Incredibly well produced documentary from such a small creator! You have some real talent for video production. I did a sprint tri last October and am doing my first Olympic at the end of May. I've definitely been toying with the idea of doing a 70.3 and I think I'm convinced. I'm about 215lbs right now and I just keep imagining how much easier the running will be if I just lost 30lbs. You earned my sub for sure
Thank you! My friend definitely is incredibly underrated! Definitely try out a 70.3! I appreciate the support!
sheesh. this is very inspiring! what you said in the beginning about not needing to limit our goals by our current self or limitations…that’s a big paradigm shift for me.
Dude, what a fantastic story. I am so very pleased you started this journey to health at such a young age. It took me till well into my 30's before realizing I was killing myself with food, but, I changed, and triathlon has become a huge part of my life. As for a full Ironman, don't let the dream die. Anything is possible. You CAN do it! I'm gonna be following you on insta because I want to see it happen. Thanks for sharing your story!
I appreciate that so much! Thank you! I will no let that dream die! I WILL complete a full Ironman one day. This year, I actually plan to run a full marathon.
@matt Oliver that makes two of us. Same age group, same problem, same solution -> triathlon. Keep pushing mate, even if i am still a tad behind you :D
Dang brother, this was amazing. I did my first 70.3 in March after losing my Dad to Covid in 2020. I’m all in now, doing IM Arizona in November and not looking back.
How did it go?
This goes hard! I’m a hybrid athlete and I love to see this!!! Keep it up! 💪
Excellent self discipline. An achievement to inspire everyone. Great job!
This is great man! Keep it up! Proud of you 🎉❤
Great story and impeccable production. It served as inspiration for my first ironman 70.3. that will happen in Rio de Janeiro. Thanks! Greetings from Brazil!
Hell Yeah dude this was awesome! Being a big Nick Bare fan it was cool to see your experience as he has motivated me to start my own triathlon journey. You got a new sub!
I appreciate that bro! I plan to start putting more content out soon now that my wedding/honeymoon is over.
Yeah Chris! So proud of you! Go get it!
Thank you Chris! This was really helpful :)
Great documentary. Thanks for sharing!
Great Job man! That's how real hero think! No matter what...just keep going!
Awesome accomplishment. I'm now preparing for the 70.3 in Antalya. It is a lot of work especially the swimming part. Looking forward to watch more of your videos. Consider the full Ironman, you can do it.
I appreciate that! I do plan on a full before I’m 30 so the plan is in the next few years to get the full Ironman achievement.
Great job! on the vid and and the accomplishments, fantastic and indeed inspiring
Chris, what a wonderful film! Thanks for sharing your journey. Very vulnerable and real. Your transformation is very inspiring and I'm sure the lessons you've learned through it will serve you well as a husband and a member of your community. Hope to see you at a race someday!!
Thank you! I greatly appreciate it!
I did a half myself recently. Wasn’t planning to do one again yet but after your video I am now deciding to more this year. Hopefully I will see you in the next IM!
Awesome great job I have done sprint triathlon and in June 5 I will do my first Olympic tri . Unfortunately I wanted to loose more weight but wasn’t disciplined. Hopefully for the Chicago marathon in October I could do that 👍
Congratulations!!! Great story and well told……
Always go one more bro!! Got my first marathon on Sunday. Lets do this!!!
Interesting to see. I started at 372, I do my first sprint tri in July, 362 days after starting my weight loss journey, and a few days after my 36th birthday, down 90lbs so far.
So proud of you! So blessed to be your mom
Time to make some more videos! This one was great!!
I’m working on that 🚀
Awesome video! Did you do a Bike Fit with a professional fitter? Could have maybe helped.. but congrats on pushing through!!
No, unfortunately I didn’t. I had already spent so much on the race and gear that I didn’t want to spend the money. However, next time I definitely will seeing as how I think it would help me tremendously!
Congratulations bro 🎉🙌
Buddy I got to tell you this is my story I was never that heavy but I needed to lose weight and I did that P90x and that fired me up I'm proud of you good job
Great Ironman and fitness story.
Just wanted to help you out by saying that you NEED to adjust your aero position on the bike. It was most likely the number one factor hindering your bike ride. It also looks extremely dangerous in terms of balance.
I would say, move the seat closer towards the bar and get into a more aggressive position. You want your arms to be only slightly in front of your head. This will basically feel like cheating when you move from your old position to this one.
I want to see you in more Ironmans, and hopefully I'll see you in person someday.
Cheers!
Yes good video... And I agree with your comment. Probably he needs a 1 or 2 size smaller bike. But if this is bike you have to work with, get the shortest steam possible you can find, and the seat in the most adv possible position would help. I think that it would help a lot on the leg pain it was described.
@@TRIcoolbomb I think that hemight actually need a slightly bigger bike. He's a pretty lengthy guy to begin with.
Awesome store man!
Well done man
You said through all those dark periods::: I CAN !!! …and you did !!! 😃👍. See that FINISHERS Medal around your neck 😃👍. Do (1) full Ironman in your life …. At least (1) , so you can be part of the Elite club known as The Ironman Family . Remember, just (1). 😊👍. Congratulations on your race, and great video 👍
Amazing mate 🏴
This just changed my life
Congrats!! Great motivational content!
Amazing story and editing 👌🏼
I just started my own journey to Ironman 70.3 in a way to stay disciplined and to get out of depression! I document the whole way on my channel ✌🏼
very good, mate! thankssss 👍🏼👊🏼
like your consistency at the top
I don't understand one thing, you went slow in your swim and switched between Freestyle and Breaststroke. How did you manage to finish in 30 mins!?
Was it like a downstream or did you practice swimming that much?
I love this video it inspired me to make me work out and loss weight to
Thanks! Glad it could be of inspiration!
music at the end is very good)
🙂
Inspiring story. I just started training for such an event.
That’s awesome!
This was excellent

