I live in what is considered a friendly city in America. I visited Brisbane and the people were twice as nice. Wow! This part of Queensland is paradise.

@JezBollah 667 so true jez. I moved from newcastle to brisbane 6 years ago and brisbane is amazing. The people are humble,friendly, you say hi to someone down the street and get hello back.
Its easy to find work,housing and so relaxed.
I hqve literally fallen into every job role ive had and built a career from nothing just chatting to people.

.For myself being a local resident i get to experience this City's cool stuff regularly,, BUT
I see my city of Brisbane in a very different way than most tourists would ever experience.There's a whole lot more to living in this great city that most tourists will never experience.This video is a great promo for Brisbane City ,that is probably what most locals take for granted .its good to see visitors having a great time here too. thanks for sharing.

My coisins local chinese shop which he loved got done for cooking ibis selling it as chicken, which he ate plenty of holy shit ive never laughed so hard

Brisbane looks really nice! I love it when you show activities that are completely free :) My boyfriend and I also travel full time, but our budget is pretty tight (maybe because I spend too much time editing videos when I should be working) so it's nice to see that you don't need to spend a lot in order to experience a new place - not even in Australia :)

I totally stayed in Australia for 4 years and stayed in Brisbane 6 months in the farm in Brisbane. Back to my memories, i’m so sad that i didn’t take lots of videos.

Welcome to my home town! If you are still there - Make sure you catch the city cats in the evening and enjoy the sun set over the river. Only costs a few dollars and you can spend as long as you want cruising up and down the Brisbane River! And catch the bus to the top of Mt Cootha for some spectacular views and bush walks right next to the CBD.

This might seem cringy and weird but it makes me so happy that u were standing in the same places I do everyday it's amazing. I am white Easter European. Majority of Australians are Indian and Chinese. They are main racists. If employer is not white, they hire only theirs Chinese/Indians/Philippines/Arabians/Latinos mates. Unfortunately, in my occupation field only Indians and Chinese are welcome. They do not allow Russians and other exUSSR nations.
I am Australian and that isn't true not all of us are unfriendly.
LOL, I am in Australia for 16 months and Australian employers still do not wish to talk to me due to "oh, Russia, do not worry, you are not suitable for this position due to very specific requirements, your resume is excellent, but we decided to not proceed you". Aussie hire non-qualified immigrants from India, Philippines, China and never hire high-qualified white Russian. All high-qualified Russians work at construction sites as slaves for $20/hour.

My son abd I have just come after a 3wk trip in Oz on the way to visit family in Sydney. Loved Brisbane, the man made beach in Southpark is fabulous. You don't want to leave because there is lots to do in the good weather.

The air will get drier as you head further south in Australia.
You must have gotten lucky with the weather. There is a particularly bad storm lashing out over Queensland right now - the skies wouldn't have been looking quite as nice in the last few days.
Enjoy your stay in Australia... it's a whole different place, where the swans are black, the animals have pouches, and the water in the bathtub spins the other way while draining!

You are in my hood! So nice to see it from an outsider perspective, I guess we take some things for granted. If I may make some suggestions: Eat Street markets on the weekend is great for glorious food. Actually Brisbane has a thriving weekend market scene and Northey Street city markets too are great for a stroll and to wander though their edible landscape gardens on a sunny morning with a coffee. West end I think nowadays is better for nightlife over the valley, its more laid back and late night dining/bar culture...check out the boundary hotel on a friday. That giant bridge you were near is very close to GOMA and the Science Centre, both super cool. Also after Bris if you are heading south, its very beautiful in northern new south wales near byron bay, broken head, and nimbin area. Although the floods have brought flooding to murwillumbah and tweed, (surrounding area's) so not sure of the conditions. Enjoy Aus!!
I think that maybe this lovely. intelligent young lady should get lots of kudos for her intrepid attitude, and her savvy know how, and less comments on her body. She seems to me to be a wonderful person, and so full of the wonderment of life. I love your videos. That coming from a guy who has been to Brisbane and 59 other countries.

Visit newcastle it has a beautiful lake there and also visit nelson bay there. Gold coast is also a wonderful place with many activities you will enjoy it.

How did you like Brisbane Backpackers Resort?? I loved West End. I ended up settling there for like 3 months while in Australia. Great filming. Did you get to stop in Roma Park? Also a very nice one.

I suspect that the "eel" in the lagoon at the Botanic Gardens is actually a lungfish. Which is a pretty rare fish.
Actually, it was an eel. We do have lungfish, but they are in remote areas.

Brisbane is the most livable city in Australia. I lived in the best suburbs in Sydney for 25 years and
had a great business on Bondi Beach. No other city in Australia has so much natural beauty
within a couple of hours of Brisbane. Great city
Got to say Melbourne is a great city too but Brisbane wins my vote for the best most
livable city in Australia with real estate half the price of Sydney. Sydney has lost the plot. Why the hell do people still live their?.
@@anneshaw9681 it's a capital city? Also not to mention pretty sure Sydney and Melbourne are hotspots so it's so expensive to live. Same in Brisbane , I had a mate who rented in the valley and rent was $800 a fortnight not including bills and it's the same all around the CBD, especially kangaroo point considering its across the river and it's still pricey. Only way to get cheap accommodation in Brisbane is to stay at the backpackers hotels or get into housing commission .
