Its nice to watch someone whose fashion is affected by comfort. As part of my chronic illness I have hypersensitivity and all my clothes have to be incredibly soft. I own one pair of jeans, after trying to buy some on 3 separate occasions and ending up crying in dressing rooms in pain every time (it was a nightmare), and my entire wardrobe revolves around clothes I can deal with, which is pretty limiting, and I always see fashion that I love but could never wear. Your style is pretty similar to mine and actually accessible which is fantastic.
Lucy you are always so inspirational and refreshing! I love how intelligently you talk about fashion and about style. Like it's more complex than "I just like this t-shirt and I got it". Such a lovely young lady.
I’m currently doing a study abroad in Ireland, so I had to basically pack a winter capsule wardrobe to bring with me + a few items I’ve bought while traveling Europe. It’s definitely tough, but you really get to learn a lot about your style ☺️
The editing on this (along with every other part) is amazing! I love the little pop ups of photos. Your style sounds so cool and I cannot WAIT to see you rock it. Much love x
Love a good capsual wardrom video! Makes you think about the clothes you wear and buy more consciously. Love the editing on thos video, so lovely! I'm looking forwards to the spring lookbook!
I'm honestly not such a big fan of fashion, especially earthy colors for myself, but just hearing you talk about it all is so ridiculously calming and lovely and informative. :)
I've been wanting to try a capsule wardrobe for the same reasons! I don't buy a lot, but I find myself with a lot of shirts and blouses with no bottoms and I need to start making sure I actually have outfits that go together at all times.
I loved the editing on this video!! Also I'm a total fashion noob, but you make it feel more accessible and interesting. can't wait for the next video!
I think the capsule wardrobe makes people think they aren’t being consumeristic or that they aren’t encouraging others to consume when it is. Yes be intentional and conscientious but, it blurs need and want with things like "rounding out my wardrobe," "try to incorporate x,y,z." So much better use of your time & money. Get off ASOS and all these other brands that hurt people and the planet and use your time and money to accomplish more worthwhile goals and dreams.
This is probably the most esthetically pleasing video you've ever made. Also, great advice.. thinking about starting my own capsule wardrobe and this is really helpful ❤
The editing in this video is really lovely! Also just for future reference the "g*psy" style embroidery can also be called "peasant" embroidery (it's kinda just swapping racist terminology for classist terminology but what can ya do really)
Exactly, was about to comment this, and with regard to the general style you were referring to I would say “boho” “bohemian” or even “70s/hippie/woodstock”
really glad you pointed this out! I caught that in the video and was left wondering what else she could have said instead so the education is much appreciated.
i love the way you did this video!! every time i look at your style i'm tempted to adopt neutrals and go sleeker but i just love my oranges and graphic tees. will definitely check out those mango earrings though!
I love watching capsule wardrobe videos!! I’ve had one for winter but have no idea where to start with my spring one... Pls make more of these videos 💓💓
if you're looking for a nice neutral sneaker with a pop of color, i recommend the onitsuka tiger mexico 66s!!! they have lots of whites and off-whites and greys with a really fun stripe design on the side
I would’ve preferred to actually see you capsule wardrobe, instead of you just talking about it. You did an updated make up video recently, and I was so frustrated that you just explained the products instead of actually applying them! I do like chatty relaxed videos, but it’s frustrating when we don’t properly see what you are talking about
So you buy a capsule wardrobe for each season? Do you keep the previous items you purchased? I thought a capsule wardrobe was a set number of pieces that mix and match? I think it's nice that you revamp your wardrobe seasonally. You are right that one can get bored with just a few pieces. Liked your video. It was like sitting with a friend to chat. Love the serenity of it. Thanks for sharing.
Is 'sports luxe' the phrase you were looking for? I love that you were honest in saying that your capsule wardrobe didn't necessarily work first time around!