For anyone that is getting bullied it is important to talk to someone you trust first to get the help that you need!
Read Goggins Book “Can’t hurt me”
Good job!!!
This was awesome and so inspiring! Keep challenging yourself and keep going one more!

Really awesome video!
Title of the song at the end of the video ? Even Shazam can't find it.. ;-)
Only 400 subs for a guy that make such great videos?
Ayyyyye! So proud of your journey. Keep it up, you're an inspiration to us all.
Thank you!
Proud of you ♡ Can't wait to see what you accomplish next!
Love you ♥️
Love you ❤ lifetime
This was cool to watch Chris! So much for the future announcement of qualifying at the Ironman in Hawaii, eh?
How was your body after the Ironman? Did you suffer any severe DOMS afterwards?
Thanks, man! I appreciate you! Haha… maybe one day 😅
My legs were 100% shot for at-least 3 days after. My hamstrings were probably the sorest of any muscle. The position on the bike also takes a toll on the lower back.. so that was the other thing that had me the most sore too.
Thank you!!!
You’re welcome!
Thanks bro
Great job, Chris. Really well done 👍
Thanks, Aaron!
Whats your trisuit? Looks sick
name of the music at 14:36?
What was your finished time?
I believe it was around 5:39
@@chrisbrantley2276 freaking awesome! Definitely a full to consider!!!
Thanks! I plan on completing a full by the time I’m 30 is the goal!
Inspiring story, and a very respectable finishing time! Thumbs up for that.
Well done Chris! And an awesome documentary too 👏🏻

I appreciate you man!
Nice work Chris! Also, “ Vaporfly basically cheating “ 😂. Those are my go to marathon shoes as well. 👍🏻
They’re the best!
I enjoyed your video. I know this is a few yeara old but if youre still doing triathlons get a smaller bike, that bike is waaaay too big for you
is this guy wearing lips rouge?.....
It was an honor man! Thanks for letting me come along on this journey with you.
The honor was mine, man!
