's working out.
Brandon at Spartan is awesome. He helped me figure out my order for my first 500+ sf garage floor home product. I'm lucky, garage floor has been covered by a hard plastic tile and stayed clean. Will be doing this soon ... doing a red,white,and blue floor with a wave pattern.
Wow! We watched your first video and felt that you guys did a great job on how the situation went. This second time was so much better and the results were amazing! Thank you for the great video, and when you're ready to apply another floor from Spartan, you should try PC66 our polyaspartic urethane top coat. Only for decorative flakes though. Keep making videos you guys both are great!
Well. we've just got our new home dried in. I 've found the epoxy countertops and floor videos - and I am sure I want to jump. I guess I will start with a countertops first. I was wondering do you see an issue, with like making epoxy flowers in molds - then laying them all out in the bathroom - then resinating it all? Do you foresee any issue in this type of scenario . Even watching your fail video, it's hard to understand , as a lay person, exactly what was the issue - you poured it too deep - and it flash cured? and how did you eliminate that? Pour it into smaller, shallower containers?
How about doing this on cement board instead of tiles on the upper level with a subfloor below? Would that be even doable or it’s a long stretch and would fail?
why is it you'd only recommend this for a garage floor? I'm in Alaska - and everything is quadruple the cost - and we're moving into our home with plywood floors. I figure it can't hurt to experiment - as we've got to save up for the flooring (no mortgage!) - worse comes to worse and we hate it - there'd be no problem just putting down a wood floor on top, right? Should I be scared to try it?
Question for you why use the squeegee to spread the epoxy why not roll it like you did the primer is there a specific reason…. honest question because I want to do the same to my floor I just want to know your thinking…
nice save. now what about the fumes. I dont see you wearing mask. please take care of your lungs! I did a white board with epoxy and it was an interesting experience. I applied it while hanging and the drips were unavoiable. We could not stay in the room for almost 1 week.

Did my basement bathroom yesterday with the stone coat. Turns out great. However, I am not new to epoxy. Used to do my tables with their products.

So, did you just do the second coat right on top of the first ruined coat? Did you sand it first?
Well crud....I ordered my "flooring kit" already...but now I'm scared. HAHA Thanks for the honesty.
