So my mom took it, cut it half at the waist, then sewed it back together with a broad waistband of red fabric. Actually, he was supposed to be an Utrom, a benevolent, brain-like alien stranded on Earth who used a David Warner-shaped mech to get around and blend in with humans. The Utroms founded TCRI as a front to try and repair their ship without arousing suspicion from humans, but the runoff from their ship wound up creating the Turtles and Splinter.
This was scrapped late in production when it was feared that the effects budget couldn't cover all the stuff you'd need to bring the Utroms to life convincingly, and also that kids would confuse him for Krang.

The TGRI Scientist is played by the legendary David Warner. A phenomenal actor who constantly showed up in all the best stuff at the time! He worked with Steve Martin in “The Man with Two Brains.” Played the villain in a time travel movie called “Time after Time”. Played Sark/Dillinger in the first Tron movie, was used in numerous Star Trek projects, and also played one of Batman’s greatest threats, Ra’s Al Ghul in the 1990s animated series. And that’s just barely scratches the surface of the amazing things he has done!

So April wasn't the only one recast. They also recast the voices of both Raphael and Donatello. In the original film, Donatello was voiced by Corey Feldman, but didn't reprise his role until the third film. In this one Donatello was voice by Adam Carl. And Josh Pais (who was both the in-costume actor and voice of Raphael in the first film) was replaced by Laurie Faso.

The first movie I remember seeing Ernie Reyes Jr. (Keno) in was Red Sonja 1985 staring Brigitte Nielsen & ArnoldSchwarzenegger, after being the stunt double for Donatello in the first TMNT movie and being in the second film he stared in his own movie Surf Ninja in 93, and small parts in other action movies like in Jackie Chan's Rush Hour 2, and The Rundown the second film Dwayne Johnson "The Rock" had the lead role in after The Scorpion King his spin off movie from the Brendan Fraser Mummy trilogy.

WWE Retired wrestler Kevin Nash played Super Shredder in the end. I believe the first TMNT Movie was some of the last of Jim Henson's work or input before his death. I believe the first isn't a perfect movie but great. It's superior to this sequel. They went with more goofy things in this sequel. Fighting with toys in the beginning. It was good and brings back memories. Don't watch TMNT 3. You'll never get those 90 minutes back. 😱

The pizza delivery kid, Ernie Reyes Jr., is in 80's martial arts movie that you would like, The Last Dragon. He is much younger in it. I had this movie on repeat as a kid, btw if you notice the turtles really don't use their weapons too much in this movie hardly ever. That's because after the major success of the first one many parents complained that it was too violent for kids so they tuned back the violence and had them almost never use their weapons.

Ernie Reyes Jr appears in the movie, The Last Dragon. Parental groups were mad about how violent the first movie was. That is why the Turtles use their weapons less in this movie and why the tone is lighter. I still like the movie but it isn’t as good as the first movie.

As a kid, I preferred the second film for how fun and cartoonish it is. As an adult though, I prefer the first one because the story and characters are more interesting, and it better knows when to take itself seriously which the second movie never does.
I've always loved both of them, though (as well as the third movie, to an extent). It's just that as my tastes have matured, so too has my opinion on which is my favorite.
