  • It was a very warm day. The sun was bright and the waves were calm. I brought my DD tarp to try a defferent configuration and facing toward the ocean but I guess I'll save the plan for the next time. It protected me from the hursh sun light tho. The yoler stove set up worked great to me since it was compact but it might be a little tight for some people. I actually could bring a smaller mug and that would be a nice small cooking set up. Hope you enjoy the beautiful Okinawan ocean :)

Very well filmed. Good job. Its always nice to see you make proper meal outside. There is lesson to learn. Here we make too much makkara and other easy, campfire may be too normal thing.

Thank you! Eating makkara next to the campfire with you guys was one of the highlights of the trip. I miss your amazing meals! hehe

I had my doubts on another run on the small skillet. Thumbs on giving it another try! Lodge makes a 3.5 inch and a 3..62 inch cast iron skillet with the handle.

I know that the skillet has a cover that matches the size. That would be a nice solo cooking set up.

Lovely set up, plot point is one of my favourites so easy. Your food always looks so interesting and yummy. Just realised the little BBQ stove I have isn’t as good as your one. Neat little frying pan. It is not easy pegging in sand!

Hi Urban Grrl! My stove is called Yoler stove. It’s got nice capacity on the grill and it’s decently light but sturdy(not as much as firebox). I agree. I need different kind of pegs for beach. Thank you!

Hi Mai. I read about the typhoon Haishen. The news suggested that it could hit Okinawa pretty hard. Here up in the north is the best ruska season right now. - My friend bought a Muurikka carbon steel camping pan a little while ago. They advertise that it is made for hard use. I think he hasn't used it yet though. The length of the folding wooden handle is 40 cm (I think it is intended to be used if sitting a little farther from the fire than you) and the diameter of the mouth of the pan is 24 cm. Well there are so many different kind of pans. opamuurikka.fi/tuote/muurikka-hiiliteras-retkipannu-taittuva-varsi/#

I miss Finish ruska. It was so beautiful when I did backing trip at Oulanka national park. I'm interested in 23cm frying pan without a handle. All the products from the campany seems nice and sturdy. Thank you for sharing the link! I will look into it :)
