I am rather excited, I have a cousin that purchased the "President Lincoln 2 plus" missing the large print on the box "Amateur Radio". He's a truck driver and by the time he noticed it wasn't the older CB he remembered, lets just say its still new in the box. The other day we chatted about my Tech / HAM call sign and he is mailing it to me. Really appreciate your video, it helped me understand more about the unit and looking forward to receiving it.
I'm glad that you liked the video. I like the Lincoln II Plus , it's a nice radio. It's not like the original HR-2510 , or the original Lincoln that President made . But it's still a good radio.
Great radio! I have two of them. One as a base & one in my truck. Just remember to buy the 1K resistor to put in it.
I been running this as my main base station for a few months now . I had it set up and modified by Matt at The Radio Garage . He does awesome work . It’s a great radio . I constantly get compliments on it . I wish the receiver/clarifier was a little more compatible to my older 2510 and 2600-148 GTL ,, but overall , i give it an 8.5 out of 10 for the price
... and you're one of the reasons I got one . I ran an HR2510 for well over 15 years , and out of all the radios I've ran over the years . That is one of my favorite radios ... and yes , I still have it . I'm definitely impressed with it's little brother , the Lincoln II + . Thanks for the recommendation Dallas .

Thanks man ,, I still wish I woulda got the 955 for the SSB advantage, but at the same time , I don’t regret it . It’s an awesome radio with lots of features and 45 to 50 plus AM/SSB clean watts on a scope and Bird peak meter . 👍

Yes, I thought I heard you say it didn't have it, then when I heard you use it, by then had pressed send. Enjoyed the video and really enjoy the President Lincoln II+. It's coming off the road soon to a permanent home I'm the shack.
Can you or anyone else tell me how to unlock the clarifier on this radio? Doesn't change anything turning small knob on ssb.. help please
i love mine i have 2 one for the mobile and one for home its a great radio super tuned i can talk skip in my mobile no problems .i had the hr 25 10 and they both are top for me love them both
I also have an HR2510 ... it's one of the favorites of my collection
I love mine, I use it daily for digital modes on 10m and have made hundreds of contacts. It is a perfect radio For beginning CB or Ham.

It's not a bad radio. I run it in my work truck. The audio is lacking without a power mic. Now, I do like the filtering. It beats out some of my older 148s which is tuff to do. Actually has better nb than my yeasu mobile rig. My kids like to change the colors...overall a good radio. Works well for my work setup and I only paid 20 bucks from a local ham so no complaints.
I'd buy Lincoln II + radios for $20 all day long .... lol . That's a great deal .
I forgot to mention...the downside to using a power mic with an adapter. Sometimes it will change channels when you key down. I've heard other people say the same issue.
I've got the original stock mic .... but I've been using my Astatic D104 M6 microphone with it ... and so far I haven't had that issue with it , knock on wood .... lol
Circling back to this. I believe it's a faulty mic. It's a new d104. I should've known better. But it came with the radio.
I put a 4 to six-pin adapter on my ranger 4-pin mike and it changes channel when I key up.
The stock mic does the same
The best radio I've used for cb radio "Tune it with the data program. Tunes much better " more to offer doing so. Nice video Racoon.

A lowkey tip: Start tuning swr's with cw mode. It is a narrower carrier, and easier on your finals as you start from swr's of 5:1 or higher. Then once you are under 3:1, drop the full maul carrier (AM mode) into the arial.
Thanks for the tip Eric . I have mine in my base , on an Imax 2000 . So SWR's weren't an issue for me . But if I put it in the mobile , I'll definitely remember this .
Being visually impaired I wish companies like this would make a voice synthesizer standard just so it would be able to audibly announce what frequency are on what mood you’re in and or what band but I’m sure that would raise the cost
From my experience , the only company I've seen use a voice synthesizer in their radios was Kenwood .
@@RaccoonsRadioRanch not sure if they are the only company but yes they do use a voice synthesizer because my 940 has it but I just wish this would be a standard option on some of these radios to make it a little easier for those who can’t see very well to navigate around on the controls
I love my president Lincoln 2 + I have it moble in my semi matched to a sliver bullet fiberglass antenna 66 inch and works great . You have to read the instructions and easy to use when you understand the menu have fun 73,s..

