I started copying Ross’ deck lists before he became a superstar. So I was playing stuff he was before anyone knew what was going on on the larger scale. I remember I went to Friday night magic with a boss sligh list and ran over everyone! Was my first FNM and I was bulldozing a dude in the finals that would go on to play at a pro tour event. His friends were all laughing cause they say they never see him lose. He was on BW midrange. Those were the days…
anatole69 yes, they are close friends, he practiced with him the semifinals deck. im not saying he wasnt mad, but there was an urgency to set up the other deck.
At 3:00, couldn't Tom Ross just Lightning Strike for the win Game 1 once the Ultimate Price was cast? Post-combat, Brad Nelson would be on 3 life, taking 5 from the swing.
Mulldrifter He flipped it up at end of game anyway, and typically aggro/hyper-aggro Red lists run some form of targeted damage as an aid to crash in through.
As a lover of red aggro decks I have to say, bravo Tom!
I love toms deck. Its inspired me to play my first pure red deck in my 3 years of playing magic.

Brad couldn't leave the table at the end of the match fast enough.
he went to to make the deck exactly as toms next match up, they practiced for an hour.
Pepe Melo You mean he practiced with Tom after the match?

Yeah I knew he and Tom are friends. That makes more sense now. :)
Yeah, he wanted Tom to win the whole thing, so he ran off to proxy up the deck he would play in the finals
Hey guys, you cut off Patrick Sullivan's response to Brad leaving the table. It was classic!!
what did he say?
Pepe Melo
it was something like, "there is nothing to say, you grab your stuff and walk away"

I think he doesn't want brad to know he runs burn for late game

+Konflux, they're also friends, so I'm positive that they already know each other's decklists.