I love navy blue! It's my favourite neutral! :P I tend to wear it most with bright colours, pinks, reds, caramel or camel, stuff I don't want to wear black or white with because I think it looks to stark.
I love you so much and this isn’t entirely aimed at you, but I feel like this minimalism trend is a rich girls game and it always makes me a little uncomfortable bc the privilege behind it is so obvious. Like, you throw away stuff bc you know in your heart that you can always just repurchase in case you really need it. I feel like if you don’t have that kind of money, you hold onto everything with dear life, y’know?
Rikke personally, for me I am not rich ( actually the exact opposite haha) , however I do love Minimalistic styles because I know what I need to buy and wear them until they are severely destroyed.
But Why would you hold on to stuff that you dont need and use/Wear , its just clutter and does not serve you if its just laying around, nothing to do with rich girl privelige.
Actually, minimalism isn’t about throwing all of your belongings out. It’s a mindset of not having anything unnecessary. Basically, getting rid of everything you do not need/things that don’t support your lifestyle. Being a minimalist actually saves money and is a much cheaper lifestyle than many.
Basic example: minimalism tells you to throw out any fancy clothes that you don't see yourself wearing a lot or anytime soon. If you have money, you can easily go out and just buy a dress if you need one for a wedding or other event that comes out. If you don't have money, you don't really have that option. That feeling can be applied to anything from clothes to kitchen gadgets. It's the fear of not being able to afford this item when you may need it in the future, so it is hard to throw away. Even a $5 dress from a thrift store can be hard to buy for some people, I grew up in a home where that was the case.
Very much enjoyed this video Lucy! I really need to have a big wardrobe clear out... I've been putting it off for months as it's not exactly what I want to spend my weekend doing, but I know it'll be worth it! I've just bought some Dr Marten Chelsea boots on sale for £55 - I know they're going to last me forever and are a really good buy... I want to be mindful about the purchases I make and buy one or two fab quality and classic items each month rather than a handful of trendy stuff. Oh, and I think the term you were looking for might have been sports luxe?! I might be wrong though! xx
This came at the perfect time for me, I kinda just realized lately that my early 20s (I'm 21) are about investing on certain things, and a proper wardrobe is definitely somewhere in that list. Btw, what do you think about investing in more expensive but better quality pieces while being a student or having just started living by yourself and relying solely on your job income?
What lipstick are you wearing in this video? It's gorgeous! Love the capsule wardrobe, I want to try it but I have a shopping problem I need to control first!
I know they're super trendy right now, but the capsule movement is about so much more than just the arbitrary limit of X number of clothing items. It's about being a conscious consumer, not spending money on things that we know will not enrich our lives, and putting our money towards companies whose ethics are in line with our own. I really hope you have an opportunity to see that perspective and that it helps you as much as it did me.
i have some nike air force 1s in beige and they are my holy grail shoes, so so comfy! but if the beige isn't the right colour for you, they do them in millennial pink and forest green
I wear navy blue instead of black. Navy blue is perfect for me. those earrings are more a royal blue. electric blue is usually very bright closer to sky blue.
As someone who does this naturally my tips are, to avoid keeping things that you won't wear keep the item out of your closet and don't take off the labels until you feel like wearing it. If you don't find an outfit for it, return it. For shoes, wear them around your house to see if they are enjoyable to wear and if they hurt immediately return them.
i sorta got an accidental capsule wardrobe, since im v stingey about what i buy and i still wear clothes that i wore over 5 or 6 year ago & i dont realllly own many clothes, so, capsule?
i appreciate this video so much but i don’t appreciate the fact u wore the nicest lip colour ever and didn’t put what it was in the bio 🤭 thank u for the vid tho, very inspiring !!
QUEEN OF NEUTRALS. your style is so sleek
Your aesthetic calms me

