    MAN! That's no commercial for El Salvador! I think they must have spent all 20 Satoshi's they had to move there. God love em! This kinda reminds me of that Guy who moved into the wilderness in Alaska with Grizzly Bears. It went OK for a little while but then he was eaten by a rogue Grizzly that he pissed off. Of course he refused to carry a weapon. I wonder if these people are related to that guy?? They think they are so self reliant and street savvy. But the rogue Grizzly is waiting just around the corner. IMO.

      Great interview. I too am a recent refugee from the Turd Whirled Country of Canada.
      I lived here in El Salvador for most of the 1990s, shortly after end of the civil war. Very few foreigners here at that time. Just me and 3 or 4 hardcore surfers.
      So after 23 years of freezing my posterior off in Canuckistan I knew I had to return.
      Number one was to figure out Bitcoin. Did my obligatory 100 hours of research then garage sale and auction off all the anchors.
      My ex asked me to help drive a vehicle from Canada to El Salvador so hooked up a utility trailer, loaded up the three chuchos and headed south.
      It was a high tension journey! I can assure you of that!
      I would never recommend anyone attempt a trip like this with with an ex. You would be risking your sanity and potentially your life. I was forced to take the chance.
      Thank goodness I'm a survivor. Great to be back and be a witness and participant to the optimism and vibrancy here. ₿est decision I've made in quite some time!
      Viva El Salvador

      Well I'm 69, decided I wasn't going to put up with another winter of dispair so I took a 12 day drive south with the three chuchos (mutts) and applied for my residency yesterday. It's amazing what's happening here in El Salvador. Major improvement since I lived here 23 years ago. Very happy to be back. Very happy to have found a lovely replacement for the ex as well!

      @@Moneydelics That's interesting, but how much they get paid in BTC per hour ? So if BTC is 28K they get more BTC than if it is 70K ?! How this is working? OR it's just they get paid in dollars and convert it at spot price for BTC? Which is basically buying BTC not getting paid in BTC .. So help me here.. Let's say ice cream is $5 there, today I'm paying with BTC and $5=0.0001798 BTC, tommorow BTC crashes to 10K, so I still go for $5 ice cream , but I have to pay much more BTC for it $5=0.0005 BTC !! So it's tied to Fiat still..

    • @Moneydelics
      @Moneydelics  Рік тому +2

      @@MB031 you have that right. Let's suppose I need to pay my mechanic $100 and he accepts Bitcoin, I will send him the $100 worth of Bitcoin at the time of the transaction. Some people decide to convert portion of it back in dollar for daily expenses and only to keep in Bitcoin the part they are saving for the future.
      Unfortunately Bitcoin has not become yet the unit of account and that is the last phase of a newer monetary technology introduced into an economy.
      When Bitcoin will be used as the unit of account or how we measure value in society, it will mean that we have reached hyperbitcoinization and Bitcoin has de facto replaced the dollar as world reserve currency.

      @@Moneydelics Many people still don't like it in El Salvador, they prefer dollars, I don't blame them. But it is first step to at least introduce BTC and crypto..I like crypto and BTC but what I don't like is that Chivo centralized wallet what they done there... Why BTC is introduced only in third world countries? Why is not in Europe or USA? There is a hope here in Florida, DeSantis proposed bill against CBDC, that's a sign he might introduce Crypto as an alternative form of payment when stocks crashes...Who knows.

      @@ultimasolucion6904 believe me or not - will not miss them. Was living in Tenerife and Panama and I prefer tropical weather over Eastern Europe. I hate snow, always in winter my health goes problematic 😒. I was living in UK for last 11 years, returned to Latvia due to family reasons, ageing relatives, need to take care of property..love my family but seriously hate this climate. Also people are not friendly and so foreign to me. Hate food here, TV, mass media, culture and atmosphere in general.
      Tenerife was nice though.
