I love Cedric as a personality, but no one has been able to come close to Patrick's breakdown of each match to me. I love it! Only other commentator I like is reid Duke and lsv for game breakdown.

@@gdmikester4302 I noticed the exact same thing as you, but that's because I'm an 8 Rack player. I see that even Jund players don't tend to side out Liliana against 8 Rack because they probably think the same as Patrick - it's a general assumption that walkers are good against 8 Rack, but Lily is really not.

Interersting. In place of Ross I would surgically extract something before the end of the first game just for information. I guess such an experienced player would know exactly what opp is doing.

If I'm not mistaken, Tom Ross top 8'd an SCG IQ with BG about a month ago. He'd know what the deck looks like, I reckon.

I've played bgx against 8 rack over 100 matches.
1. Don't play into their game plan. Take out every single discard for side boarding. Make them play first, avoid mulligans at all costs
2. Take out your 4 drops and hold all lands past 3, unless they have ravens crime in graveyard or Lilly on board.
8 rack is terrible against bgx if you know how to beat them.

GB midrange has too many dead cards game1 vs rack. it gets better game 2-3, but its an annoying deck to play against.

Santohir made some very poor decisions. First of all, he should have picked up on the fact that Ross wanted him to play first, and should have taken the draw when having the choice, obviously. Secondly, there is NO REASON that Santohir should have discard spells in his deck after sideboarding.. I honestly don't know what the hell he was thinking. The only cards that should be in his at all are lands, threats, things that destroy permanents, and things that draw cards. That's it.
