Will A Hydrostatic Tractor Plow? - Buy Right Size Bottom Plow
Вставка
- Опубліковано 10 жов 2023
- Sizing the right plow for your tractor is key! We picked up an old 16-inch two-bottom breaking plow for cheap, but it was too big for our tractor. We looked at IRONCRAFT, and I think we have a match. 6212 by IronCraft @ironcraftusa @tymnorthamerica #ironcraftusa

It's always great to see Tanya in front of the camera.
She is awesome
Good day. I’m a competitive plough man from eastern Canada and have watched your plowing videos from the start. You’re definitely getting better, but there are few adjustments you need to make. Keep the plow level left/right and front/back while plowing. Also, to get the front furrow a little smaller to match the rear, you’re going to need to loosen the clamps at the front that hold the cross shaft to the beam (cross shaft is the part your lower 3pt links hook to). Slide the plow body closer to the right side. Using a 12in plow, the measurement should be 12in from the inside of your right tire sidewall to the point on the front bottom. Also, if they sell counters for that plow it will pull much easier with them. Those tires are also going to give you some issue as they are pretty wide to fit down inside the furrow bottom. And one last part, if you want better traction and better maneuverability, take your loader off when plowing. I’ve got some plowing to do for practice with my competition plow in the next few days, maybe I’ll try and send you a video with a few pointers
Great write up. I’ve screenshot this so I can try. ❤ from NB

That 2512 always impresses me. There's always something about sitting on a tractor that's always peaceful. Another great video Tony
I appreciate it my friend. I wish I had 1 acres of field land. I would have a blast.
Awesome stuff as always 👏 a much better fit for the tractor for sure i agree with you it is one of the peaceful thing someone can do. Watch out neighbors of Tony he will be taken your front lawn up hahaha and the brush gard is slick looking 👌
Thanks Tony. If Ironcraft do coulters for that, you should definitely get them.
I think I will only need coulters on new ground. They are a must for new ground.
Looks really good Tony! 👍👍😎🚜
Quote: Who Don't Like Plowin"... Never a truer statement made.! 😁 But I think an extra ten horses under the bonnet would have helped.
I think you are correct.
It's cheaper to Replace the Bearing. Than buy a new spreader. Plus a new video.
What are the dimensions of your plowed area and how much yield have you gotten? Overall length and width. Bushels of corn and other crops for the season. That kind of info. Trying to decide what size garden to try. I realize lots of variables can affect yield but am wondering about a good size to start with for two people.
This year was our first time in this area. We had a horrific yield 😁 We are amending the soil with organics and heavy fertilizer. Next year should be better. We have a garden this size at our other house. It is enough for a family of 6.
I really appreciate these videos! I bought the 1515h. I have approx. 30 hrs on mine. I keep noticing the black colored cylinders on the loader. Mine are red. Are the black cylinders different from the red ones? Are they factory or aftermarket?
Everything is factory. I think the color scheme has changed
@@TonysTractorAdventure Thank you for your response in kind. I have the 2023 year model. So far so good. Have a great day.
Tony I have a T25 TYM I bought the tractor based on all the good videos you posted! my question is can i hook up the backhoe to the tractor without removing the Pat's Easy Change? or they will be in the way? i wanna know before buying the Pat's Easy Change because its pain in the neck everytime i hook up my brush hog without the Pat's Easy Change. thanks brother
I don't know. I have never moved my Pat's quick hitch to my T25. That is a very good question.
Sounds like a good video idea. 😗
The plough’s backbone needs to be flat, you are ploughing uphill, which will draw a lot of power. Get the points flat or slightly pointing forward, the adjustable top link is a recipe for confusion and disaster, set it and forget it. Plough looks cantered too far to the left. Adjust so that each furrow makes the same width cut and then adjust side to side height, up or down on the right length adjuster, until the furrows are nicely the same height.
I truly appreciate your insight.
🤗❤️👍
A fun day!
I would have simply ran a disc harrow across it. It didn't really need plowing
Thank you for your opinion
looks like the tractor had trouble pulling all the time plus it was not heavy enough tractor
It just needed to be adjusted out.
Plowing tilled loose topsoil 🤦🏼♂️ That hydro is still struggling and whining like a baby. Now try it with the same tractor with gear drive, same plow and un-tilled ground.
I appreciate your opinion.
You're going to burn that tractor up.
I have had hydrostatic tractors for years. Never had a transmission failure ever. I don't know where that myth came from.
