I'm so sorry for your loss ❤ My partner passed away 10 years ago. It never goes away, but you get stronger and more able to carry it with you - and carry their memory and spirit with you too. I hope you are doing well. It's okay if you aren't, just keep putting one foot in front of the other. You got this! Man. This hit home. I know I likely won’t get a reply here but my mom also passed away from ovarian cancer just last month.. The way you described your Mom gave me chills because that was EXACTLY my Mom. She literally fought until her very last breath. I drew (and always have drawn) so much inspiration from her dedication, grind, love and no quit spirit. We also took her home on hospice where she passed happy and in the comfort of her own home after years of fighting this disease. I’m getting chills while writing this because it’s clear that everything comes full circle. From the pain I’ve built through my Mom passing, I started running (and training a lot harder and heavier in the gym) to push myself and to feel something. Through running, I found you and your channel. You have inspired me to push even harder and go beyond what my mind thought was possible. It’s crazy to hear how “similar” our stories, starting points and inspirations are. Thank you for the inspiration brother and just know that your Mom is always with you in your heart.

Thank you for sharing your journey in becoming an IronMan.

Hi guys :) I wanted to update you that I’m already into working on some new videos- here’s some topics to look forward to: -Cereal Culture(it’s like a sequel to pop culture) -Oak Island Money Pit (just a really interesting true story that takes place in Nova Scotia) -I mean I wrote so much about corn it’d be dumb not to do one on corn I guess, I just don’t understand the premise of it -Every Video Game Ever (informative skit thing) I’m really excited about these - they trail a bit more into the informative videos you guys seem to like, so I hope you’ll like em too. Also thank you for the support on the plushies and the video I just released- I know it’s not fair to slap with you guys with a video basically dedicated to merch, but it felt like the last time I released the plushies a lot of people weren’t aware, so I wanted To give you guys one more chance to try and get them. So thank you for sticking with me and more animated Videos come soon- I also have a bunch of footage of me animating a running loop of GingerPale using embroidery, but after seeing a bunch of comments of people being not so nice about the latest video being not animated- even though it was made by my friends over at NeverCake and THEY DID AMAZING :’) - I’m not sure it will fit on the channel, so if I decide to still finish it I’ll probably just put it up on GpApi. We’ll see tho- just wasn’t feelin the bullying today so I don’t want to disappoint again with another not fully animated video - idk we’ll see I will go draw now :> Thanks again
Having completed many triathlons, been in 4 IMs, 6 Half IMs, and Sprint and Olympic National Championships, this a hell of an accomplishment. Please don't taint with arguments about "strength training" is better than "cardio". You don't complete an IM without an extensive amount of aerobic training. It is painful. It is continuous suffering for hours on end. You can't Crossfit your way to an IM. And you can't run your way into a Crossfit World Championships. This man put in the training. This man put up a great time. Just let it be what it is. Really fast guys are sub 9h30m, but 11h is an amazing time. He earned every mile.