Just curious would a 30 amp power supply run a president Lincoln and a rm Italy kl203p amp pulls about 10 amps
Yes a 30 amp power supply would run a President Lincoln II very well , without even breaking a sweat .
Have 3 President radios. Hand held AM Randy, the AM only Walker, and the AM/SSB McKinley 3. Really like them. Do not have a Ham ticket, so never ventured into the export models. Don't know if I ever will, but I

President radio company make some of my favorite radios . I have a few base stations , and mobiles ... and I have the President Randy as well ... and now I added the Lincoln II + to that collection as well . They make great products in my opinion .
Ham or not it still illegal to run it on am 11 meter bc of the power but no one cares anymore get you one from walcott pre tuned for 11 meters and have fun 73s from kr92va
Hi, thanks for making the video. You really didn't say why you like the Stryker SR-955 radio better. I know this wasn't a comparison video of the two radios, but it would have been nice to hear why you like the Stryker SR-955 over the Lincoln II. Also, I looked up the mic you added to the LincolnII. You added a board or something to make it work? Also do you know where I could find a wiring diagram to wire the astatic D104 M6B to the Lincoln II radio? Thank you for your help.
In my opinion , the 955 is a better looking radio , that has more "bells & whistles" (for those that like them) , with a better receive , more output power , less menus , making it easier to run ... and I don't think that the SR-955 can be beat when it comes to Sideband stability . Those are just some of the reasons I like it better ... and not just better than the Lincoln , but better than anything else that's currently on the market .

I run my as a base and I recommend this radio too, there is some people on UA-cam that claim that this radio have a problem, that is because there radio was used and mistreated by a want to be a technician.
I agree Hector ... I have "No Issues" with my Lincoln II + .... and there a lot of viewers to my channel that also own one , also without any issues . In fact, I got my President Lincoln II + based on the overwhelming recommendations of my viewers & subscribers . I highly recommend these radios to everyone , along with the Stryker SR-955 . Both are the 2 top selling Export radios right now ... and for a good reason . Thanks for your comment , and for watching the video Hector .
Did you do the 11 meter mod? I'm still searching for the answer to my biggest question, My 2+ was converted at a profesional shop, and rather than Band A, mine displays Band CB, And so far nobody has been able to answer that question

I never really considered this radio. I had to decide between the 955 and the AT6666 , in the end i chose the Anytone. I love it,im using it as my base station now.

I argued with myself for a long time over whether to get the Stryker 955 , or the Lincoln II + . In the end I went with 955 ... but I'm definitely glad I added the Lincoln II + as well . Now I alternate between the two in my base station .

It does have echo built in. I use the ch buttons just to change channels, unless I'm going up and down the freqs.
you're 100% right , it does have echo in it ... I was thinking about making a video with a more thorough review of the Lincoln II + .
I still haven’t decided if I want to get a Lincoln II+ to replace my first generation Lincoln of the 80’s.
I ran an HR2510 as my main radio for over 15 years . I still have that HR2510 , and I fire it up and use it every once and awhile . The Lincoln II + reminds me of the HR2510 in quite a few ways . But at the same time , it definitely stands out as being it's own radio . I don't believe anyone would be unhappy with it .

@@jasonbabila6006 I don't doubt it .... there are a lot of guys that would like to buy my HR2510 . Especially since it went to Bob's CB and had all the mods but the chip switch done to it . It's definitely an excellent performing radio .
I'm in the same situation. The stryker or the president.
Honestly , they're both good radios ... but if you haven't bought one or the other yet , then I would highly recommend the Stryker SR-955 over the Lincoln II + . You definitely won't regret it .

What exactly does "call" do?
It says in the manual :
Press the INDIC - Call everytime to send a pre-editing prompt voice code calling . LCD shows "TX" .
My 2 plus swr goes up when I turn the rf power down haha! Anyone ever heard of that ?
What frequency are you on when it does it ?

Wait until you try to key up and nothing happens. Oh they have a habit of changing channels down when you key up too.
Which is why I like the Stryker SR-955 better 😉

How about the adjacent channel rejection of that radio? Mower junkie says it’s bad…
I've been running it for a week now , and so far I haven't had any issues with the adjacent channel rejection in it . It could just be an issue with that particular radio , and not necessarily the entire line of that product .
It was a used radio then maybe it’s been tampered… I’m planning to get one of that so my cobra 148 gtl will have a modern buddy. Thanks bro!

Personally i think this radio sucks. Its given me nothing but trouble ever since i got it. They package the old crappy mic so you have to end up buying the new one. Even then people will say you sound muffled and the ASQ cuts out everything, so youre better off just not using it. Id get a 955 or 6666 instead they are just made to work
Personally , it's an ok radio . I didn't like it as much as I thought I would (because I love President products) ... and it's definitely not as good as their HR-2510 radios are. In fact , I actually sold this radio because I prefer my Stryker 955 , and my HR-2510 over the Lincoln II plus . In my opinion , if you want a newer radio ... save your money up and buy the Stryker 955 , you won't be disappointed.
