- This is a subjective list of the top 10 sim racing games for the PlayStation 2. Some games featured here may not be technically full sim racing games, but were considered very good racing games at the time.
Gameplay is captured on PC at twice each games native resolution. Screen Capture Software: Nvidia Shadowplay and OBS Studio.

Enthusia Professional Racing and Sony's Formula 1 '05 and '06 surely deserve at least a mention. Formula 1 '06 is still one of the best F1 games out there, after it's PS3 'remaster'.
Enthusia was one of my favourites! Zillions of hours playing
I wanted to like Enthusia, but the driving just doesn't feel right, cars understeer like crazy and not having analog throttle/brake unless you're using a wheel is downright evil.

Lets be honest. The biggest jump was from 4th to 5,th generation, and from 5th to 6th. Back then trying new console was absolutely breathtaking!! It will never be so again
Not graphically but to me 9th gen does not exist and the actual big jump was VR, I had not feel so astonished since 6th-->7th gen

I remember watching a GT3-Trailer for the first time back in the day, and I could absolutely not distinguish it from reality anymore. Looking at it now I kinda feel stupid about that 😅

definitely missed Richard Burns Rally. It's the first and only rally sim game ever made, and it's still played today

@GiacomBono GT3 is the last series to use arcade handling, that's why GT3 is preferred because it's easier to control the car.
while GT4 is the beginning of simcade handling, which means you need more skills to control the car.

Wieso sehen diese Spiel so HD mäßig aus? Wie geht das? Ist das nicht dir Original spiele auf der Play Station? Bei mir sehen die nicht so hochauflösend aus.
Was ist das Geheimnis?
Wahrscheinlich spielt er auf nen emulator. Bei mir sehen sie auch nicht so gut aus wie hier, aber auf einem emulator kann man die resolution des Spieles erhöhen sodass alles einfach schärfer aussieht.
As others have mentioned, Enthusia, Richard Bruns Rally, Ferrarri 355 Challenge, Suzuki TT Superbikes and Dirt to Daytona.
Granted, much of what you would call a "sim" back then would now be labled "simcade", but especially RBR and the Superbikes games still hold up next to todays modern sims. Enthusia holds a special place for me, and many others here it seems, for being on the cusp of what i would still consider enjoyable to play on a Dualshock controller.
