“Frankmobile?!?!?” You can’t fool me! That’s the Wienermobile! Always was, always will be!
That's what I heard as a kid, that's what I still think of it as.
Scott Weiner wanted the name
@@kbh95207 Scotch Weiner? I’ve heard that’s painful. 😬
Thats what i always known it as too. Frankmobile doesnt have the sane ring.
Schlongmobile
Always was and forever will be the WIENERMOBILE. Met the chef in the 50s. Still have my whistle.
Yea 😂 that’s what everyone use to call it
And it was spelled "MEYER"!
@@residuejunkie4321 It was always Mayer
If they think people are going to stop saying Wienermobile, they got another thing coming.
Weinermobile is iconic.
For promoting heart attacks and disease!

@@donjuandelanoootch News flash! Especially you! Great picture!
Dad had worked for Oscar Mayer for 35 years. Mother worked there also. Met a Little Oscar at several Restaurant/Food Shows. And...it will always be a Wienermobile to me.
Always will be wienermobile for sure. lol.
My husband, my brother and I were driving home from our older sisters funeral when the Weiner Mobile passed us on the tollway. That put a smile on our faces on what was a very sad day. The weirdest thing about it was that morning I thought to myself it would be funny to see the Weiner Mobile on the road l. Crazy !
The Wienerbomile used to park in front of a hotel on the outskirts of Waikiki every year. I was never invited inside but the driver gave out free whistles.
I always wanted one of those whistles.
The whistles are awesome.
It will always be the wienermobile to me❤
Little Oscar came to our school in the '60s. We all got a tour of the Weiner mobile and a hotdog whistle.
Brings back childhood memories. I remember seeing the Oscar Mayer Weiner Wagon in the 50s and finding an Oscar Mayer Weinie whistle in my Christmas stocking. I can still hear the high pitched whistle.
Great memories! I was riding in my parents' car as a little kid (mid-1960's) and - lo and behold - the Wienermobile pulls right up along side us at a red light. Never even knew about it, so I was practically jumping out of my seat! Something I'll never forget.
This pulled up and parked for like a day at my high-school everyone loved it. Even high-school kids in their "too cool" phase love that thing
As someone with a CDL and driven everything from semi trucks cross country to school busses, I imagine it drives like a RV.
. . . I could never work at a place like that. I'm autistic and can't smile and "be happy" naturally. The acting/people-person aspect would get to me.
Spasticus Autisticus
I saw one of those a few years ago on I-40... Very cool!
Great to see the interior! Looks like a pretty nice Ride!
See them quite frequently down here in New Orleans. Brings back happy memories.
I have seen one a few times here in Kentucky. I passed one on I-75 one day about a year or two ago. Neat thing to see!
I was picking up a Penske rental in Lexington recently and there was one in the shop for service.
I distinctly remember 2 wiener encounters. One as a child in the 60's in East Oklahoma City. The other 1999 in Portland, OR. Portland took my wife and I by surprise and we had to circle around and take a second, longer look. It made us home sick.
Thank you for a wonderful segment.
There's one downtown Bricktown right now 12-11-23
"You like Hotdogs?"
"Frankly... They're delicious!"
Well played, sir.
I saw my only Wienermobile at the Cliff Drive shopping center in Santa Barbara, California in the mid-1950s. I walked up to the shopping center and there it was, in all its glory! I was, however, surprised to see the chef, who I thought was a boy, was actually a little man, quite middle aged. I was dismayed, but enjoyed the experience of seeing a giant wiener parked in the lot.
It's the Wienermobile and it always will be.
It’s the Weinermobile!!!!
I lived in Milwaukee for a while, and every summer, like late summer I would see this things driving up and down the streets!
Sure you can rename it the frankmobile to promote your beef franks. It will always be forever remembered as the Oscar Meyer Wienermobile!
I got to see it a few years ago and it was awesome!!!
It will always be the Wienermobile!!
Absolutely!! Always!
Sorry, y’all… Wienerwagon. I met Little Oscar (well, one of them) in 1965, Norwalk CA, got a wiener wistle. It was a small hotdog flute wistle that made 3 tones.
Allen, do you still have that whistle? I remember they were also sold in the packages of OM Weiners. Sadly, I never got one.
@@PlasmaCoolantLeak Long gone, unfortunately.
Fun story! I've always been fascinated by that (goofy) Wienermobile. I have seen one in my town, but never up close or inside of it. About 10 years ago, somebody posted a photo of one parked in front a person's apartment, in an urban area. It had a surreal look,...(I wondered if they ran out of gas and abandoned it?) I knew they would never do that.
Whoever that wrote the script of this report really enjoyed it lol
"Do you eat a lot of hot dogs?" "I do... FRANKLY, I think they're delicious." I think they selected the correct candidate.
The Wienie Wagon! They use to give out tiny whistles that sorta worked.
I don't know about driving one of these but I would love the change to see one up close.
I've never seen one in person 😭
One of the most iconic vehicles ever
I can't think of anything else more recognized, even the batmobile doesn't and didn't tour the country.
They can hire Anthony WEINER as their Ambassador ! I just wanted to be FRANK with you ! Don't let Anthony near the buns ! LOL !😄
Madison Wisconsin? The Oscar Meyer plant closed in the mid 2010s. Where are they doing this? I remember back in those days when you went even in the vicinity of the plant, it had a stinky hot dog smell. Miss those days
I'm jealous... This mustard been fun!! 😁👍🇬🇧
Ha, ha! Good one!
0:30 taken in Roanoke! My hometown!
The model before this one had another Wisconsin connection as it was designed by Brooks Stevens who was a great designer.
