I go to the lions rest in stormwind just before I Finnish up play for the day and take time out to listen to the music it's very up lifting and emotional, as I remember being in the last battle with Varian Wrynn. one other things there is most definitely bagpipes in some of the music score.
It's really telling that they couldn't find a single intune bagpipes player to live play this for them. It's really too bad the bagpipes are such a rough instrument that they're better synthesized.
It’s really telling that they are trying to take the sound of a Highland Bagpipe, pitch it down to A440 and play it in the key of A minor on a synthesizer. Leave it to “orchestrals” to confuse people, when there exist certain types bagpipes that fit the range, and can easily play (in A) all of the notes used for this piece. 🤷🏽♂️
Go to Lions Rest in Stormwind Park, you should hear it there. Assuming you get there before the next expansion and the context of the song is no longer relevant
"The good news-for players, that is-is that there's "an excellent chance" that Brower will be able to continue to work on Blizzard games in a freelance capacity. "
Neal Acree is still there and he made music like Anduins Theme, Nightsong, Arthas my Son, Times Change and Xaxas so dw. I think Jason Hayes is still there too
Thank you so much I wanted to know this for ages, I just knew she had to be Irish. This is one of my favorite WoW song ever and yes, it did make me cry.@@huntmastergutentag557

Who's cutting onions.
This along with the 'Invincible' music are two of the best music pieces in any game ever
The day The Horde died
Or at least what it meant to be Horde
I'm not crying... There's just something in my eye, I swear

its not there anymore :/
R.I.P Varian Wrynn
Vocalisation of this can be heard by his tomb in stormwind. It’s so beautiful and sad at the same time
I am a little disappointed to see no piper, but still this song is amazing 😍
It's epic to watch her singing in Thalassian live.
That would be Darnassian, i believe. Lol
@@archangel1018 Nope, it's Thalassian! And people generally headcanon it to be Valeera singing :>
@@hlyfall indeed the beautiful squeaky part we love is her singing "Selama Ashal'anore" translation "Justice for our people"

when varian died.
Videogames are high art form.
They needed to turn up her mic a touch.
omg i cried. FOR VARIAN! FOR THE ALLIANCE!
to think they fired the guy who composed this- and practically every other song in WoW. I doubt the music will get better from now on...
He is a freelance composer now, doesn't mean that he doesn't work with Blizzard anymore =) This concert was after he "left" Blizzard.

Not fired, but he retired.

I didn’t see the piper so there were no Bagpipes. Just sayin’

She sung it so well however some words we’re heavily mispronounced. Altogether though a beautiful piece
Have had music turned off in the game wsince 2008
You’re missing out on what makes the game awesome.
