Yeah, the only things that changes in the entire game is: terrain, minion variations and the extra mini challenges. The concept was good, but the gameplay is repeatative.
I actually loved the original Jim Carrey version, he is perfect for the role. As for which one I want to see, I do love to see you play Bolt, sense I grew up with that movie
God, this unlocked such a deep memory from my mind, I remember playing this so much when I was younger. Was never able to get past the peppermint popper area though ^^;
I saw a video that worked for me, you click on the url and put this, - , in the middle of the words UA-cam, so you make it look like this you-tube, and then click enter and it lets you watch videos, I think thats how you do it, I forgot kind of because I havent done it in weeks
I remember being excited to get this for my birthday on PC. Then I found out that the ps2 version was way more fun. The PC version, while having you start on the beach ( closer to the book) and adding in more areas, it was much more puzzle based. You didn't get all the fun weapons like you did in the console version.
My first experience with the series was when I read the Carnival book in fifth grade. I was so fascinated by it because it was the first kid’s book I’d read that wasn’t afraid to just be dark and unnerving for the hell of it.
Played this with my mom back in the mid 2000s, on a PS2 with no memorycard, we left the console on for like a week beating the game together in an empty ass room with only a TV and the PS2 whilst we were in the middle of moving out of our home. Best memories as a child figuring out everything together.
I have just finished this game, no nostalgia involved, no nothing. Just first time playing as an adult. It's honestly a good game. Some mechanics are creatively done with quite high quality. The different scenarios, challenges variations, etc... I've really enjoyed it!
Spoiler alert for this video... Surprisingly they didnt hate it. They actually think its one of the better movie licensed games they've played. I dont think they loved it but they didnt hate it at all. Iam glad cause i really like the game as well and its pretty underrated
@@Evielox I liked it, I haven't played this version so I don't have a good comparison. There was a lot of kind of janky 3d platforming but I generally liked it 15 years ago or so, played it through probably 4 times.
You'd think after being chased and attacked by their murderous uncle for 12 books or whatever, violet would have "invented" an improvized explosive to fix that problem.
This game was honestly really good! I remember playing it over and over and that was back in the day when games were short so i’d have it finished in 2 days. I remember how hard the level was where you had to kill the henchmen with your peppermint popper and Id always gets my older bro to help me 😂 Good times
the concept of the story could be a good idea for a video game if it is done right. there was a clear protagonist and antagonist in it and the siblings have their own specialties and traits. there are plenty of side characters in it. maybe a mass effect rpg style.
i have been binging on your content for months. i finished this game back in february just for shits and giggles. i got started on the spiderwick chronicles game, it's a nightmare, you'll love it.
See this actually looks kinda fun - great presentation! Reminds me a lot of the harry potter games which whilst not always great, clearly had love and effort put into them
I LOVED the book series growing up and I loved the film too. I played this growing up. I always had problems with the peppermint shooting section. I only got through it a handful of times and each time I felt honoured to finish the game afterwards. Also I've been meaning to watch the Netflix series but I keep forgetting that it exists.
Man, i ended up reading nearly all these books I swear, a third are just Jimmy Neutron where they have an obnoxiously "smart" way to defeat count olaf or get out of their crappy foster family (since thats basically what each book revolves around, them going to some weird distant family member for some reason and screwing up life for everyone there)
Thanks for another great video. I suggest Bolt. That was a childhood game of mine and I think you'll get some fun out of the superpowers for Bolt the dog. It's probably a bit janky though, it's been a while.
Yeah been waiting for this. So glad you did this, just gad a feeling it was going to be ........bad..... (biting melt baby) and the worse it is the crazy you guys get and I loooooovvvvveeeee It. you guys rock. Thank you for the smiles hummm.... decisions decisions .... i have to say Bolt.
oh man! I haven't played this game in years! I almost had it beat, but for the part where the baby was trying to slide down the pipes. My TV (at the time) was so dark i could't see the obstacles in the way so i kept dying.
I read the books as a kid growing up, I remember going to see the Jim Carey film in cinema with my mum and was so disappointed, the actors they had were great for their roles it was just where they missed things from the books and mashed the ending of book 1 to the end of the film for some stupid reason. The ps 2 game was really fun I played it so many times, but the Netflix adaptation was the best by far, just perfect, good actors who play up their roles well and it focused more along the books
That level with the shooting part was hard for me(also play increds rise of underminer(I heard that is Sh!tty and licensed so it is good for your channel (I think)))
This was one of two movies that Nickelodeon was heavily pushing during the 2004 holiday season. The other one being "The Spongebob Squarepants Movie". Take a wile guess which of these two movies Nickelodeon saw more profit from.
In the books, the kids didn't want Count Olaf to die, because they are truly noble. The note that Kit Snicket wrote to Gregor Anwistle said that we can't just wipe out people we don't like, and use he poison as a weapon against the enemies of VFD, because we would be no more wicked then the enemies. And yet, here in this video game we have Klaus running around killing the henchmen, with "crowbar, broom, whale tooth, tin can," or whatever. The video game is a huge disappointed a great book series.
I played this game on gamecube as a kid and it was pretty awesome lol. The bonus features were Jim Carrey outtakes and concept art. Honestly its goofy but worth a playthrough if you read the books and watched the movie.
I have vivid memories of my little sister deleting my save file for this game and being FURIOUS... it only took me like an hour to get back to where I was, but it still hurt. Lol
