I’m with you! Someone sent me a like to episode 1 and I haven’t stopped watching in two days. I happen to be on vacation and found out just before I left that I’m being given a 27’ project sail boat. I wish I could film my restoration and journey as well as he has.

I rebuilt our boat a few years back. Ground it down to the hull inside and rebuilt everything, stringers, frames, transom, floor, interior, wiring, hoses, 16 gallons of epoxy, gallons of 2 part paint and primer, marine plywood. It adds up. Your summary is spot on in my opinion. Enjoying your channel. Thanks for sharing.

I needed to see this video. I am about to spend 5500 (US Dollars) on rigging on my boat. Not to mentioning the rest of the cash I have spent. But, standing rigging and the mast need to be perfect if you want to sail. Thank you for your videos!

Bonjour from New Zealand, your adage "Your never better served than by yourself" seem extremely applicable to boating.
I have found you pay more than what it would cost to buy any necessary tools and goods to accomplish the job, and you will still have to finish the task properly yourself.

Good words of wisdom reference the costs ,and To Do It Yourself ,you have worked so well on such a good budget ,so many hours ,is the engine power full enough for you or you wish you got one a little bigger

The engine isn't powerful enough, but the engine room is so small that really few engines models can fit, and the bigger option was to get a new one, and thats just too much money. I found a good deal on this 1gm10, second had, and it does the job of getting me in and out harbour, for the rest... sailing. Sometimes it's painful, but rewarding :)

Vraiment top tes vidéos, je les aient découvertes il y'a a peine une dizaine de jours et je les croques petit à petit tous les jours.
Je retape un voilier que j'ai eu aussi pour à peu près 1€ (plutôt 1 franc Suisse) c'est un Trapper 500 de 1976 en excellent état général.
Une question: a la fin de ton ponçage et du traitement de l'osmose tu a passé un enduit époxy sur l'ensemble de la coque, peux tu le donner la marque ou le type ou peut-être même ton revendeur ....

Salut, j'ai une question "bête". Si je ne dis pas de bétises, sur les premières videos tu hissais la gv depuis le cockpit. Par la suite, c'était à chaque fois depuis le pied de mat (sans winch), c'est plus simple depuis le pied de mat ? (même pour les prises de ris du coup ?)

Oui effectivement, au debut j'avais essayer de gréer ma Gv avec des ris automatiques, pour pouvoir tout gérer depuis le cockpit, mais finalement ca engendrait trop de friction, du coup maintenant j'ai la GV et les ris en pied de mat. Donc je prends de la balancine dans le cockpit je vais a l'avant, je hisse et prends les ris depuis le pied de mat, puis je reviens au cockpit pour choquer la balancine, et étarquer le tout avec le cunningam (le vis de mulet est mobile), ca me permet de me passer de winch en pied de mat.
Je pense faire pareil au final, en plus sur le manuel de mon Edel c'est écrit de faire comme ça (j'ai un winch sur le Roof pour ça mais je pense qu'il est pas d'origine)

Tu es équipé en Raymarine et je pense avoir reconnu l'écran d'un I70S et I70R pour le pilote mais j'en suis pas sûrPourrais tu détailler le matériel électronique installé et si tu as trouver un fournisseur in shore ou bien off shore?D'autre part le coffre en bois orientable pour les écrans est monté sur des articulations dont j'aimerai connaître le secret (et un site web ;-)Merci de ta réponseA la prochaine et encore bravoPhil et son Sangria NV

Pour le materiel, j'ai effectivement un pilote Raymarine EV-100 avec un afficheur P70S. L'avantage de ce pilote, en plus d'être surdimensionné pour mon bateau, est que seulement le moteur est a l'extérieur, le calculateur est a l'intérieur, bien au sec. Pour le fournisseur j'ai fait appel a un dealer Raymarine local (Grau du Roi) pour acheter le materiel, j'ai tout installe moi meme puis fait venir un technicien certifié Raymarine pour qu'il vérifie d'installation et me fasse un certificat de conformité (sans quoi la garantie peut ne pas fonctionner).
Pour les articulation de la boite des afficheurs, ce sont des flexibles de lubrification pour machine outil, je ne me souviens plus de la marque mais une recherche sur n'importe quel moteur de recherche avec ces mots clefs fonctionnera: "flexible lubrification machine outil"

pourquoi pas faire des tutos navigations ? quel est ton budget mensuel en navigation ? coût de mouillage dans un port (ca se dit comme ca ?)
Oui, j'y pense, mais il y a pas mal d'autres chaines qui font des tuto vraiment pas mal, j'ai peur de faire redite.
Concernant le budget de navigation, je suis entre 400 et 800 euros par mois. 800 euros c'est plutôt en mediterrannee, ou il faut aller plus en marina et elles sont plus chères, ou alors quand il y a des frais important sur le bateau. 400 c'est les mois dans les caraïbes ou on passe plus de temps au mouillage et loin de la civilisation.
Le mouillage, c'est a l'ancre, et c'est gratuit dans 95% des cas. Pour les frais de port, ca oscille entre 15/20 euros par nuit en mediterrannee et entre 5/10 euros la nuit en atlantique (canaries et caraïbes)

Je connais le Samourai de reputation, mais n'ai jamais navigue dessus. Le franc bord est encore plus bas, donc le bateau doit être encore plus humide haha, pas une sinecure