One of the single greatest UA-cam videos I have ever watched. Inspirational beyond measure. Congrats!
18:40 is super powerful. My mom passed away from cancer 2 years ago. Another warrior taken too soon. My condolences, but I know they live on through us.
Pretty impressive. I ran my first marathon age 46 with time 4 hours got cramps in muscles i didn't know i had so i can't imagine what u went through with biking and swiming. Congratulations and my condolences for your mom. Great inspiration!
Nick I sympathize with you as I went through the same thing about 17 yrs ago with my Mother. I'm sure she was very proud of you and that her memory will continue to inspire you. Take care.
I’m not even going to lie, I literally broke down watching this video! I’m proud of you dude!
I wept
Dude I’m so sorry for you loss. Had no idea. I lost my dad two years ago and it doesn’t get easier. Keep pushing keep striving and when we run and train I like to think they are right next to us.
Congratulations man! This whole video gave me chills. I’ve enjoyed following your Ironman journey. You got me even more pumped for my first Ironman in April. Thanks for the inspiration!
Nick, I am so sorry to hear about your mom’s passing. I’ve been following since Korea. It’s very apparent how close your family has always been. You hide your pain well. Thank you for everything you do and god bless.
That scene with you in the dark getting hyped was it man. Love the fire
Sorry for your loss of your mom...she is proud of you...you are a true fighter..thanks for all inspiration you are doing for me ,thanks Nick
congrats Nick! There's no feeling like crossing the finish line in a Ironman! Your Mom was with you from beginning to end! Awesome!
I've cried during this whole video, this is so beautiful. Thank you for sharing your moms story and this emotional, incredible experience.
Been watching you since before Korea. Congrats dude you made your mom proud
So heart felt. I started tearing up as I lost my mom to cancer last year as well. Being a cancer survivor myself, I know the battle and journey how hard it may be. I embrace everyday as if it were my last and live for myself and my family to the best I can. I'm all with you brother. Let's keep it going forward for our moms. Thank you for sharing your journey in becoming an IronMan.
Nick, my sincerest condolences. Honestly, I mean it with all my heart.
R.I.P Mrs. Bare!
Celebrating the strength and spirit that is your mom. Blessing and comfort to you and your family, Nick. You are loved.
Watching you “embrace the suck” really motivates me to push myself to my limits, because I know that my level of sucking is nothing compared to yours. RIP Mrs Bare. We love you nick
Hi guys :)
I wanted to update you that I’m already into working on some new videos- here’s some topics to look forward to:
-Cereal Culture(it’s like a sequel to pop culture)
-Oak Island Money Pit (just a really interesting true story that takes place in Nova Scotia)
-I mean I wrote so much about corn it’d be dumb not to do one on corn I guess, I just don’t understand the premise of it
-Every Video Game Ever (informative skit thing)
I’m really excited about these - they trail a bit more into the informative videos you guys seem to like, so I hope you’ll like em too.
Also thank you for the support on the plushies and the video I just released- I know it’s not fair to slap with you guys with a video basically dedicated to merch, but it felt like the last time I released the plushies a lot of people weren’t aware, so I wanted
To give you guys one more chance to try and get them. So thank you for sticking with me and more animated
Videos come soon-
I also have a bunch of footage of me animating a running loop of GingerPale using embroidery, but after seeing a bunch of comments of people being not so nice about the latest video being not animated- even though it was made by my friends over at NeverCake and THEY DID AMAZING :’) - I’m not sure it will fit on the channel, so if I decide to still finish it I’ll probably just put it up on GpApi. We’ll see tho- just wasn’t feelin the bullying today so I don’t want to disappoint again with another not fully animated video - idk we’ll see
I will go draw now :>
Thanks again
Man you see someone stick out a goal and accomplish what they believed would come true. Makes you emotional.
That intro....I lost my mom to cancer too...
You've help me relight my Ironman dream, Damn you!!!!
JJBpilot yessssss! 2020 get that goal..very sorry about ur mum.
JJBpilot how’s ur training going?
I had been looking for a competitive event all year after being done with sports. So thank you for lighting the fire! I found it!
My mom passed away of ovarian cancer a few months ago in March. The week after her funeral, quarantine hit. I had too much free time on my hands working from home so I started running and then I came across your channel. Embarrassing man but this video made me cry. I think about how shallow my moms breathing was the last day and it shows me that there is no excuse not to go one more. She fought, your mom fought, now we have the privilege to fight to. Thanks for the inspiration!
“One step further than an Ironman” ultra marathon hint? 🧐😳
At this point who knows what he will pull. He’s a mad man
Goggins mode?
John Mitchell *shudders*
Ultaman?
The Barkley
She seemed lovely. I'm sorry for your loss. I lost my mother to cancer as well. Thanks for your content and motiviation.
There's always two parts to a marathon... The first 20 miles and then the second half. Good Job out there!
@@SeungLee-m6y He is talking about how the last 6+ miles feel as hard as the first 20 Because you hit a wall.
Thanks for sharing your mom’s story. As I transitioned from the military I was fighting Stage IV melanoma. It sucks but when you embrace the suck, you realize what is most important. God and family! 👏🏻
Thanks for the morning tears... So inspiring 💜
Oh man first clip of her and I cried. So sorry for your loss but I’m sure she’s incredibly proud of you.
Brilliant vid!!! I've loved following your Ironman journey. Im an ex Infantry soldier of the British Army and im also training for my first Ironman so every vid you posted keeps me training that little bit harder 💪 Congrats Bro👍
Sorry to hear about your mother brother. One thing for sure, she has left on earth a beautiful legacy that lives on. God bless!
This made me hella emotional to watch. Thanks for the inspiration. Running a half marathon in 36 hours and this definitely pushed
Everyone hugged their mom after this. God bless your mom and bless moms everywhere
Love This Man! Made me happy! I appreciate everything you do! Can’t wait to see what’s coming!
The intro and the middle portion where you talk about your mom....powerful. Who said Marines can't cry?! Thank you for sharing your journey. I love your attitude. Keep kicking ass, taking names, and embracing the suck! I'm sure your mom is beyond proud of the man you are and continue to become.
Loved this man. So emotional and inspirational.
Hey Nick, you are a true inspiration for all of us.
Rest in Peace for your mother and i wish you the best in this tough time.
Damn, this guy really is a strong person, not only phisically, but mentally. Your mother would be very much proud of you. 🕊🕊
Not sure I could even speak about this type of stuff without breaking down completely. Instant subscriber. You're so genuine.
Thanks for uploading this! I fell into a little rut with my Ironman training with how busy life gets with work and kids etc.
Similarly my wife’s uncle just passed away of cancer and I have 2 friends right now who are battling it.
Thanks for the boost in motivation and congratulations! Hopping on the bike now 💪
Nick your words were exactly the unspoken thoughts i've been trying to find & put together with the same obstacles both are moms went through. Thank You from the very very most genuine heart thats needed inspiration for the past 3 years and for someone who understands that cancer patients pain compares to no other pain.
You should meet david goggins for further thing than Ironman. Big love from india
Your mother would be very proud! Great son, great person, great influence. She’s looking down with the biggest smile!
Crossfit Games 2021: Fittest man on earth
Yes
CrossFit is useless lol
Fernando Erazo CrossFit changed my life Idk wtf ur talking about
Sam M yeah and it’ll change it again once you pull your back doing those weird ass pull-ups lol. The only people that take that shit seriously are people who do it. It’s literally like a cult. I’ve actually tried it before so I’m not just talking out my ass.
@@fernandoerazo9831 I guarantee mat Fraser can run faster, lift heavier and do more bodyweight movements than you. No matter whether the movements are kipping or strict, all the athletes would destroy us mortals. Definitely not useless.
I’m sitting on my Tacx on Saturday night in prep for IM Frankfurt next year and am watching your video. I survived cancer and this IM journey is my quest to get back to my old self. So am ‘embracing the suck’ every day more than once...thanks for the inspring video dude, it made my day! Big thumbs up, can’t wait to hear what’s your next challenge.
Nick tried the CrossFit open and ends up qualifying for the games.. also stef I experienced all the emotions you did!