Once an item becomes too old/small I dont get rid of it, but wear it as pyjamas- now they outnumber my everyday clothes! I think I need a sort out..
Alice Wonderland oh my god I do this too!! I have a whole pj cabinet I can hardly close
The animated pop-up box is a cute and functional addition! Love it
Love a good capsual wardrom video! Makes you think about the clothes you wear and buy more consciously. Love the editing on thos video, so lovely! I'm looking forwards to the spring lookbook!
This was actually fascinating. I've never thought about properly deconstructing what I wear. A lot of food for thought!
I love how it's like spring wardrobe and the next day we get snow 😂
Also loved the little picture things at the side.
I absolutely adore your videos. Your voice is so incredibly calming, and you talk about such important topics. Great video.
"Now, as we're going into Spring" is quite entertaining to hear after waking up to a snow blizzard in London hahahah
I'm honestly not such a big fan of fashion, especially earthy colors for myself, but just hearing you talk about it all is so ridiculously calming and lovely and informative. :)

I loved the editing on this video!! Also I'm a total fashion noob, but you make it feel more accessible and interesting. can't wait for the next video!
I straightly love the way you talk. You're amazing, keep going x
you are the most relaxing person on the internet X

Yes! was going to comment this!
omg amazing, thank you for sharing this with me! Will use that terminology in the future!
Lucy Moon Yeah no problem! Love your videos!!!! 💓
Exactly, was about to comment this, and with regard to the general style you were referring to I would say “boho” “bohemian” or even “70s/hippie/woodstock”
really glad you pointed this out! I caught that in the video and was left wondering what else she could have said instead so the education is much appreciated.
Your voice and accent are just perfect
I am watching this from the sideline of a University dodgeball match 😂 Such a good video Lucy 💗✨

i love the way you did this video!! every time i look at your style i'm tempted to adopt neutrals and go sleeker but i just love my oranges and graphic tees. will definitely check out those mango earrings though!
This is literally my style. Thanks for all of the ideas!
I love watching capsule wardrobe videos!! I’ve had one for winter but have no idea where to start with my spring one... Pls make more of these videos 💓💓

hey i think dat pink shoes would be great with all the neutral shirts and bottoms! i'm in love with unexected accents in clothing or makeup so badly
Great vid! Looking forward to a lookbook sooner rather than later😆
I like the way you analyze your style! :)
Your voice is so calming idek how to explain it but I love it

You're so chic! I love all the wardrobe videos you've brought out recently :)
So you buy a capsule wardrobe for each season? Do you keep the previous items you purchased? I thought a capsule wardrobe was a set number of pieces that mix and match? yesSSSSS LUCY i really needed this exact video, how did you know girl
Is 'sports luxe' the phrase you were looking for? I love that you were honest in saying that your capsule wardrobe didn't necessarily work first time around!
this was very calming and helped me think out my style, ty lucy x
LOVE your fashion vids so classy yet fun
If you're looking for not-too-colorful trainers that are a bit more comfortable than van's old schools, adidas gazelle's are great!
I love navy blue! It's my favourite neutral! :P
I tend to wear it most with bright colours, pinks, reds, caramel or camel, stuff I don't want to wear black or white with because I think it looks to stark.
I love following you finding your style!
I like the way you describe different elements of your closet! However, would've preferred a try-on and more dynamic media rather than 100% talking
This si such a clever way to plan your outfits! Great job girl 👌💛
I love you so much and this isn’t entirely aimed at you, but I feel like this minimalism trend is a rich girls game and it always makes me a little uncomfortable bc the privilege behind it is so obvious. There's definitely a LOT of that within minimalism!!! It always annoys me too.

I really want to start wearing trousers but I can't find any that I like, will you do a video on them and how to style/what to wear them with?
I would love to see you do a bullet journal video! Maybe even a collab with Dodie.
Looooove your videos, you‘re always such an inspiration 😍

I love your tea cup, haha! I happen to also be drinking earl gray right now, though not decaf. Loved the video!

I wear navy blue instead of black. Navy blue is perfect for me.
those earrings are more a royal blue. electric blue is usually very bright closer to sky blue.
I feel really inspired by your style