I saw one in Myrtle Beach SC way back in 1983 😊
So many puns and dad jokes packed into this report!
Super cool! I've always loved the Weinermobile and I think I ate a whole pack of Oscar Mayer hotdogs on the 4th of July! :)
I saw one in Chicago last week!
It’s always to be called the Weinermobile in my opinion!
The Henry Ford is in Dearborn, MI, not Detroit. I have seen the 1952 there and the 2019 the same week in the parking lot of the Studebaker National Museum in South Bend, Indiana.
The buns, I mean puns, were really flying in this video! ;-)
When I was a kid in the 1960s, one of these came to my neighborhood and they gave out whistles. I lost mine years ago 😢
I imagine one could learn to drive it by practicing on any of today's largest RVs. It's great that so many young people can be easily taught how to drive it. On open roads and in parades, would be a cinch. In rush hour traffic,.....I think not. I suspect they don't drive it everywhere.
I fully expected this to be an episode of Jay Leno’s Garage
One of the original Little Oscars (George Molchan) lived down the block from me (Suburban Chicago) when I was young (mid 1960's) so the WienerMobile was always parked on the street in front of his house… No big deal back then
My boy couldnt resist the hot dog puns lol
Not going to lie, I lost my buns when I saw it in person this summer. Keep em rolling!
When I was little I remember climbing aboard one of the hotdog mobiles and getting a hot dog with but they haven't came around here and many many years
I saw one the other day. Snapped a picture
Dude said a dream come true 😂 AYOOOO
I better not hear any more hot dog puns after this. 😂
Saw it on the road a few times in my life, once in Brooklyn on the Gowanus expwy. 😂😂😂😂🤘🤘
The puns🤣🤣
not gonna lie those headlights and grill is fire
Well, I guess I learned something today. LOL
1:52 “…FRANKLY I think they’re delicious I’m a huge fan.” I see what you did there kid 😂
I will not under any circumstances allow my beloved WIENERMOBILE to be renamed!
I remember seen it in Puerto Rico in the 80s...
I saw one parked in town late at night not too long ago. I was too tired to stop and take a picture though.
I don’t even see those anymore
I remember the early 2000’s when blockbuster was still around n Hollywood videos - and this was popular around that time
Very cool 😎
I saw it a few weeks ago!
When did Oscar Meyer change the name from the wiener mobile?
They can only change the name if you let them. it's a wienermobile.
They said they changed it this year.
@@EricaGametFrankly, it is, and always will be the Wienermobile no ifs, ands, or buns about it.
@@Gogogordy1 Oh, I mustard it wrong, then. Hah! Yeah, it's always the weinermobile in our hearts. Give them time to ketchup.
What is the base car of the Weinermobile?
I believe it’s on a 1 ton Chevy truck chassis but not sure now. It was in the past.
saw one in the 60tys Davenport Ia...
Please come to Florida!!
Im 38 and have seen it in the road maybe 4-6 times
Welp you learn something every day. I had absolutely no clue there was a difference between a Frankfurter and a Weiner. Either way they’re very tasty.
calling the wienermobile the frankmobile is a lot like new coke. it just aint gonna work.
When I was a kid I got a Weiner whistle they put in-between the double pack.
Why do I get hungry just looking at it
LOVED ALL of the puns! 🤣😂🤣
Anyone know if they have to get a cdl to drive that glizzy
When I was a kid in the 60’s, I got to ride in the Weinermobile, it was not called a Frankmobile, what’s with the name changer????? I had so much riding in it when I was 7 or 8! It was Grocery Store Opening.
I like puns. But I’m exhausted after this video.
ive seen that one in the henry ford museum
I used to drive refueling vehicles in the Air Force, carrying 5,000 gallons of jet fuel. This looks a lot harder. Respect to these kids!
4 years of college just to be a hot dog delivery driver
DAYUM whos shawty driving the hot dog at 1:34 my oh my shes gawgeous lol.
An American Icon
Please...Not to burst anyone's bubble. A news service here in Baltimore said that they were being taken off the road.
I still have my little whistle; and I'm 77yrs.
We called it the Oscar Meyer Weiner Wagon when it came to town. But that was back in the 1950's. They had magic shows outside of it and gave away whistles that were in the shape of a weiner - which my mother hid after 20 minutes of having to listening to us blow on them.
wow what an honor to drive the weiner mobile after 4+ years at uni!!! what a world.
this needs to be in FH5 series update... can't wait to V12 swap it!!!
I would love to have an older used one 😊
What’s the point of the vehicle??
Finally got the the seat belt, meat belt . I wonder if it has a lower accident and Incident State Manufacturers Incident report and the Federal Occupational Operations and Communications Safety Report ratio between football stadiums and parking lots, as compared to Highways and Rail Road stats.
I live in Las Vegas. About a month or so ago, the catalytic converter was stolen from this vehicle!
They used to call it the "Weinermobile"
Grew up in Madison saw these around town when i was a kid.
How on earth do they drive that beast through rough mountain roads?
I just saw one about a week ago in my small city pulling out of a taco bell
I passed the weinermobile on I-75 in downtown Atlanta in 2011.
Do you eat a lot of Hot Dogs? "FRANKly, I do". Not even a dad and he's already there with the jokes.
I’ve seen one on IH10 Texas!!!!
As a Purdue alumni go wienermobile. Congratulations 🎊 👏 😅😅
ALL TOGETHER NOW;
I wish i was an oscar mayer wiener,
That is what i'd truly love to be.
Cuz if i was an Oscar Mayer Wiener,
Everbody'd be in love with me!
(Keepin it PG) lol
The Henry Ford Museum is in Dearborn Michigan not Detroit.
