You know you're getting old, when you purposely look this video up. I move thousands of boxes every shift at my warehouse. A single injury could end you up jobless, and on disability. Please be careful people. My mom didn't listen, and had 3 different back surgeries.
Do you ever have hand pain from all the lifting? Two months being a package handler and I got joint inflammation in my hands and can't find any info on how to prevent it.
Thanks! I started doing stock at my work. I only see videos teaching how to lift barbells, but I needed to know how to lift something directly off the ground. This is nice.
This is such a simple task that can go wrong in a matter of seconds. Thank you for the tips. My aunt messed up her back bad when she worked as a EMT and she has had spinal surgery.
How about some info on proper grip? I hurt my hands from overuse from lifting boxes in a warehousebut have been unable to find any resources on how to prevent this. Contacted OSHA as they also seem clueless about this.
yes and oversized and odd shaped boxes and boxes that are under things and not out in the open like this. This is a theoretical lift not a real world lift, which makes the whole thing pretty worthless

Keeping the back vertical can put a lot more pressure on it as the weight moves in front of you. You need to have a slight tilt forward to make it safer.

This was mind blowing before I was putting it on my head

This video was so helpful. I never lifted a box like that before. Thank you very much.

its funny how we need to be reminded of how our bodies work and how to use them
It's funny how flawed our biology is
biology doesn't exist bro get with the times@@breather8758
Activation of the core can be difficult because we are bipedal and don’t use our core as often as quadrupeds
Birds pick up stuff with their feet or their beak
We moved arojnd 2,000 boxes at the warehouse today .. and 25KG rice bags
My back was hurting. 10 hour shift
I told my teacher I couldn’t pick up a box like this cause I get a pain in my knee but he insisted I had too 😮 to pass the exam!
Krusty: Next thing you know you're some schmuck working in a box factory
Box guy: Uhh I heard that
thanks
Man I need to see these videos with actual heavy boxes. You can tell that box is light

lol this is a great animation reference hahahaha
My own standards it would be impressive if I showed someone me carrying a 40 pound box going upstairs
Ups has exited the chat
My work doesn't like us to use dollies for some reason haha
You, try to follow this tips.
Great!!

Jontron said it better

It's not "keep your back straight"! Listening to that was how I hurt my back. The proper advice is to keep your back VERTICAL.
